This is the best video. I have to say you can’t stress this tip enough about making sure the working yarn in thrown up and over your work when beginning each row. I don’t knit like you. I hold the yarn in my right hand and if that yarn ever gets inside that infinity loop it gets so messed up! Very important tip which I don’t think is stressed enough🤪😂Another important thing with magic loop is the set up or the framework..to realize the needles ALWAYS point to right and the working yarn always in the back, also you always pull the back yarn to knit the front needle. I know you know this but I hope this comment helps someone else like me. 😘

Thanks Kay, I’ve made a sock I am so pleased with and there are no holes - not even little ones!

I come back to this tutorial over and over. I love how you have broken this down! Thank you for it and Merry Christmas!
You’re so welcome!! Merry Christmas!!! ❤️
This is the best sock.....well actually the best knitting tutorial I’ve ever used. Thx these were my 1st pair of socks I’ve ever knit and I’ve knit for years.
❤️❤️❤️
You are a real Talent for demonstrating how to knit a sock ever so clearly. It would be wonderful if you could share with us a further one on knitting socks starting from the toe . That would be really cool. Have a nice Advent with a candle while you are knitting.
Thanks to your videos I am addicted to making socks. So good for my mental health! Thanks and I look forward to all of your videos!
Love how you gave tips and tricks along with the tutorial. It was so detailed and easy to follow. Thank you for doing this.
Thank you!! I’m so glad you like it. ❤️
Thank you for posting this tutorial, I have completed my first sock. You made it clear and easy to follow.I may become addicted to knitting socks .thank you again
This was the fastest sock I've ever made. Thank you for the clear instructions and video!
I swapped out the long-tail cast-on for a cable cast-on on larger needles as I find it extra stretchy (just not quite as clean a cuff though)
Omg I’m so glad I found your video, I’ve spent a week of headaches trying to knit my first sock! You are deserving of a medal 🥇 thank you xx
I can't thank you enough for this tutorial - I've made my first pair of socks & I'm really pleased with the result. I've already started my second pair, couldn't have done it without you!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! It took almost 2 months but I have my first sock complete! Already starting my second!
Thank you for this amazing tutorial, I’ve knitted my first pair of socks after trying so many times, now I’ve done it, yeahhh!!😊
I just finished knitting my first sock!I am so excited! Thank you.!
Genius idea to put time links for each portion of the process. ! Saving this one for future reference.
I've been knitting socks for like half my life (15 years?), and have never tried the magic loop method - I'm really intrigued and need to see if i have the yarn to try these asap! Thanks for such a great tutorial!
Fantastic tutorial. I've been knitting socks for years and I still picked up some tips. Thank you!
I come back to your video tutorials time after time. They’re such a help! Thanks so much!
Thank you SO much for this tutorial! The explanations were amazing and easy to follow, even for a beginner like me :) I just finished my first sock! And I can't wait to start the 2nd one!
I finished my first sock yesterday with plenty of mistakes. Going back to your video taught me what I did incorrectly and I’m confident that my 2nd sock will be perfect 😍. Thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial.Got my magic loop needles in Am so excited to get started. Thank you for all your tips.
Yay!!! Can’t wait to see your socks Carol!
I've finally made a sock!!! Thank you sooo much for the detailed explanation, I'm just learning to knit and I couldn't manage to make a sock untill I've found your precious video!
That awkward moment when you try on your sock and realize your calf is a little too big for the cuff and now you have to frog the whole thing 🥲
Thank you so much with your help I was able to learn how to knit and make socks for myself ,my daughter and my husband ❤
I’ve had so much fun knitting my first sock I stayed up until 2 am knitting- after I started the heel flap I couldn’t stop until I’d finished the gusset decreases
Wooo!!! That is so exciting!!! 🎉
Always happy I can't come back to this video to watch certain parts as I'm learning to knit socks.
I’ve been planning on knitting my first socks but could not parse directions for the heel turn until now. Thank you!
I made this! It’s the first successful sock pattern I’ve completed. Perfect fit. Thank you!!
Thank for this tutorial! I'm typically a toe up with an after thought or short row heel, but I wanted to see if this heel fit me better. It was so easy following along with you! I may even switch to cuff down from now on 🤣
Hi I’m on my third pair of socks, the first two pairs I knitted using your other video with the 9” needles. Magic loop is less tedious and stressful on my hands. Thank you for clear instructions and also for the time stamps on the pattern.
Excellent most understandable tutorial! And yes I was only going to watch a part but ended up watching the whole thing😊
Great tutorial! I find your voice so relaxing! I've been knitting socks for a few years and still found this very helpful, excellent tips! Thank you so much!
❤️❤️
OK, so 7 pairs later, O ferl like a pro.
Cannot imagine knotting socks any other way...so happy.
Big hug to the Crazy Sock lady from Melbourne Australia🤗
My typing not really so bad but on an iPhone my chubby fingers🤨
when i do a heel turn i get the overwhelming feeling of gratitude that knitters more than a century ago figured this out and shared it because i would have never come up with it on my own lol!
Yes! ❤️
Just wanted to say thanks!! This is so much better than DPN !! No ladders & no gaps, on both socks!!❤❤
Your tutorial was excellent. I wish I could be finished one sock in an hour Lol ❤️🧶
Oh my ME TOO! How awesome would that be! 😆
This is very good and comprehensive tutorial on sock knitting. Very well done! I love how you explain everything and show exactly what you are doing.
Thank you so much! Great tutorial! This will be my first pair of socks and I’m excited to have this video to help me along!
So far I only have one knitting project to my credit: one pair of mittens. So I decided to follow your tutorial to knit a shortie sock (as practice) to familiarize myself with the heel construction and it turned out perfect. Now I'll be able to follow a similar sock pattern without getting confused. Thank you for your help! 😀
This tutorial helped me knit my first sock! Wonderfully done!
You purl beautifully and your tension is spot on - It’s so inspiring 🧦
I just made my first sock, thank you for sharing this tutorial! It was very easy to follow and the results came out beautifully. 💕❤
Appreciate this great video! I could not have completed my 1st sock without you! I now have some confidence to continue on with the 2nd although I only have a little over 40 grams left of my sock yarn! Thanks so much!
Does the first slip knot count as the first stitch?
Yes it does :)
I love your tutorial. I bought the writing pattern on ebay. I've already knitted 3 socks. I'm starting the 4th one. My friends love it too! Thank you.
This is so great, thank you. Would be so great if you did a tutorial on flexible DPN's to finish up this series :)
Kay, thank you so much for putting the tutorial together. I've completed my first sock!!! Onto the second. Your instructions were so easy to follow and socks have been taunting me for so long. Thanks again.
My crochet brain absolutely cannot figure this out!
Chandi @expressionfiberarts on TH-cam taught me how to knit. Maybe it’ll help
What helped my crochet brain is hundreds and hundreds of swatches. Just to practice on the basic stitches, which is all you need to make these socks. Lots of wash cloths, lol.
I cannot thank you enough for your video. I have tried so many times to make socks but was never successful... until now !! I have completed my first pair and am working on second. So grateful. Thx !!
I've really got to learn how to continental knit *sigh*.
Why? I am sticking to my English style and interpreting all the continentals!
@@risenshine2783 Kinda confusing with the yarn on the left hand crotchet style. So do the join work the same. I'd rather find an English tutorial, especially adding the Magic Loop technique first time
@@patn6983 yes this is backwards to how i learned how to knit holding yarn in right hand not left. I’m totally lost on this lol
