That's a cracking buy for that price & well under scrap price as you say, I scrapped my 75 last year as the rats had got into it & chewed wiring & the tin worm was bad on n/s rear sill so £400 wasn't to be sniffed at & they collected it too.
I think the prices have gone down since then, it made buying a cheap runaround pretty difficult.
Looks a clean 75 for £200 and you will keep it like the others poor Fred the shed he could of done that scrap run and fitted more in the back 😂🤣
I'm a channel member again! Best birthday gift ever woop woop.
Thank you 😊
Lovely colour 😬
It does suit it
I think Charles could do with a bit more exposure, some nice fettling would turn this car around me thinks 🤓
It will get more, and I will have it ready for sale soon, too
All joking aside it's not a bad looking car think the estate looks better. Did I just say that .I need a drink 🤣🤣✌️👍
Rover have always been unfairly treated 😊
I would take great pleasure in valeting this. Poorboy Black Hole paint cleaner would add loads of gloss and darkness to the gunmetal grey paint. But this is the first Rover 75 I've ever seen with naff Volkwagen Polo-caliber carpets @1:08. I thought 75's all used proper BMW-ish carpets.
1 push drivers door 2 push all doors push and hold = boot
Thank you
Didn’t even know you had a new car. How did I miss that ? I find I have to press the central locking button twice to open the doors on mine.
Nobody knew until this morning
Bloody hell !! I have started getting notifications from YT for your updates 😁 and your on the way to twn thousand subs .... Big up to you and the comrades,🎉❤ Dan
Did you forget to press the notifications button?
OMG Charles? Tidy looking 75 Mustard. Another scrap run and you'll be in front.
Indeed!
Erm i have the answer which you may not like.. Scrap Fred. Theres your 67 quid and then some
😅😅 Fred isn't mine, though!
@ProjectNigel not sure what scrap value is these days. I'm sure 3 ways you'd still pay off 67 pounds
No no no.
Cracking days work. Well done
Thank you
You would look at Charles? and never think it was a £200 motor let alone a £67 motor. I don't think I can get anywhere near that with my ZT-T, no matter how many engines I weigh in. Just remembered, I have a set of rear light gaskets you can have (looks like you need them), no idea why I bought them!
you wanted a larger car for family protection duties after Eric RIP- is Charles? that car?
It is for the moment
@@ProjectNigel ticks most if not all the boxes
I too love Charles?
I used to have a 2005 ZT in X Power Grey is always thought is was an awesome car.
Yeah, they're not bad
Nice find! Love the number plate haha
Thank you
Looks a beauty, another Great British car to save 👍
I love to save them
Aah yes. Charles? is a much better name for a 75. The whole Montego thing I mentioned in the previous video.
😅😅
Charles looks like he could be made into a decent 🚗 😊
Yes he will
I would love a list of common faults in a video, i would be interested to see how many my wife’s tourer has.
I am going to do exactly that thos week
@0:16 "Charles?"
I do like a nice 75
Monty looked better in the rain! 😅
Charles? 😆
Oh My God ! A PLO supporter !
PL0 😅
Technically, that almost makes it a free car!! Winner winner chicken curry dinner!!
Very close on free
Another good video and the car looks good for £200 Paul 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
£200! Bargain with five months test.
Would the OMG plate have any value?
Looks really nice, good colour too.
Some might see value in the plate I guess 😆
@@ProjectNigel We used to have a new Ferrari going around in our town with OMG in the reg plate !
I reckon it would be a good idea to find out what that plate might be worth, I mean there is a whole subculture with its own magazine dedicated to number plates!
The towbar will fit on a tourer, so I would transfer it to Fred the Shed if I were you.
Fred already has a towbar
Rovers dont do anything for me, 100% 80s,90s,00s volvo guy, but lot of car for the money, and a uniqueness to be appreciated.
The '90s Rovers were good cars. Ibam with you on Volvo though
I see you still the blue 800 sat doing nowt you refused to give me an price on it over a year ago
It's not mine. The guy who owns doesn't want to give me a price or pay for it to be here.
200 Pounds? You'd think that the damn thing would weigh more than that 👀😜🤪! I love when customers throw Engines and stuff in their cars before they hand them over to us😅.
It's about £350 weigh in, but I definitely won't be doing that
Is the boot dry ?
No 😅
@@ProjectNigel 😆 I've just recently picked up a nice 05 75 CDTI Saloon with a genuine 27,000 on the clock and just cured, I hope, the well known rear water leak 🤔
I have an 05 tourer, my third, that's got an odd engine problem that I can't yet put my finger on and was looking for something as a run about so I could take it off the road for a bit more investigating.
I've followed you for quite a while and keep intending to pop by one day if I'm up that way.😉
💪💪👍👍
😆😆😆
Every time I see a 75 it just makes me feel a bit sad. Rover had a chance and the money to do something genuinely cool for a change, but no, they had to make something that only appealed to crusty old boomers. I still remember the feeling of disappointment the first time I saw it. Such a waste.
I always liked them. They were let down by something else
@@ProjectNigel it was just the styling. Doesn't look too bad now, but that's because I am now old. There was no way 18 year old me would be seen dead in one.
@@KarlHamiltonTo be fair, there wasn’t a full-sized saloon or estate made by anyone that was designed to appeal to 18-year-olds! What would have been the point? Youths don’t need one and they can’t afford one either. This segment was always the very definition of mature driver, going all the way back in time. Rover deserved credit for deliberately catering for an older market with the 75 - these days, all manufacturers are obsessed by youth and sportiness, it’s embarrassing.
@@spitfires1979 Silence, boomer.
@@KarlHamiltonI’m Generation X though.
The advanced man-maths displayed in this video are pushing the boundaries of the field. An example to us all - let us be free of dreary economic realities and buy more knackered but profitable cars immediately. I’m off to look at an MGF tomorrow, I have a feeling that will prove an extremely sound business decision.
😅😅
