Specifically, we are covering the 3d GTA universe, which consists of Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, GTA Vice City Stories, Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

I think it implied that Sweet is fighting off the gangs while CJ is doing the job.
Maybe sweet was more intent on killing tenpenny more than big smoke. I mean he must have had more regret than CJ for going after and meaning to kill him like CJ did

The GTA 3D universe is just one lone story of corruption and betrayals.
Not really. It also teaches some good life lessons. Vice City teaches you to work towards your dreams and never stop, and San Andreas teaches you the importance of family and to appreciate where you come from.

San Andreas was the pinnacle, as they condensed the west coast down to 5 minute drives that usually take 10 hours to go between LA, SF and Vegas. Being able to climb the Luxor building by walking up to the top and looking down on the 3D version of Vegas was one of those things you'd never imagine. It would've been even more epic if they had the Stratosphere. Oh well, you can't have everything, so we settle for their U.S. bank tower in their LA and the TransAmerica building in their SF.
I was looking forward to seeing Claude's cameo in San Andreas get mentioned. Same with the two stoners that worked at CJ's garage. They were the marina guys from Vice City.

Well done! My fave will always be GTA3. After playing it I immediately went out and purchased a PS2. Way too many hours spent exploring Liberty City. Groundbreaking game frankly. They’ve never touched on how dark that game was atmospherically again imo, which sets it apart in addition to it being the first 3D game.
That games tone cannot be matched.
It deserves a true remake on their latest engine.
I find myself still going back to Watch Dogs 1 for the same reason, settings in dark, dank cities like New York and Chicago are just too good.
Victor Vance (Vice City Stories)
will always be my fav GTA character
Yes he's not a MC in the GTA series, but his funny scenes with his lil brother Lance, always make me laugh.
GTA SA was so ahead of its time it’s incredible. If it came out today it would still be ahead of its time. It’s such a good game and so in depth.

If you want footage of CJ in liberty city, there is a prologue video that came with the original soundtrack. You can find it on youtube, it shows what takes place right before San Andres. Apparently the liberty city mission was actually more than one which was supposed to involve a safe house and a small war with the mafia but they ran out of time.

Yeah basically you just need to switch position between III (released first, chronologically the last) and VCS (released last, chronologically the first)

@@lordeddy05 i own a gaming pc and played and beat all the gtas on it including most of the gtas on all systems and i can say that i would choose vice city stories even if its on console over any other gta on pc even gta 6 if it ever comes out. vice city stories had the most beautiful skies at night. purple mixed with yellow and orange and sometimes pink and blue and yellow.
The amount of character crossovers from each installment, always had me hooked playing the whole 3D Universe's catalogue.

I didn’t grow up playing GTA due to having strict parents. I bought GTA V on my PS5 this past year and I loved every second of it. The HD universe had the best most complicated connexion out there, I'm not talking about GTA V, I'm talking about GTA IV, TLAD & TBOGT, Niko killed Johnny's friend Jason, and Johnny kidnapped Niko's cousin Roman, Niko robbed a bank in the same day Luis was trying to get a loan for Tony, Luis' nightclub has Roman and Brucie as registered members and many more

As someone who never played it when it came out but got around to playing it recently, I can say that it was horribly underrated and needs more attention.
It sucks that it can't because getting a hold of it isn't as easy nowadays.

I love this video. Every few years i play san andreas (because its the best game ever) "in my opinion". The stories give me such nostalgic so thank you for this video.

You know what’s crazy? Catalina and Claude were together for 9 years before she betrayed him and he killed her. I never thought of that before. Also, what was Claude doing for all that time? I guess Catalina calls him “small time” so he was probably just doing odd jobs before the events of GTA III in 2001. For some reason, while I already knew that, it was in my head that GTA III happened right after Catalina “left” CJ for Claude in San Andreas.
