I have a Z Flip 5 and love it! I love the compact design(I can fit it in my jeans pocket!), how customizable Samsung is, and for me the camera works great! Very happy with it and I've had it since launch day.
I had the S22 ultra but traded in for the Z Flip 5. I have no regrets at all. I love this phone! I really like the fact that you can respond to a text message from the cover screen! So convenient! Keep up the great job on your videos! It's so informative and very helpful!!! Thank you!!

I'm going through the same delimma as you, Have a S22 Ultra (2 years now+) and I'm looking to trade it in for a Z Flip 5.
Any Pro's and Con's for the ZF5? Tell me if I'm wrong, but I'm expecting for the battery to not be that good.
@kevin.p9726 The cons are cameras are not anywhere close to the S22 Ultra. In my opinion, the battery life is good. I really have no regrets switching to the Z flip 5! I love the fact that it flips! It's so convenient! Even when I'm grocery shopping, I use the cover screen to look at my list via Google Keep Notes. Even though you have to use Good Lock to add more apps to cover screen, it's so worth it! I don't think I'll ever switch back to that brick of a phone! So if you can live without 100x zoom and a high mega pixel camera. Then you will be fine! Hope this helps a little with your question.
It's so tempting to jump to a foldable, but the rest of my family is stuck in the Apple garden. It really makes me ponder double-carrying. Thanks for bringing back this series as I've appreciated the longer term review over the release week hype.

@@AnasKhan-ni9xx sorry I meant you don't miss out on as much as you think by switching. My family uses iPhones and I've been using iPhone since the 4s. I miss airdrop the most but it's been a easy transition.

The fact that it's battery life is so much better than my old Z Flip 3 is enough for me. Thinking what's next for the Flip 6 or should I try the Fold 6 next
Shot in the dark here, but i've just come from Z flip 3 to 5. I used to enjoy the fact that with Goodlock/Multistar i could use Google wallet on Z flip 3 whilst folded, but on the Flip 5 it asks to open the phone...Has anybody found a work around?
I'm having a flip 3 and it's true that the battery life is just pathetic. Maybe I should get a flip 5 after this.

Have you found a work around? I have seen people remap the double tap on the power button to launch wallet. Is there a way to remap the samsung wallet swipe to google?

I love the flip never really liked big phones I will be a flip user from now on unless I graduate to the fold. I was at my doctor's office and he had never seen any flip and he flipped for mine lol was impressed with the size and outer screen I think I sold him

I Just switched from an iPhone 14 pro, and i am so happy with the change. it's such an amazing form factor, the carmeras are perfectly fine for what i use them for. So i cant complain!

I like my Z Flip, I got the yellow one too. 💛 Had a few Pixels, thought I wouldn't like Samsung apps, but I currently use many of them.

I really enjoy your reviews. I am prompted to purchase the flip, this would be my first.
I had a previous Samsung Flip 3, but I had a problem with the screen protector pulling away from the crease. I had so much trouble trying to get it fixed, I finally gave up and complained to Samsung who offered me a new S22 as a trade plus $300.00. Because I was up for an early trade with AT&T and the Flip Phone 5 was free with another 3-year contract, I decided to take another chance because I really did like the phone because of its size that fits in a pants pocket so well. When it is opened, it has a nice large vibrant screen. So far, I do love this phone! The screen on the front is a game changer.
The Tea advert - Nylon is a non-biodegradable material, meaning when it is disposed of incorrectly it will sit in landfill sites for hundreds of years. It is a recyclable material.

No I do not have a folding phone yet, but I am starting to think about getting one. I appreciate my Sony phone with a headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor much more right now. 👍✌️

Of course the camera fail next to oppo but using it daily,i find super ..if only battery is better bcoz i have a phobia of running out of power but till today that has not yet happen,now im waiting for for os 6.0.keep up ur video man. I love Samsung!! I love my Galaxy S23 and S23+, maybe sometime soon I will try a foldable phone.
This is my 4th flip ....an it's the best . As much as I love the bigger cover screen, I loved the two tone look of the flip 3 an 4 too
With Good Lock installed I use the flex window about 70% of the time. I don't need to open it very often. Cameras are fine for my use but do wish it had a telephoto.
Im so happy i left my iphone for the Z flip 5. Haven't look back at all.

