Jill was one of my biggest video game crushes and the fact she actually existed in real life made it even better. You'd betcha I was nervous and excited when I first met her. Let's hope Capcom rehires her for RE3 Remake!
@@Lyserg1260 I'm trying to understand your point. Are you saying that Jill was more attractive in RE 1 and RE3 as a polygonal model? Julia's face is the same one they used for, Umbrella Chronicles, RE5 and Revelations. According to Capcom, Julia is still the face of Jill Valentine. We'll see if they recast her or not for the RE3 Remake. Beauty is within the eye of the beholder. I believe Julia Voth is a very beautiful woman and I can tell she has a very beautiful soul from the 10 minutes I chatted with her; which in my opinion makes her more beautiful. She's 34 years old and looks better than most women in their 20's. If you don't think she's a beautiful woman then that's okay. Nice! Jill went into rehab shortly after the events of RE5, so she's been wasted ever since then. No way in hell it makes since for her to be sidelined for so long (let alone to still be in rehab as some people seem to think), but then again unlike some other characters, she has baggage that has to be addressed, instead of rehashing the same things constantly, and one off narratives that don't really develop a character. Bring on the CGI led by Jill, mainline title (no more females only leading side games BS or stuff stuck in the past), a manga, stage play, etc! She has something unique to bring to the table as a veteran protagonist, certain characters could stand to be benched for a good while.
To be fair no main character has really been in the main title spotlight for some time. Leon and Claire were in REmake 2, Rebecca was in Vendetta, Sherry was last seen in RE6, and Ada was also last seen in RE6. The only one that's gotten any spotlight is chris and it's not much tbh. The only character that could be realistically benched is Chris but again He hadn't had anything since RE6, a good 6 years before RE7 gave hime something. But I'll agree on Jill deserving it the most since Claire and Leon were last seen canonically in 2012 in RE6 for Leon and RER2 for Claire. Jill was last seen in RE5
@@revenge3265 I see it was removed, but I'll address it anyway, since ppl love to try to bring up Revelations as some counterpoint. Revelations is a prequel game. Chris was a playable character, and Jill had no focus as a character beyond being being lured into what was going on because of her concern for Chris. Fans demanded Jill to be playable after RE5 was dropped, and her intended bonus content (again BONUS content) was finally pushed through for development for release and instead became DLC a year later. She then had to share Revelations with three males, and Jill herself, again no real exploration or focus on her as a character. In the end, Jill was nothing more than a familiar face, looking for Chris (a tired thread for two so-called partners). Just like Claire in CV, except the only difference is that while Jill did NOT save Chris, he also didn't save her, he just assists her. That game is set BEFORE the events of RE5, and thus as I've said, Jill is still stuck in 2009...her last CANON timeline appearance. She is THE ONLY veteran character who has ABSOLUTELY no appearance beyond that timeframe. Chronologically speaking, Leon and Chris both need to be benched for a good while. Capcom showed their colors, and allowed them to lead everything during the "action" era. Every last female was sidelined or functioned more like some familiar face who supports them or another character. RE4- Ada had a bonus and SHORT campaign added to RE4 later, but nonetheless was just a side character, along with Ashley. RE6- same thing, bonus campaign after beating the three male leads stories. It was shorter than everyone elses, and it did not really explore her as a character, other than making it clear she doesn't do evil. Once again, her appearance was tethered to Leon, and making sure he made it out ok. Jill became a plot prop for Chris to even have a storyline. Wesker's hatred of her was completely overshadowed by them deciding to present it as if it was all about Chris vs Wesker, despite that fact Wesker did the worst to Jill, and it personal towards her only, and the fact Jill is the only reason Chris showed up and found Wesker. The fact they would have Jill be used in such a way, and not even allow her to utter a single word to Wesker, or have her presence and impact on his demise acknowledged, even by Wesker, will always be a disservice to the character. It's one thing to not let her even take aim at him, but to not have her acknowledged at all is not acceptable. She was the reason everything in RE5 was able to happen. Jill is the one used as a plot prop, having her life taken from her, lives being lost in the process, while Chris went on every mission, with the intention of trying to find her, it's him who got a built up reputation within the BSAA beyond being "legendary" because he was a founding member, and is why he gets to be treated as if he the most important individual within it, despite him literally not being able to get where he was without the sacrifices and efforts of others. It's completely repulsive to me, and Jill deserves better. Heck she's been given better treatment in the novelizations of games like Umbrella Chronicles. Jill only has a couple of years of active service with the BSAA to this day. Chris get's a mention EVERYTIME Jill is brought up or stars in a game (heck she gave him some depth in her diary in re3), but the same can not be said with Chris. Not even her influence in RE5 is