I like how close of a look we get with these cases, but the "ratings" are funny. He likes almost every case, no matter how terrible. "The case is very slippery. I give it a thumbs up!" "Case is so bulky that the phone will not close. I give it a thumbs up!" Lmao

Had the leather case on my flip 4. Please do not buy it, the leather starts to peel easily and it gets stained too. It's very low quality and it doesn't look like they've improved it for Flip 5. There are tons of bad reviews on google too
They should give free case along with the phone for that juicy price tag

I always go with Spigen, their air cushion tech is simply amazing. My S7 had so many falls over the 6+ years I had it and it had no scratches or breaks.

I use the Silicon case with the Ring from Samsung and not only is this ring handy when holding the phone, I also use it with a lanyard around my neck when going out. Even did a test with recording my outside walk with the dog and although it's upside down, you can easily change this with a basic film editor afterwards. The image quality and stability were not bad at all.
How good is it for protecting the phone in case of a drop?

Great video mate, love the community service your providing to the Flipologists. There is a couple of cases I'd like to see added in a future review.
Firstly the Otterbox 'Defender' or 'Flex' whilst the other is the VRS Design 'Terra Guard Wallet'
I am looking for the ultimate protection for work and these two cases mentioned above are my preference.
If you could do a review for these including any other robust cases including Spigen Tough Armor it would be greatly appreciated.
BTW.... I just received a Caseology 'Parallex' case and it is a nice styled case with great protection.
I just received the parallax case and I was a bit concerned it was all plastic with no padding, it's held up well though?
@ThatoneCanuck Hi mate, my Parallex is doing well. I've taken it on and off several times over the past 3-6 months with no issues whatsoever. Good thing they include extra adhesives but I had yet to attach these as the original stickys are working just as they did on day 1

Nice comparison. I use the FLURIKA rugged aramid fiber case... like the PITAKA one and way cheaper ($25). Its frame is a bit thicker, for added protection, and it has a metal ring on the outside, where I attach a dual-side-magnetic ring holder (DesertWest), for super-strong security in the hand.
Also, a tip: I have my Edge Panel handle a bit lower than you, so the power/fingerprint button is centered on it. This lets me easily tell where the button is, increasing the chance of a successful fingerprint match on the first try.

Definitely appreciate this video… always went with the UB Pro models for the last 5 years they’ve been so durable. Wasn’t too sure about the hinge but definitely here for protection. Caseology was definitely my second choice so thank you
Same... Ever since I discovered the UB cases I've never looked back. People might laugh at the bulk or the industrial design but honestly... I've never broken a screen or chipped my phones in the past 6+ years.
@@Zer0Gunner I LOVE the industrial design! I find it totally bada**. 🤣😉 I have a red and black one that I use presently for my Galaxy A50 and it looks fab - in or out of its holster. More importantly, it holds up! I've dropped my phone many a time and Supcase keeps my phone totally safe from any poss fall damage. I'm so with you = a total fan of Supcase UB Pro!
Thank you. You really took time and test all these cases. After trying couple of cases the Ringke Slim is the best for me to use. Because the Ringke case has two lens holes instead of one large cutout so dust cannot stock between the lenses.

This is the best flip 5 case review I have ever come across, thumbs up for a very comprehensive review! I already got myself a Ringo slim transparent case, I got the clear one. I absolutely love how true to its name slim and not bulky. Feels good in hand and does provides minimal protection. Also, just order another Z Flipsuit case, it looks amazing!

Pfffft. Not even CLOSE. Lol! I have THE most GORGEOUS case in existence. It looks like a designer handbag, with a mini 'kerchief' and all. (I wish I could add an image). It's the most adorable thing EVER and there is no place I go where I don't get comments and compliments on it. 🤭❤❤❤

With my 1st Flip 4 phone I had a case with out the hinge protector. I dropped it in the fold position, right onto a concrete floor, the hinge was damaged which ruined the whole phone beyond repair! Now I am ordering the new Flip 5 and I will be ordering a case with HINGE protection!

Thanks for your video man, im about to buy the z flip 5 and was panicking abount what case i should buy, definetly liked the FlipSuit, just fit my style and love the wallpaper chenging on external screen to match the cover color.
I really liked the pitaka too, but for 110€ in my country i think it's too expensive, im not gonna use magsafe feature anyway, but i can't get out of my mind a full carbon fiber cover, maybe in the future i will try some carbon fiber cases, for now i thing im going to buy Samsung FlipSuit case.
P.S. also gonna check if there are mkre video about carbon fiber cases too for z flip 5 😊

The Ringke matte case is very slippery, but the clear one isn’t. It is also difficult to get off, because the case snaps around the camera lenses.

Heard the pitaka case is a fingerprint magnet, how true is it? I really like the in built magsafe.
I got the ring case from samsung free with tbe phone. Works great as i can put a wrist band on it. Might get a eco leather if I can get more discount

@hightechcheck you never mentioned or commented on how the cases with the built in front screen protector cases work with an already installed gorillaglaz front screen protector, will the cases with built in front screen protectors work with a glass protector already in place or will I have pry the front display protector off to use these cases??

I like the subcase case only one thing I'm not like is the hinge cover hopefully it can be removed.
The spigen thin fit pro it's soo good I have it on my flip 5 and wow I try to remove it to clean and it was just impossible. So to protect the phone it's very good, I already dropped 🫳 my phone 📱 😢 3 times but everything is good. Oh yeah and get the screen protector very important...

1st case, there's no raised protection around camera lenses, and the cutouts on the bottom are leaving too much of the phone exposed. I would say that overall, it is not protecting the phone that well.
PITAKA cases are very deceiving that way, but I can promise you gram for gram, they are strong and durable, lightweight, very thin, and have protected every phone I've gotten one for from drops from the 3-5 foot range. They aren't cheap, but they are extremely well made cases. Also it may not have seemed apparent in the video, but they DO have a raised oval around the camera lenses. Always my first choice in case when I can afford it.
Did the phone had microscratches or paint chipping after multiple installation/removal of cases? Which among these cases is less likely to cause this?

almost all of the cases have these stickers to help the parts stay in place, but what if you want to change your case? wouldn't the stickers collect dust and don't stick as good anymore?
I have the Samsung made FlipSuit case and unfortunately dropped my phone and can report that the case HAS NOT come off the phone in the process and no damage to my phone..Yeah!!

@Xeno0207 it's a little slippery, but I think you'll be all right as you get used to handling the phone.. I was thinking the ring might have been a good idea, too, but It's not worth ordering another case over! Hope that reassures you a little!

I have samsung silicone indigo and tried others but i always came back using the silicone
whats with the stickers? Does this mean if I remove the case and put it on again a few times the adhesive wears off? What's it for anyway? I just thought these things snap on
The cases use stickers because they can’t put too much material to hold onto the inner portion of the case, because it has to fold flat. The second reason is because the case is a two piece design and the front cover portion is super thin in some areas so it bends very easily. And yes, if you take the case off the phone a lot and the stickers become less adhesive, the case will not stay on the phone as well.

How hard is it to get the rinkge slim matte case off again with the stickers applied? Don't want to destroy my phone trying to get it off again.
The stickers hold on pretty good but you can pull the case off if you lift the case from the opposite ends. Using a plastic pick helps too.
I tell you what it's impossible to get that ON without removing the stickers because the adhesive cover extends way out. I'm just not going Install any adhesive on the phone during the humid Florida summers because it will then become a permanent goo.. Looks like i'm looking for another alternative....