I've ordered a flip5 to replace my old s21. I'm looking for to the practicality of the flip as I have a physical job and traditional bar phones easily get damaged or take up loads of room in my pockets

loving my Z flip 5! the convenient of smaller phone and able to access all my essential app from the cover screen with goodlock. agree with samsung vs google ecosystem challenges, i prefer the google's so i have to setup for everything google to be my default. and i do have to remind my friends not to compare the z flip 5 camera with her s22 ultra.

You're one of the better reviewers on youtube and this was a good review. Having said that I am on Motorola's flip team. Even though the camara maybe not as good, that doesnt bother me. The flip 5 cant get all aps even with good lock,you cant get all aps. They dont work in all states. I am in the uk so maybe that wont be the case here. Still a motorola fan though.
Own a razr 5g treated it like a baby but after one year the main display just died out the blue,man hate Motorola
I went from S22 Ultra, to the Z Fold 4, recently got the Lavender Z Flip 5 and prefer it greatly over anything else. I factory reset and gave my Z Fold 4 away today 😂
I finally swtich from Apple and now Samsung -FlipZ5, it fun and great small compact phone.
I’m not using a foldable phone. I’ve been using my s21 ultra and it’s still phenomenal.ive been wanting the Fold and I guess doing research on the Flip since my last phone payment is end on the mont (Nov 2023). Do I want to save money and stay with my s21 which I love or do I want to upgrade and try new? Either way I go I don’t think I lose
i have it and it’s a beautiful phone but it requires 2 hands to open… a little tough especially when i’m out buying stuff and needs to use certain apps which requires scanning of Qr code. love the compact factor but over time it’s a bit cumbersome open and closing😅
Great video I want a much smaller phone the ultra and iPhone pro max are just to big and heavy for me now I want the z flip 5 in lavender

I finally found a front screen protector that covers the whole front screen, just 2 cameras cut out instead of the file icon screen protector.

Yes it's wonderful and fun to have the outside screen, but I would have been happy to stay with the old robust exterior. It's one of those questions with no final answer

I want buy a Flip but only when I can take fuller advantage of the smaller size when folded i.e the ability to receive and make calls when folded.
My flip 5 don't open all the way. Its slightly curved inward. Im thinking of trading it in for S23 FE before there are more issues 😢
Is anybody else having problems with the fingerprint unlock and face unlock. I have put fingerprint on the right way up, upside down for when it's folded and upside down. Sometimes I pick the phone up not having used it for hours and the screen says " try biometrics later as you have had 5 attempts. Face unlock is totally unreliable as well. Have I got a faulty phone.

I'll make a kai os version of this phone with removable so dimm slot. For $599 with 16gb ram, expandable up to 64 gb. Removable micro SD card supported up to 2tb. Not so concerned about battery I plan to use it with a keyboard and a mouse and it's going to be a ultra portable replacement for workstation PCs. Something like a Gemini pda but buy your own keyboard and mouse. I'm still debating what would be the point of having a foldable display, but then again it could fold up to 8 inch screen and be a Gemini pda that folds down to a tiny little box.

i'm still using the S22U. the flip 5 makes me consider getting a flip. i may just get the flip 6 or 7😊
It's tough going from an ultra to a flip or fold. You'll notice a difference in the camera department. It's definitely a downgrade
@@diogoandrade6894 totally agree. Maybe next gen flip/fold will give us flagship cameras. Oneplus open seem to have a good camera hardware hopefully samsung will follow. i think in the next couple of years foldables will be great as the ultras
Something annoying about the phone are notifications.i have to restart my phone often because I'm unable to pull down my notifications every now and then.

Unfortunately I got rid of my Z flip 5 mainly because of the battery life which wasn't good at all, plus I found myself just not using the flex window that much. Photos looked over sharpened from the camera, video was good but that's about it. Went back to a pixel and got the Pro 8 been happy ever since.
My battery life has been great.
Good phone, but can't heavy use it as battery not durable.😢 But love the design and feel premium.

Z Flip 5 FTW ! dont listen to naysayers , this phone is legit and have a very good battery life despite 3700 mAh. also a very good camera!

Not a fan of the flip, but....i would buy a Flip that doesn't flip 😅. Just have that front screen. I think it would be pretty cool.
