I love the story but I suck at the games. I watch Leon's animated movies. And I beat 4 and 6 and Revelations 2. But I'm not that great. Better at Dead Space. But yeah, I love RE's story. And Leon as a hero.
I don't agree. The plots of 4, Revelations, 6, and Revelations 2 were almost entirely glossed over, no mention of End of Zoe, Desperate Escape, and only an offhand reference to Fourth Survivor, no mention of the Wesker project, getting who Lucas was in contact with wrong, repeatedly mispronouncing Sheva's name... I mean I know this video is only 20 minutes long but there's so many things not mentioned or explained. Just look how many comments say they're still confused.

Personally i enjoyed re6. Very versatile and the fact that u can chose to be the main or backup character makes it all the better for both guys and girls who want to play the opposite person
Absolutely agreed! My one and only complaint for RE6 is: no pause button!!! I'm looking forward to the Jake and Chris buddy CGI movie or game they greatly teased at the end of TWO campaigns from RE6... Oh Capcom, where are you? Hope you're reading fans are still waiting.
Yeah re6 was very enjoyable, just not what was really wanted after, what? 6 action games in a row? I think people in that time (for the most part) sick of action (which is why the next/second next game was another survival horror

The idea is that he's moving faster than the human eye can perceive, so all you can see is when he briefly pauses to change direction followed by another black blur when he takes off again. And even if it looked like teleportation in the RE5 campaign, in the Mercenaries mode you can run super-fast when playing as him, so it's not like there's a ton of room for doubt there.
This video is proof Chris Redfield put in the most work from all protagonist. Not only did he expose the chief and found the bsaa he was on a nonstop mission to destroy umbrella and hunt bow. Even in his 40s he defeated wesker. Chris has lots of haters and ita probably because while Leon is cool, he not as important as Chris.

The whole RE events in their entirety all happened due to Spencer having been inspired by the "ancient lady's" ideologies, though with a bigger magnitude and goal than simply resurrecting someone from the dead in a controlled environment. I still think both Edward Ashford and James Marcus would've still founded Umbrella, not under the same name or logo, but for the same purposes of viral research with Progenitor. Who knows what other types of an arms race they would've initiated with Progenitor itself without Spencer's goals of conquering the whole world.
At first I was really confused with the resident evil seven and didn’t like it, but once they release resident evil eight which is my fav re, everything became very clear. Resident evil seven basically obviously let up to resident evil eight, and I feel like resident evil eight which it did, basically explained how this happened.
Not really as they decided to destroy Raccoon City in order to clear out any potential incriminating evidence of their involvement with Umbrella's dealings in their BOW programs as this was also brought upon in RE6 where the president was supposed to reveal about the hidden truths behind Raccoon and the involvement that the US gov had at the time. Plus, after the events of RE2 (as mentioned in his RE3 epilogue and Darkside Chronicles Memories of a Lost City ending) they gave Leon an ultimatum with Sherry; either he had to work for them in exchange for Sherry's insured safety, or have him deal with repercussions for knowing too much about Sherry's condition and all about the Raccoon City Incident. So essentially, he was basically forced to work for the US gov in order to ensure Sherry's safety.
@@jonts7 Leon has the most potential, in my opinion. Chris is like too much of an Army guy after being a cop. Leon becomes an agent years after being a rookie on the first day of his zombie attacks kind of has a feel that stands out on it's own. We all know Chris, Jill, Leon and Claire are the most popular good guys in RE. Chris and Jill being in most of them, Leon is a like a special character on his own, stand out type. That's my thought on it, he just looks like a true movie star hero. Like Chris, he's the brash hard hot head type, Leon is the cool and calm type.
@@quentindiaz9418 I feel like Chris' PTSD and survivor's guilt has some of the best potential for storytelling but I'd be surprised if a main installment ever handles it well. Leon starting to develop the same problems has only been shown in a spin-off movie so far.