acknowledged by him outside of RE5, and even then it wasn't much said. Leon was a main/major character of RE4 (2004 in timeline), Degeneration (2005), Damnation (2012), RE6 (2013 only for him, but he was fundamental in the creation of the DSO years before it took place) and Vendetta which ends up hitting in 2014 timeline wise. This doesn't include his major role in Darkside Chronicles (which added when he met Krauser in 2002, and led way to the creation of C-virus later on because of Manuela). Chris has literally been in almost everything since RE5. He was a lead character in RE5 (2009), Playable and active support char in Rev1 (2005), RE6 - which also includes a manga series that came out before and finished after the release of RE6. He was the excuse for why Claire would be around the Burtons in Rev2, additionally, the game also had a manga series Claire was featured in, set in 2014, and he appeared in that as well. He then was a lead in the Stage play, set in 2010. He also was chosen as the lead of Vendetta (2013-2014), and given a role in RE7 (2017), and it was important because it deals with Blue Umbrella. Him meeting with Leon was seen as a big thing, eventhough Leon, most likely, would've had to of met Chris when Jill was still around, and yet still they were calling Chris "the central figure of the BSAA." Claire, aside from her backseat role in Degeneration, was not playable, or involved in the story again until Revelations 2 dropped. Rev2 being a game she was a co-lead with Barry-- 15 years after Code Veronica hit. It kills me how Barry came back with an actual personal narrative and development, but Claire was given crap. Revelations 2 did absolutely nothing for her character, but at least she got to have a direct hand in finishing off the original Alex I guess is a plus. EVERYTHING else was non-canon and/or just another rehash of 1998, aside from the Heavenly Island manga. RE2make is no exception to this. Sherry was just a support character for Jake. She had no real focus, other than being there to ground Jake, and get him to do the right thing. Sheva was always there just to be a backup/support role for Chris, she was not a lead. Helena, same deal, her little relevance to Leon's story deminished greatly after her sister dies. Like I said, every female has essentially been relegated to support roles, lower budget side games (Revelations), and bonus missions (RE4, 5, 6 and 7). They have not led (truly) in the main series since RE3 (and what we got as RE3 as well as CV were really side games...heck Jill was the original lead of CV). Zero is a numbered game, but again it's a prequel, and true to form, Rebecca doesn't actually have any real focus. Billy, Birkin and Wesker were the ones with actual stories. It took about 20 yrs to see her even amount to something beyond the original game's events. The stage play mentioned her having been on field missions for the BSAA, but Vendetta says she had long left the field action alone since the Mansion incident, and again she just played a backseat role, and cemented herself as not being someone on the frontlines. RE7, brand new cast, same ol routine. Male character is the main lead AGAIN. He's in search of a loved one, he's aided by another character (female), he comes out on top, having saved his loved one (who really should be locked up, but wants to start over with him...). In terms of DLC, Zoe was literally just a damsel to be found and protected by her uncle, who had no presence in the main game in any way, who literally punches his way to victory. The scenario was originally conceived as an idea for a sequel. Zoe and Mia had little playable segments, but nothing substantial, and mostly for backstory in terms of canon, with Zoe's being only in dlc. Every CGI film so far has the same setup. A male character loses their wife/loved ones, plots revenge using a virus, or other means of creating/controlling bows (las plagas). Veteran male lead plays action hero role, veteran female gets literally one onscreen moment of actual action, they are used as a means of us being exposed to more of what the main villian is up to, and then allow some way for main male lead to escape or save the day. There's also always some male character who's "lost his way" or drinking as a form of "dealing" with their woes, and feeling like they've gotten nowhere. There's usually some friction between two of them as well. The stage play did this as well. It's tired and repetitive. I'm beyond ready to see something else with these films. Jill is the only main character who hasn't been in a cgi (not counting Barry as he was created as a support char), she is the only major character who has NOT had any action in the 2010s (and with series tradition RE8 would take place in the 2020s which begins next year), and again she actually has something to offer unique, as a character who went through what she did in RE5. If it is glossed over it would be a disservice, and there is far too much time that has passed, that they need to make up for. She has not been given any chance to interact with any relevant characters who weren't former STARS members, she's also the only one who hasn't interacted (officially) with other important characters. Frankly her getting her life back, living with what she was forced to do, what her sacrifices in RE3 and 5 allowed to happen, etc is why she deserves to come back strong. Even if they managed to screw up with her, like they've done with others, there's tons to work with.
@@slickricklj wasn't all the movies with a woman star lead? Checkmate. Stop with the crying. Women have been given great respect in the resident evil world.
