I’m a certified operating room nurse and certified holistic nurse. I am certified in both because I believe everyone should be able to take care of their health naturally first and use modern technology to assist in your health when absolutely needed. Unfortunately, everything is treated with a medication or procedure first in healthcare. Every complaint presented by the patient at the doctor’s office is followed by a prescription. Top 4 to do for healthy lifestyle: Get rid of sugar, processed carbs, seed oils, and make sure you exercise! Your information is always the best! Thank you!

Yes! It took years for me to train my taste buds to want healthy food. Now, I cannot stand to have "dead" food in my mouth, like pasta, canned vegetables, French fries, etc. Cutting down sugar 90% has really evened out my blood sugar, decreased inflammation and I have less zits! Lol. And I lost 15 lbs.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 🚨 *Seed oil, not sugar or trans fats, is identified as the #1 worst food for heart health.*
02:25 🧪 *Seed oil contributes to the modification of LDL cholesterol, leading to arterial damage and plaque formation.*
04:35 🍲 *Seed oil, often labeled as vegetable oil, is highly inflammatory due to its susceptibility to oxidation during processing.*
06:09 📚 *Studies supporting the heart health benefits of unsaturated oils are critiqued for flaws, lack of randomization, and confounding variables.*
08:50 🤯 *Omega-6 fatty acids, prevalent in seed oils, compete with omega-3, emphasizing the need to reduce seed oils and increase omega-3 intake.*
10:38 🔄 *The shift from saturated fats to seed oils was a mistaken health move, leading to widespread consumption and health issues; awareness and label reading are crucial.*

Seed oils are easy to avoid when cooking at home.. but incredibly hard to avoid when eating at restaurants. I'm at the point now where I will call a restaurant ahead of time and make sure they have meals that don't have seed oils and/or can at least substitute them out for Olive oil or butter. From the 50+ restaurants I've called, I'd say about 95% of them use seed oils (insane). Canola and Sunflower oils are the two most commonly used here in Vancouver.
The good news is that most restaurants usually have a few dishes where they can make them seed oil-free.. typically the "main course" simple-ingredient meals like steaks, roasted chicken, and baked salmon/fish dishes. Just make it clear that you want to swap out the canola/sunflower oils for Olive oil or Butter.

There are a few types of oils that are fine for some people to consume in small amounts every now and then, as long as they’re cold-pressed and organic. Flax oil is very estrogenic and may only be beneficial for females who are lacking estrogen and need a small boost over a short period of time.
      These oils include:
      • Safflower oil
      • Sunflower oil
      • Flax oil
      • Sesame seed oil (and tahini)
      • Nut oils

Totally agree with seed oils. And if you really want potato chips you can get them made with coconut oil, avocado oil or olive oil. However, you still need to be really careful because trans fats are still out there. I try not to eat out but sometimes I can't avoid it. I had to go to a meeting for work at Olive Garden and 95% of their items still have trans fats. I was shocked ( I did research ahead of time trying to figure out what I could eat which was basically either steak and broccoli or salmon and broccoli and soup).
Also, you can buy mayo without seed oils. I look for avocado mayo. Another easy way is to make it yourself.