@@49Jacksonlrd the second one was my favorite of the two outbreak games, mainly because it was the one that I owned longer. The level with the Axeman was the best because of how he would just come out of nowhere and chase you around the level.
Man Resident Evil has been my favorite game series since I was a kid when the first one came out. Seeing how everything went together is amazing I knew a little but with how all the games went the whole plot is phenomenal. With Resident Evil 4 still being the best one it’s weird how it fits in.
Haha! That's just them trying to make them as real as possible with the current technology. Now the new models for Leon and Claire in the remake are actual CG actors instead of CGI faces from the past. I still wish they got Matt Mercer to voice Leon tho.

Police involment in Raccoon City incident, Lisa involment in G virus and Nemesis, details about Wesker's youth and his relationship with Birkin and Birkin's involment with his Upgrade, umbrella and U.S. political implications of Raccoon City incident, how Claire ended up on Veronika's Island and why Wesker was interest in project V and many more details that make timline "complete". This is a good video as "general timeline of RE games" but calling it "Complete timeline" is a bit too much

Digital CJ Gaming true about RE: Darkside Chronicles. However, I’m not sure about the manga. Cuz there are a lot of comics and maga about re, most of them are not considered to be canonical. Also they’d have to include re: gun survivor series and outbreak.

Probably because there were many games that were releases years apart. If you're not playing them back-to-back, it can be hard to keep track of all the information.

RE1-RE6 story narrative is consistent one after another. As for RE7, which was originally a reboot of the series, adopts a different plot that is unrelated to RE1-RE6's narrative plot entirely. The so-called Redfield in RE7 was originally Hunk before they decided to change him to Chris Redfield at the last minute. I personally believe the whole "Blue Umbrella", and Chris Redfield working for this new Umbrella was handled so poorly and inconsistent with the RE canon that it messed up the whole RE narrative entirely which is understandable why RE fans have a hard time keeping up with the RE storyline, especially due to the poor writing in RE7. This is why I didn't touch RE7. I played almost every RE game from RE1-RE6 including the two Revelations games cause they were RE games, unlike RE7 aka an Outlast game with a Texas Hillbilly Massacre atmosphere. The fact that most RE fans are ok with RE7 being part of the RE universe (due to its survival horror atmosphere) and happily accepting Redfield as authentic Chris Redfield now proves to me that you all know nothing about the RE storyline narrative much less Chris Redfield's character. It's no wonder gaming companies can half-ass their games nowadays for more profit with less effort because you drones will accept any poorly developed game as long as the game looks good. But a little bit got forgotten: in Code Veronica, Wesker gets the corpse of Steve Burnside which is his gate way to produce the T-Veronica Virus as well as leading to the Events of the last Chapter in Dark Chronicles were he sold the strain to Javier Hidalgo. That all kicks events in like Leons first meeting with Jack Krauser from RE4.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but the virus that scares me the most was the mold. All the other viruses you lose control and die some way, the the mold traps you in you mind and you’re aware of it the whole time.
Crimson Head zombies need a return to Resident Evil. Those creatures are scary as hell. They are a big part of what makes RE Remake so unique. The Umbrella saga of Resident Evil was the prime of the series even though I think RE4 is amazing and the Revelation games are pretty good to. But the events of RE0, RE1, RE2, RE3 and RECV was the golden age of Resident Evil, I'm so glad they are remaking a lot of these iconic titles with the RE Engine and an over the shoulder perspective.
It doesn't exist in the RE timeline. It's like it didn't happen. That's essentially what the recent Halloween movie sequel did. It ignored all of sequels that came after the original. They're there... but that don't matter.
This is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! The RE story is so bloody hard to follow, so this has help me get it a bit more. ❤ I love all REs - even the spin offs. I cant wait for Threemake, Revelations 3 and hopefully RE8
First RE game I legitimately played was RE7, and man was that amazing. Currently finishing all the campaigns in RE2 Remake, and so far it's even better. I was too young when the classic RE games came out, and so I wasn't interested in the story. But after watching this video and playing those 2 games, I hope they remake all the RE games in the future.

I think it was not so bad and the campaigns fit different tastes, what I liked most was the introduction of piers and Jake.
As I've always said, RE 6 is a fun game, just a terrible Resident Evil game.

