Yeah it’s def taken away a lot of mindless scrolling it was quite nice. I can see it being useful for a handful of people def not a gimmick like I expected.
As a disabled person in a wheelchair for 14 years, the Z-Flip in a case with a strap is a true game changer. I can hang it from my joystick and not worry about the screen banging into the metal parts of the chair. Plus it's discreet, don't have to worry so much about thieves, it's easy to hide in my hand closed and fits in a crossbody clutch.
The fingerprint button is fine where it is. Closed use your thumb, opened use your forefinger. You can add as many fingers as you want.. Doesn't have to be your thumb. Simples..👍 😊
I loke this phone. Being a person with low self control when it comes to my phone, having a small screen to check my notifications and limited info is something i like.
Fair review. I use the cover display about 70% of the time. Just install Good Lock. Too bad Samsung doesn’t make it easy to unlock the best features. I left the iPhone last year and glad I did.
It’s a module you can get from the Samsung store. Download it, tap multi star, Galaxy Foldable, Launcher widget and select the apps you want on the cover screen. Convoluted but it works well enough.
lifelong iphone user here. i’ve been legitimately thinking of trying to switch over to an android phone, even if just for 1 generation of phone. i’ve had my eye on this one for awhile and think i will switch over when i can handle it money wise. just having trouble finding ways to justify switching because i have been an iphone user so long (airpods, apple watch, facetime, find my with loved ones etc)

when you pre-order with the new gen phone (they come out in the new year every year...around march), you get credit for something free....choose the samsung earbuds and boom. Word to the wise, order directly through samsung's website and purchase the samsung premium care+. They are the *Best* at warranty work....if you break the phone they will have a new one to your front door the next day (i've done this every year except this year since 2020....i own a building company and break about 1 phone per year. This year i've finally almost made it without needing to warranty out a new phone). My wife is an iphone user and has the apple care....samsung beats her apple care hands down. She admits my phone is better in every way over her iphone (and has been since the S20ultra 5g) but even though she could care less about keeping up with the joneses in every area of her life...for some reason she refuses to switch to samsung because it isnt apple. The one "bougie" thing she demands. Must be an iphone lol

I'm a professional portrait artist and after missing the Note series and feeling disappointed at the prior foldable I got a Z Flip 5. I use cameras 24/ 7 and like the portable size of the Flip. The 5s camera needed the a sensor upgrade and the 6 got it making many improvements like resolution. The Flip continues to deliver surprisingly advancements in performance for those who use it. The design aspects are all a deliberate move for a look and feel that has the sophistication of great architecture and the flat sides are part of it. I'm super glad to see Samsung move away from years of curved edges.
I had the Flip 4. Just traded it in for Flip 6 with a $1k trade in value. I love the improvements over the 4. It's unique, and I'm used to having to flip up. I think for those who like tactile fidgiting, this is good as well. It just feels good to open and close. I don't know why, but it just does.
I got this and the razr plus 2024 I opted to keep the flip 6 better finished product and more power. I think they did a really good job on this device and also rumor is oneui 7 is going to change the whole look of the phone, and add alot of feats to the folds and flips with more Iphone like experience combined with the new pixel like experience. I think once that beta drops which is rumored 2nd week of sept I think we will see even more people grab the flip.
Good review. It's the form factor for me. I like having a big screen but I don't like it hanging off my belt or sticking out my my pocket. Yard work for example, the flip can ride in a shirt pocket buttoned shut and protected from dust, dirt , damage. Or in a pants pocket that a normal phone would protrude from. Most of my phone use is text msgs and notifications and that can be read easily on the cover screen. Also Android auto is used a lot and in the car the phone takes up less space when sitting the in the console. I'd say 60% of my phone use is on the cover screen. Also the flip uses less desk space, so having it out on the desk at work is less of a nuisance than a regular phone. Coming from a Flip 4, the enhanced cover screen is nice plus with the Good Lock app enabling many useful apps to run on the cover screen. If I'm low on battery I can use the app on the cover screen which in theory should use less battery. I hold the phone in my left hand and the fingerprint scanner is in the just the right place for my index finger. I had a Motorola phone a few years ago that had the scanner on the upper back of the phone and that seemed to be the right spot for either hand. Last comment, there are too many apps pre-installed. going through and removing/disabling them seemed to get a noticeable jump in performance.
Appreciate your honest review, even if the phone's not for you! For me, i appreciate how the form factor makes me more conscious of when im opening my phone so i use my time on the phone more wisely instead of somehow getting trapped into doomscrolling. Also as a girl, the small size helps it fit into those tiny pockets they put on our pants for some reason. Not to mention i just think the phone is cute and that's reason enough for me to like it
I still need to see the benefit of choosing this over the S24. The S24 is a lot cheaper in the UK at the moment, has a zoom camera, and is also a smaller form factor. Probably will be more rugged and has full dustproofing. So, I am assuming people will pay more for the novelty of a flip phone. Fair enough, but an easy pass for me.