The producers of the last film, said their eyes are set on Jill headlining the next film. They've essentially ran out of bad excuses for not using her, and know it. :P Leon wasn't even supposed to be in Vendetta, but the EP is a Leon fanboy. TBH I wouldn't be surprised if he finds some way to shove Leon into the next one. Although it would be nice to see Jill actually interact with him or any other character who isn't ex-STARS members, and you know...be integrated better with characters in the universe after more than two decades of time having passed.

Jill Valentine in the RE3 remake that came out this year brings back memories of playing Tomb Raider when I was a kid, especially in her classic outfit (a throwback to the original game). Of all the RE ladies you could pick to worship, apart from femme fatale Ada Wong of course, Jill is my first pick. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.
Jill Valentine joining the Raccoon City S.T.A.R.S. isn't really a downgrade. In fact, it is somewhat realistic. Many special operations soldiers who served in the military often join elite/specialized local police departments after they are discharged from the military. Some of them even join federal law enforcement agencies or private military companies.
So i found some things in a lot of resident evil games.... Chris getting lost Ending in a helicopter Weskers sunglasses Theres probably more but I'm too lazy to check
It's gotta be mind boggling to someone who's never play resident evil before, the sudden graphic decrease from re1 to re3 (re1 was remade and remastered several times)
Jill is half Japanese?? Was this retconned way after the original release or is this just another case of CAPCOM making Japanese characters appear 100% caucasian- Karin Zanzuki/Rainbow Mika/Ryu/Guy.
sooo, when dies re infinite darkness take place? cuz she says she was mind controlled by wesker in that (and it says re-id was in 2006? but she was with wesker from from 2006-9?)
I just realized that the corpses found by the media on 1998 would've eventually turned into zombies. I guess they were lucky(?) that the corpses were still dead. I mean, even if the corpses were beheaded by Umbrella, then they would've had the time to fully clean up their mess.
To anyone wanting a good audio book about the mansion incident look up on youtube 'the umbrella conspiracy audiobook'. It has alot of Jill pov and I really enjoyed it.
I want a game like 7 with someone helpless and weak fighting horrible creatures and a DLC with a badass character kicking ass like Jill or like they did with Chris

Him meeting with Leon was seen as a big thing, eventhough Leon, most likely, would've had to of met Chris when Jill was still around, and yet still they were calling Chris "the central figure of the BSAA."
Claire, aside from her backseat role in Degeneration, was not playable, or involved in the story again until Revelations 2 dropped.
@@slickricklj pretty much this, RE woman deserve better
@@slickricklj wasn't all the movies with a woman star lead? Checkmate. Stop with the crying. Women have been given great respect in the resident evil world.
The master of unlocking
Who else is upset that they replaced Julia Voth as the face model for Jill in this RE3 remake?
That legit ruined the entire remake for me. No Julia Voth, no buy
@@laracroftvideos didn't play RE1or RE3 i see
Ankita Nair are u?
Ankita Nair and on that note, merry christmas
Julia is old now get over it she can’t be Jill forever 🙄
They should at least give her a proper CGI movie like seriously? Leon has like 3 movies in a row now. i felt like they're missing JIll now
The producers of the last film, said their eyes are set on Jill headlining the next film. They've essentially ran out of bad excuses for not using her, and know it. :P
Leon wasn't even supposed to be in Vendetta, but the EP is a Leon fanboy. TBH I wouldn't be surprised if he finds some way to shove Leon into the next one. Although it would be nice to see Jill actually interact with him or any other character who isn't ex-STARS members, and you know...be integrated better with characters in the universe after more than two decades of time having passed.
@@slickricklj really? where can i see that article? I wanna read that. and that's a great news if so. and yeah that one just bugs me to the core my two most favorite character in resident evil still haven't met each other.
Jesse Heisenberg Capcom don't care about Leon and Jill meet so stop crying about that 🙄
@@sephorasamot2896 they most likely do care to try and make the two characters interact like @Jesse Heisenberg Leon and Jill are my favourites, however nobody’s crying about how the two haven’t met they’re just simply stating that it would be an interesting interaction
@@jesseheisenberg8854 I agree 🙂
I just wish jill will be resident evil 8
Of course Chris is in it AGAIN, why do they keep bringing such a boring character.
If he is interesting in RE8 I will eat my words
@@connorbates2756 lool
@@connorbates2756 he is not boring
Idk just make a chris and claire game add jill i cus I would like to see a trio like this and jill need sto meet claire
Subbed, this is great thank you I love resident evil also playing resident evil 3 never gets bored
So like can we talk about for like 5 mins how Jill took the time to bleach her hair for wesker when she was being mind controlled
Would like to see Jill in RE8! Maybe work together with leon, i don't think they've met. Or maybe together with Claire!
