How To Make & Animate Twitch Emotes For FREE (No Software!)

  • You're a growing Twitch Streamer and you NEED Twitch Emotes! You don’t have time to download photoshop, put a photo of yourself in, cut it all out, and then download Premiere Pro or Davinci then learn how to animate those emotes as well! Let alone the money to pay for all of that.
Today I will show you how to do ALL of that, take any photo or image, turn it into a Twitch emote, and EVEN animate it entirely for FREE, with no downloads at all!

What makes a good Twitch Emote?
Well, I think stick to the core of what people enjoy on other streams. Laughing, Hype, Fail, Love, and Hello or Wave are some really good ones to start with.
You can also add channel memes for example the night I reached affiliate there was a joke about this little green rat, so he has been a forever emote on my channel. If you’re lost, then talk to your viewers about what emotes to add, or get ideas from larger streams.
No matter what though it is important to remember, if there is too much detail, too much going on, or you’re too small in the original image, it will be impossible to tell what's going on when the Twitch emotes is shrunk to 112pixels by 112pixels.
If the action is too spread out horizontally, it will get cut off on either side so try to take a simple photo confined to a square box.

What Size Do Twitch Emotes Need To Be?
All Twitch emotes are 112 by 112 pixels thanks to the new uploading system all you need to do is upload it at that size, and it will do the rest.
How To Upload Emotes To Twitch?
The next step is the easiest of all of them, if you’re a Twitch Affiliate, go to your Twitch channel, and head over to your Creator Dashboard, go to Viewer Rewards, Click emotes, and you’ll see on the right upload emote.
Click that, select standard emotes, drag your emote up, and it will Auto-resize to all 3, now add the code for your emote, try to make this code as simple as possible, and use similar codes to large creators so rather than “eljaySalute” we call it “eljay7” so that it makes more sense to viewers.
Once it's uploaded, click the emote, and select the Slot you want it to be unlocked in.
If you’re in good standing it is instant, if you’re a new affiliate then it can take about 2 - 3 days.
The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like Wild4games and Nutty.

I am at 3:26 and If I may make a suggestion? What I personally do is, with my image or an image I capture with the sniping tool. When you capture an image, there is an option for "edit in Paint". I click that, and in ms paint, on the top where the tools are is Image category. Chose the Image category and then chose Remove background. Next you can either use the shortcut Ctrl+w or also, under image is Resize and Skew. Chose this option and in the next window that you are prompt with, set it to Pixels, 112 X 112 but make sure the Link button in between the values is not selected.

My only issue is I made a gif myself hand drawn and it looks fine in 112x112 but shrunk down. It gets blurry. Now is that normal for everything or just animations?
I ask cause I made some emotes before not animated. And they weren't blurry at all and the document is the same size as the animation size.
My doc size is 500x500px and 90 res

    • @alttabhorror
      @alttabhorror 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I’m not Elijay, but I’m a vtuber so I’m familiar with the no face thing. I ended up using inside jokes as some of my emotes. For example, my community loves to make fun of me for enjoying mayonnaise, so I made a jar of Mayo as an emote. Also things like bread for “let’s get this bread” or cheese for if you tend to cheese video games. It’s just a few, but I hope it helped :3