Thanks for the review! Since you've tried both the fold & flip, which one do you recommend? I'm getting my flip 6 today, but still not sure whether I should've gone with the fold instead.
I bought it thinking I was going to use the outer screen for most things. But things like the Chick-Fil-A app, for example, the QR code did not work unless I opened the phone. Not so much luck here. I am a long time Samsung fan since S3 and all the Note series. Recently, I did a trade-in from zFlip 5 to a beautiful zFlip 6 💛 just for a bigger size battery. Loving all the fun features and compact that I can fit into my jeans and purse. Not even one month of usage, front screen works but inside display gave me a black screen of death. Already tried everything I can on TH-cam vids to revived it by pressing volume down and power button until I see the Samsung local. Still only the front display works, battery gets really hot! Sadly, I have to take it back to Samsung store to fix. Got myself a brand new S24+ now $$$, not too happy with this experience, I decide to just keep the S24+ and sell the zflip 6 if it's fixable.
I’m really glad it’s not wide! Most phones are based on the model of a male hand! Which means for a lot of women they are too wide, so I like that there is an option for people with smaller hands 😅
@@chloeapples I'm a woman with small hands, but I always get the Note or the Ultra. I like a big wide screen. Everyone has different preferences. Maybe they should make 2 versions - wide or thin! Lol
I still use the flip 5g (first one) and it's my second daily drive. I also got the fold but if I'm being honest, the first 6 months I just haven't used the fold functions, it's too bulky, heavy and I dropped it way too many times. The flip just feels easy to close, put in pocket and forget about.
The last few years I’ve really gone back and forth. Might have to try a folding phone soon as they look so interesting and the flip has such an appealing design imo. Good video ✌️
Yeah I agree with you. Saw Motorola Razr 50 ultra is superb when it comes to cover screen functionality… the back vegan leather finish is pretty awesome. Only thing I missed in that Moto Razr 50 ultra is the one UI 6.1.1