@@jonts7 Leon has the most potential, in my opinion. Chris is like too much of an Army guy after being a cop. Leon becomes an agent years after being a rookie on the first day of his zombie attacks kind of has a feel that stands out on it's own. We all know Chris, Jill, Leon and Claire are the most popular good guys in RE. Chris and Jill being in most of them, Leon is a like a special character on his own, stand out type. That's my thought on it, he just looks like a true movie star hero. Like Chris, he's the brash hard hot head type, Leon is the cool and calm type.
@@quentindiaz9418 I feel like Chris' PTSD and survivor's guilt has some of the best potential for storytelling but I'd be surprised if a main installment ever handles it well. Leon starting to develop the same problems has only been shown in a spin-off movie so far.

After completing RE8, I finally realized that half of the apocalypse is all caused by a Beautiful woman who lost her daughter.
Man Resident Evil has been my favorite game series since I was a kid when the first one came out. Seeing how everything went together is amazing I knew a little but with how all the games went the whole plot is phenomenal. With Resident Evil 4 still being the best one it’s weird how it fits in.

I don't really understand why I keep hearing the story of RE is hard to follow. I've never had any problems keeping up with it.
A simple Google search of the proper order in playing the games would do. Unlike for series like Drakengard, Metal Gear Solid or Kingdom Hearts
Probably because there were many games that were releases years apart. If you're not playing them back-to-back, it can be hard to keep track of all the information.

RE1-RE6 story narrative is consistent one after another. As for RE7, which was originally a reboot of the series, adopts a different plot that is unrelated to RE1-RE6's narrative plot entirely. The so-called Redfield in RE7 was originally Hunk before they decided to change him to Chris Redfield at the last minute. I personally believe the whole "Blue Umbrella", and Chris Redfield working for this new Umbrella was handled so poorly and inconsistent with the RE canon that it messed up the whole RE narrative entirely which is understandable why RE fans have a hard time keeping up with the RE storyline, especially due to the poor writing in RE7. This is why I didn't touch RE7. I played almost every RE game from RE1-RE6 including the two Revelations games cause they were RE games, unlike RE7 aka an Outlast game with a Texas Hillbilly Massacre atmosphere.
The fact that most RE fans are ok with RE7 being part of the RE universe (due to its survival horror atmosphere) and happily accepting Redfield as authentic Chris Redfield now proves to me that you all know nothing about the RE storyline narrative much less Chris Redfield's character. It's no wonder gaming companies can half-ass their games nowadays for more profit with less effort because you drones will accept any poorly developed game as long as the game looks good. Such tragedy.

Very, very good Video! But a little bit got forgotten: in Code Veronica, Wesker gets the corpse of Steve Burnside which is his gate way to produce the T-Veronica Virus as well as leading to the Events of the last Chapter in Dark Chronicles were he sold the strain to Javier Hidalgo.
That all kicks events in like Leons first meeting with Jack Krauser from RE4.
Problem is The Chronicles games are VERY inconsequential to the main RE universe.

You never mentioned how by 2003, HUNK had become a legendary mercenary and solider for being one of only 4 people known to have survived Raccoon City.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but the virus that scares me the most was the mold. All the other viruses you lose control and die some way, the the mold traps you in you mind and you’re aware of it the whole time.
Crimson Head zombies need a return to Resident Evil. Those creatures are scary as hell. They are a big part of what makes RE Remake so unique. The Umbrella saga of Resident Evil was the prime of the series even though I think RE4 is amazing and the Revelation games are pretty good to. But the events of RE0, RE1, RE2, RE3 and RECV was the golden age of Resident Evil, I'm so glad they are remaking a lot of these iconic titles with the RE Engine and an over the shoulder perspective.
I hope the RE2make has Crimson Heads again. I mean they are part of the evolution from Zomvie to Licker.

First RE game I legitimately played was RE7, and man was that amazing. Currently finishing all the campaigns in RE2 Remake, and so far it's even better. I was too young when the classic RE games came out, and so I wasn't interested in the story. But after watching this video and playing those 2 games, I hope they remake all the RE games in the future.
