This is why I have trouble buying consoles. The $99 Gamecube bundled with the Zelda disc was FANTASTIC. Nowadays consoles are generally $300+. Hell the New 3DS XL is $200, and it doesn't even come with a frigging charger!
TBrizzle01 Well the tech has certainly upgraded from back then, I mean think about it. The GameCube was basically the last "standard" plastic box console, just with better graphics. Todays consoles have so much advanced tech that they gotta amp the price in order to make profit. And about the N3DS XL, any one that would actually be interested in going straight for that handheld is 90% likely to have had another DS that uses the exact same charger. And the charger itself can usually be bought at the same store for about 10-15 dollars, so I'd say its totes worth.

It's was the best time of my life. You don't see that kind of passion around game systems anymore. I miss the early 2000s so much...
I remember restarting Wind Waker on my friend's GameCube every time I came over. I remember playing Yoshi's Island on my GBA SP with that same friend. I actually have a framed picture on my wall with manuals of the five GBA games that meant the most to me in my childhood. One day, that frame will mean the world.
I still have the dvd collection of the 2004 e3 conferences this was the first e3 conference I ever saw well on tv anyway I've never been to e3 but I wish I could someday be there heck I wish I was on stage announcing my future video games at E3 but to be honest I don't think I could ever get there I'll probably be an indie-game developer since I have the tools to make them now even know there programs like gamemaker and they'll probably be overshadow by indie-games that has actually been program from scratch but it's worth a shot. hard to believe its been ten years since this conference hope 2014's conference will be as good as this.
I like watching these old e3 videos just to see how wrong they were like with that comment about the this gen console only going to sell around 50 million and ps2 set the record of highest selling console of all time with over 250 million sold

nintendo had a solid foundation of western game ips. they practically "invented" the console fps genre. but they abandoned their western games, focused on fair-weather gimmicks, and stayed "japan-centric," even though japan doesnt even play video games any more. this is going to get uglier the longer nintendo stays in the hardware biz. even worse because nintendo is so financially conservative, they can keep launching products that dont work out, hoping for another wii-like fad

Dharry Fraga snes and n64 had those kinds of games. snes and n64-- 90s consoles. there's nothing new about gamers liking "gore and blood" and teen/young adult themes. nintendo's been floundering, on consoles anyway, since they turned their back on western themes and teen/adult content and nintendo makes too many damn mario and pokemon games, i don't know why they shelved metroid and f-zero