Nice review, my phone is arriving tomorrow, looking forward to it, I think I'd love it for sure. I personnally bought it because I do a lot of running as well as trail running, so having a smaller smarphone that I can slip in my running betl, take out easily to check Google maps that's great. As of today I have have to deal with a Galaxy S24 Ultra definitely not the best phone to go running with
Dude, thank you for your honest review. It really was very helpful. I enjoy your videos and you got a subscribe for me. Sorry you have to deal with some really ignorant comments here.
I got one replacing a S23 and I can say I'm enjoying it. I was really bored with phone models for the last couple of years. Since it's a latest generation on SoC and upgraded camera, I gave it a try
im someone who used to always have the flagship phone and i thought the 15 pro max last december would be my last purchase but for some reason, i really like the flip 6 and didnt actually look back. I like the way I can immediately turn it into a smaller phone when folded. Although a lot of my pain point comes from the imessage availability and carplay. You cant type while druving on android auto. But for just the phone itself, i really prefer the flip 6 even with its downsides and not super advanced camera tech
@yes_hunny When you use carplay or android auto, you just have to speak to siri or bixby for that and they just speak what the message it. You have to try it if you havent edit. im mentioning i cant type on WAZE. When on android auto, i cant type where i want to go when the car is running even at 1mph. On carplay, you can
Hi, I play genshin and moba and currently own oneplus 12 which I utilize both for work and personal... planning to get another phone for personal so I won't be disturbed by messages and consistent calls from work phone....I realy like the size of the flip 6 esp when folded but I'm hesitant because of the battery. Should I still get it?
How is the battery life? My friend has it and states the battery drains quickly considering she doesn’t even use it much do to being at work for extended hours.
I was so geeked to switch to this phone from the Iphone world. Growing up with flip phones it's been like an itch I've needed to scratch since they disappeared. However, my gf ordered one and literally almost right out of the box within the first 15 minutes the screen was very warm and the outer screen hot to the point where it was uncomfortable to even touch. Is this normal? Seemed absolutely crazy to me that a phone with a screen that would reach that heat point would even be released.
I got the flip 6 & have never had this problem. It did get a bit warm when I was transferring all my data from my previous phone (which is to be expected), but I haven't had that issue since. Maybe you had a dud device.
Yes initial setup on every phone is very taxing to it. It’s unpacking and caching a bunch of data and using almost all of the processors threads, storage and memory. This happens on iPhone too!
There is a benefit for you if you highlight their pros and lowlight their cons, in future they will send more devices to you or don't say no to you. This is called access journalism.
Majority of the time I don’t link them because I usually use some paid wallpapers. But I get most of mine, like this one from Walli. If you want nice wallpapers check out Unsplash as well.
Well, actually there might be a benefit for you, if you do a "good" review. Samsung will probably get back to you and offer more items to review in the future. Still believe you will do a honest review.
Nope. Samsung will continue to send what I ask, they don’t blacklist people like Google for a bad review. I’ve trashed Samsung many times in previous videos, they actually prefer creators be honest.
This foldable size will help *wizened-minded women* who walk in areas where pickpockets are tempted -- even where teef and robbers, will just plain ask -- *and then demand it.* Women, stop *silly-sashaying phones in your butt pockets!*
As an iphone user for the past 6 years, I kinda want it. Been getting bored of iphones even though there's nothing wrong with them. I want a zflip but leaving the ecosystem of Apple is going to be hard augh.

I traded off an ipad my apple watch ultra airpods pro and iphone 15pro and honestly had money left over with Samsung they give you instant credit via website and ship your stuff 2nd day air. I got the flip 6 buds pro 3 and galaxy watch ultra now
Honestly I think they should scrap the front camera entirely or at least make it a under display camera since it's going to be rarely used. Only time i can think of that someone might use the front camera is for like zoom and video calls but if they can use the front display it would be cool.
@duplexdubr5423 i don't understand why people are still using a slab phone when samsung already released flip6. a giant slab phone isn't as practical anymore cause it's too big to carry around every day. i mean do people carry around a desktop computer? no lol only apple fanboys say it's a gimmick cause apple already behind 10 years
You're right, I guess I got caught up with how you started your video. This form factor is absolutely not a gimmick and it's benefits, as you've stated have to be appreciated.
@@valismindwell, you also literally said that it was a gimmick and nobody needs a phone with this form factor 😅. Perhaps next time frame it as a question and answer it with what is your take on it later in the video. Just a thought.
Changing a phone these days feels quite pointless, as the feel remains the same and prformance is imperceptibly more. This phone actually adds to the excitement and the performance is not shabby by any stretch. Its essentially s 24+ with foldable design and without telephoto lens.
Yes, it gets hot if you are a power user, like gaming on 5G. It has some of the poorest thermals out there with heavy throttling. But for day-to-day use, which is what it should be bought for, it is fine.
I dont know what to do bc I’m reaaally into the Apple ecosystem so what im gonna do with my watch, AirTags and everything, also the z flip cameras are not convincing 😭

@@valismind no I did watch the whole video and the review wasn't terrible, it just started awfully negative. Many people do just cut and run when a video starts it that way.. I think that your review of this phone is narrow viewed though. You need to possibly consider the type of buyer interested in this device. Incorporate use cases this device is meant for, or makes possible, and not so much of how it's directly comparable to a slab phone. You spent most review showing how some features are better on a slab phone yet very little time showcasing what it can do a slab phone cannot. They make a phone for every type of buyer and the review of that phone should be from a similar perspective. People buying this are not cross shipping with the galaxy ultra or iPhone.