Well we now no Ethan’s back, but maybe if Chris is an antagonist Jill will be there to talk some sense into him. It’s a possibility.
My favorite character 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Loove this. All the love for my girl, Jill Valentine!🖤
*So did Wesker dye Jill's hair in RE5 or what* ? I always wondered that. I can't imagine Wesker taking Jill to some Salon😂
She was in a test tube the experiments change her hair and her skin
His kink lol
Thanks Marcus
Jill and Leon duo will be super sick too. also because they are using new engine both of them going to look so cool.
i would love to see Jill again, she was my first pick in the first RE game.
RE3 original, she looks so good
the rest is just normal, they screwed again
RE5 is the best
the rest are good but not better than re5
Sebastian S. Butrusian In re3 she looks like she’s missing facial features 😕😭
Great video 👍
Never realized she was the teams bomb disposal expert O.o
Jill Valentine in the RE3 remake that came out this year brings back memories of playing Tomb Raider when I was a kid, especially in her classic outfit (a throwback to the original game). Of all the RE ladies you could pick to worship, apart from femme fatale Ada Wong of course, Jill is my first pick. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.
Jill still is my favourite character in resident evils..I wish she come back again
Thank you !!
Jill Valentine is the most in demand and often appears in several Resident Evil series
I’ve never played any Resident Evil games nor am familiar with the story but Jill is such a badass I just might get RE3 Remake
Jill is my all time favourite re girl (and character as a hole), I love her so much- 😂💖
Great info!
Amazing!
What difference between
Good Jill Valentine (RE 1-RE5 Lost in Nightmares)
And
Evil Jill Valentine(RE5) ?
Jill Valentine joining the Raccoon City S.T.A.R.S. isn't really a downgrade. In fact, it is somewhat realistic. Many special operations soldiers who served in the military often join elite/specialized local police departments after they are discharged from the military. Some of them even join federal law enforcement agencies or private military companies.
The best character ever existed.... Ashley graham!!!!
my favorite RE character! 😍😍😍
Can you guys do a dead rising timeline?
So i found some things in a lot of resident evil games....
Chris getting lost
Ending in a helicopter
Weskers sunglasses
Theres probably more but I'm too lazy to check
Am I the only one that thinks Wesker needs his own game?
I really hope she's back soon...
Hopefully the next game will have her in it
Jill & Barry must be back in RE 8
The Jill sandwich joke is as good as Johnson making fun of master chief in halo for how many times he JUMPS
Blonde jill looks like fiona belli from haunting ground game 😍😍❤️❤️
It's gotta be mind boggling to someone who's never play resident evil before, the sudden graphic decrease from re1 to re3 (re1 was remade and remastered several times)
I love these. I’m want subscribed apologies. Corrected.
We want her back
Jill is half Japanese?? Was this retconned way after the original release or is this just another case of CAPCOM making Japanese characters appear 100% caucasian- Karin Zanzuki/Rainbow Mika/Ryu/Guy.
I'd like to see Jill and Ada Wong in the next Resident Evil.
sooo, when dies re infinite darkness take place? cuz she says she was mind controlled by wesker in that (and it says re-id was in 2006? but she was with wesker from from 2006-9?)
Jill and Claire need to happen with the same voice actors of the remakes
1:21 I thought Barry was the bomb expert
I can’t decide which version of Jill I like better. The CODE Veronica version of Claire is my favorite of her
I love Jill so much
I just realized that the corpses found by the media on 1998 would've eventually turned into zombies.
I guess they were lucky(?) that the corpses were still dead.
I mean, even if the corpses were beheaded by Umbrella, then they would've had the time to fully clean up their mess.
Jill Valentine...😍
yeah we should have a JILL VALENTINE & the Zombie game.
I thought it was Wesker interfering with that flight... not just Brad Being a coward
Re9 better be a flashback of a duo of jill and claire and then chris and leon in the other part of the story.
Chris, Jill. One Dynamic Duo. Leon, Claire. Another Dynamic Duo. Which duo is better?
Guess what, she's back
Sooooooo after Re3 remake if you watch this video u can get the whole story wrong or quite confusing
To anyone wanting a good audio book about the mansion incident look up on youtube 'the umbrella conspiracy audiobook'. It has alot of Jill pov and I really enjoyed it.
I never played the old re games....so was it a mistake to play re3 remastered without knowing about jill
Finally!
JILL❤️
It’s the Jill Sandwich Show
Staring the father, the son, and the holy Jill Valentine
"Like ny heart"
Same, bro
When was the month of Jill's birthday ever mentioned?
I want a game like 7 with someone helpless and weak fighting horrible creatures and a DLC with a badass character kicking ass like Jill or like they did with Chris
