This show was great. It introduced a new franchise and new partnerships. I have a feeling that the 2020 'Xbox Games Showcase' will give us these 2003-2006 levels of hype in terms of content. Xbox is not done, it wont leave the gaming industry, they are just getting started. The future of Xbox is bright.
That Zanzibar demo brought me to tears. I would love to go back in time to when Halo 2 was the best online game around. I would love to play that game again. It ate up 3 years of my childhood. Good times... The BEST times.
I know that feeling. The original xbox and Halo were such a fundamental part of my childhood,. Just recently I bought my first Xbox One S, haven't had a console since the 360, with Game Pass I was able to download the halo masterchief collection and I got to play Halo 2 again, the feelings and nostalgia came back, totally worth it.

It's funny how Gamecube dominated the kids market and Xbox dominated the adult market and neither made much progress in the other. Both sold like trash. The PS2 appealed to everyone and dominated both systems by a wide margin, with much weaker hardware. Just like the Wii did in the generation that followed, and the Switch.
I would argue that aside from Nintendo, the other companies are doing pretty good right now. Microsoft took a hit with their dumb DRM policies, but I think in time ppl will take them back. I'm a sony fan, and while their PS3 launch wasnt great, PS3 turned out to be the best system of the generation in my opinion, and the future for sony looks very very bright. Nintendo is really the only company I see floundering around looking lost and not knowing what their doing anymore.