The organic back gets permanently dirty but with limited updates most likely just a temporary phone
great video, love my samsung s10e finding it hard to let go. Had a play with the flip yesterday in the AIS store Thailand I want one the pocketability is cool and just looks like a fun phone and thats what we forget in life is to have fun everything is too serious I want to keep in touch with my son in the uk more and I think this will make taking and sending photos to him more fun thank you for a great review love some of the comments as well....
@8:30 you don't have to use your thumb for the fingerprint scanner, you can scan your index or which ever is more comfortable.
There is no way in the world using my index would be more comfortable than my thumb though
I don't know how you're holding your phone but the fingerprint is 100% meant to be used with your index
I feel like people spend to much time worrying about the camera. It's a in your pocket computer. The camera is just a perk of it.
Camera is very important if you have a social life
Nice review, my phone is arriving tomorrow, looking forward to it, I think I'd love it for sure.
Thanks for keeping your review 100%
I got one replacing a S23 and I can say I'm enjoying it.
I was really bored with phone models for the last couple of years.
Since it's a latest generation on SoC and upgraded camera, I gave it a try
Iphone 16 pro or z6 flip which to buy
Im using iphones for 6 years now and i think im gonna give the z6 flip a try, such a good looking phone!
We just ordered the blue from Samsung, and I am excited for the new phone. It’s bananas! LOL
im someone who used to always have the flagship phone and i thought the 15 pro max last december would be my last purchase but for some reason, i really like the flip 6 and didnt actually look back. I like the way I can immediately turn it into a smaller phone when folded. Although a lot of my pain point comes from the imessage availability and carplay. You cant type while druving on android auto.
But for just the phone itself, i really prefer the flip 6 even with its downsides and not super advanced camera tech
i'm sorry but why would you text and drive? that is literally an invitation for the grim reaper to pay a visit 😅
@yes_hunny When you use carplay or android auto, you just have to speak to siri or bixby for that and they just speak what the message it. You have to try it if you havent
edit. im mentioning i cant type on WAZE. When on android auto, i cant type where i want to go when the car is running even at 1mph. On carplay, you can
@yes_hunny it's also illegal in many countries
really great review that encompasses the real user experience, and I liked to listen to
Nice seiko presage! Would look really cool with a leather strap
Does the cam have pro mode?
Hi, I play genshin and moba and currently own oneplus 12 which I utilize both for work and personal... planning to get another phone for personal so I won't be disturbed by messages and consistent calls from work phone....I realy like the size of the flip 6 esp when folded but I'm hesitant because of the battery. Should I still get it?
I kind of want to buy it but if so i want to be able to have it for a time at least 2-3 years will it hold on for that long?
All Samsung phones hold for over 10 years +
The screen fold is much more noticable in your test (the game footage especially) than in other reviews.
How is the battery life? My friend has it and states the battery drains quickly considering she doesn’t even use it much do to being at work for extended hours.
it's the same as s24 but idk about longevity since it has one larger and a smaller battery which adds up to 4000mAh
I really like the flip! But I love my fold 6 more haha
The phone you received may be not good, or it’s just your gf may have been A LOT when setting up.
Asking for a like and a follow after calling the phone gimmicky to people who are clearly looking for a good review of the phone is craazzzzyyyy
Hey - maybe watch the entirety of the video?
There is a benefit for you if you highlight their pros and lowlight their cons, in future they will send more devices to you or don't say no to you. This is called access journalism.
Nice nails dude, never knew you are a long tips kinda guy
The most frequently asked questions in every phone review: Where can we get that wallpaper?
i need that??
Majority of the time I don’t link them because I usually use some paid wallpapers. But I get most of mine, like this one from Walli. If you want nice wallpapers check out Unsplash as well.
Well, actually there might be a benefit for you, if you do a "good" review. Samsung will probably get back to you and offer more items to review in the future. Still believe you will do a honest review.
Nope. Samsung will continue to send what I ask, they don’t blacklist people like Google for a bad review. I’ve trashed Samsung many times in previous videos, they actually prefer creators be honest.
The fold crease causes me anxiety of it failing
Like this man's manicure
lol thats my wife
Best phone I've had. So handy having the small screen.
is it true that the screen has many issues like for durability?
if u want to pay by NFC , u have to unlock, can u unlock while the phone is closed?
I can do it with the phone closed on zflip 4, I just have to double tap the front screen x
I love it minus the camera and the crease will only last 2 years max in perfect conditions. Battery life is kinda bad too
Still can't beat my oppo n3 flip with 4300 mAh.. so far the best flip phone with triple cameras 😊
my flip 6 is making a glue noise when opening fully and closing fully do i get it reviewed by samsung (first day of use)
This foldable size will help *wizened-minded women* who walk in areas where pickpockets are tempted -- even where teef and robbers, will just plain ask -- *and then demand it.*
Women, stop *silly-sashaying phones in your butt pockets!*
lol bro I got this for my 17th birthday heeheeheeha
- the best part is I get to play brawl stars or other games on a bigger screen (upgraded from s7)
As an iphone user for the past 6 years, I kinda want it. Been getting bored of iphones even though there's nothing wrong with them. I want a zflip but leaving the ecosystem of Apple is going to be hard augh.
Been an apple user since 2009 and I switched and this best shit I could've ever done. I regretted it for about one week (learning curve) but I'll prob never go back now that Ive learned it
I traded off an ipad my apple watch ultra airpods pro and iphone 15pro and honestly had money left over with Samsung they give you instant credit via website and ship your stuff 2nd day air. I got the flip 6 buds pro 3 and galaxy watch ultra now
11:59 the change in mic quality's crazy
Came here for the phone.... is that the seiko,?... the presage vintage ....it's really nice... I'll take the watch, and a z flip 4 instead.
Honestly I think they should scrap the front camera entirely or at least make it a under display camera since it's going to be rarely used.
Only time i can think of that someone might use the front camera is for like zoom and video calls but if they can use the front display it would be cool.
Weird that you can't understand why this form factor is so appealing to people who are tired of giant slabs and want a smaller phone.
Hmm maybe watch the video - I literally say how much I enjoy it.

I have the s22 ultra and thinking about getting this phone
Are you lying if you don't put (Honest Review) on your titles?
Hey man, great video! I would really appreciate if you could do another video with all the AI features that this phone includes 🍌
A friend of mines got one n it’s overheating a lot, is this normal?
No I got a 24 plus with the the same processor ...and it literally never heats up
No, I don’t feel it “overheating” it’s never shut off. It can get warm under heavy use, but never while just browsing stuff.
Yes, it gets hot if you are a power user, like gaming on 5G. It has some of the poorest thermals out there with heavy throttling. But for day-to-day use, which is what it should be bought for, it is fine.
Its got a vapour champer to combat this issue @andyH_England
you act like opening the phone is a workout or something. how much self control do you have that if you open a phone you will get "lost in an app"?
480$ new no trade in can’t beat that
Try the moto razr plus you will love it
Maybe. It looks interesting.
Nice review! 🍌
Glad you liked it!
I really wanna switch I have the iPhone 15 pro max I’m looking forward too getting this phone or the s24 ultra I need something with good battery life
I dont know what to do bc I’m reaaally into the Apple ecosystem so what im gonna do with my watch, AirTags and everything, also the z flip cameras are not convincing 😭
Never understood TH-camrs who don’t link the wallpaper…
Majority of the time I’m using paid packs, but like I’ve said 10000X before. I get all my wallpapers from Walli & Unsplash. Unsplash for real images, Walli for illustrated.
@@valismind new subscriber here. Thanks for the info.
Waiting to received it but still out of stock
How do I voice to text? I don't want to send voice message
It's been 1 week since it released i thought it was released 1 month ago
It has, but I’ve only been using it for a week 😂
@@valismind ohhh alr
It released on july 24 where im at so its been 3 weeks. Im almost at 3 weeks with the flip6 i got it saturday of release day.
I super like the Flipppppp
Man this is GameBoy SP Nostalgia to the max screw apple same copy and paste layout for years no innovation
I dont like it when its so tall height and narrow if it be samw like mix flip or oppos then i be happy :)😊
Typical review with the same perspective from the first flip
Thanks!🍌
Flip a gimmick? Lol. I'm more satisfied with my flip 5 (and flip 4 before it) than any other smartphone I've ever owned.
So you just so happened to watch the first 30 seconds and form a conclusion about the content in the video?
🍌 - a more in depth video with this phone would be super cool!
Tell the Characteristics !
is a brilliant phone but can hurt you.
MOTOROLA IS BETTER THIS FLIP PHONE DOES NOT COVER THE WHOLE FRONT SCREEN 😂😂😂😂😂☠️☠️

Skill issue 😂
