Triglycerides went from 242 down to 52. Whole foods diet Mediterranean, no highly processed highly palatable foods or fast foods and 4x a week in the gym @ over 2 hours per workout resistance training 💪 347lbs down to 210lbs in less than a year and kept it off for almost 2 years. 6'2 60yo. And I do eat some carbs, complex mostly, even some sugar in the form of wild blueberries and honey but not enough to overload my liver. Went from being on oxygen, a slew of meds and hardly able to walk to no meds, no medical problems and jacked. Training right now to be a personal trainer, take my final exam in less than a week. Consistency, determination, discipline and an absolute will to succeed. I also take a lot of the supplements mentioned in particular nattokinase and K2-D3 along with a lot of others but I feel that those 3 really work overtime for arterial health. It's your life, you don't have to accept that you're unhealthy and unhappy and just lay down and die just because our society, medical community, government says that's what you have to do. Take your life back

Hey Dr. Berg. I had a heart attack back in October and I'm 35. Your videos, especially the ones that are cardiovascular related are really insightful and has been helpful to me in my heart recovery journey. I have yet known factually if following your tips has improved my heart's condition but I can assure you that I do feel great 5 months after my heart attack. I've lost approximately 57 lbs in 5 months through intermittent fasting and quit most of the things that you've warned against in your videos. I am thankful to God for giving me another shot at life and I am also thankful to you for sharing these information that will improve the quality of my life.

    Dr Berg notes:
Plaque is made of cholesterol, calcium, and protein. These 3 ingredients form a band-aid if you have inflammation or other issues on the inside of your artery.
There are 2 types of plaque: soft plaque (unstable, dangerous) and hard plaque (calcified, stable, less dangerous). Soft plaque is 4 times as common as calcified plaque!
A CAC test gives you a score of how much plaque you have in your arteries. This test primarily detects calcified plaque, so the score usually won’t reflect soft plaque
The CAC paradox is a phenomenon that occurs after you clean up your diet and get healthy, but your CAC score rises. This doesn't mean your plaque is getting worse. It means that some of your soft plaque has stabilized and become hard plaque.
Soft plaque is associated with glycation and more oxidation of the LDL. There are 2 types of LDL: small-dense pathogenic LDL and large-buoyant non-pathogenic LDL.
Myeloperoxidase and Lp-PLA2 both signify soft plaque on a blood test. An ultrasound can also detect soft plaque.
Higher HDL can help clean up pathogenic bad LDL. You also want to keep your triglycerides low. High triglycerides can signify that your diet is too high in carbs. You may want to request to test your lipoprotein insulin resistance. This factor is associated with cardiovascular atherosclerosis more than any other.
Here’s how to determine whether you have small dense LDL or large buoyant LDL. Divide the LDL by ApoB-the part of the lipoprotein that indicates the number of particles. You want your result to be greater than 1.2. This indicates large buoyant LDL.
The following nutrients may help remove arterial plaque buildup naturally:
    1. Pycnogenol-150 mg
    2. Gotu Kola-450 mg
    3. Vitamin K2-Life Extension Mega K2
    4. Nattokinase
    5. Niacin
Vitamin K2 is the most potent inhibitor of vascular calcification. Tocotrienols, berberine, aged garlic, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin D also help to clean out plaque naturally.
    Thank you Dr.Berg 🐱👍

I started watching Dr. Berg’s videos and started taking Niacin and Vitamin K2 my Cholesterol went down tremendously and my cardiologist and my cardiac rehabilitation coaches couldn’t believe it and asked me how I did it. When I told them about Dr. Berg’s videos I got so much backlash from it so I stopped what I was doing. Now I just got out of the hospital and was given more medication and I hate it. Dr. Berg quite literally saved my life. I'm 6'5", was 310lbs, and was starting to experience chest pains on a consistent basis. On my 36th birthday at 2am I woke up drenched in sweat and felt like I was about to die right then and there. The pain subsided and I went straight online to search for natural remedies. That day I stopped eating all processed foods, I started eating raw garlic, chi seeds, ground flax, turmeric, fish oil, green tea, only fish and chicken, free range eggs from our farm, etc. etc. Went back to the doctor yesterday and my blood pressure is normal and I'm feeling great with zero chest pains or heaviness. I'm down to 279lbs right now doing only cardio and I'm feeling the best I"ve felt in years. Goal is 250lbs right now :) Thank you Dr. Berg!!!
EDIT: Down to 252lbs now and feeling great! Cholesterol was just checked and is 140. Still doing the same routine however, I've increased my food intake to stop decrease weight loss as I only want to lose 2 more lbs. Thanks all

Your clarity and lack of "mumbo jumbo" is second to none Eric. Here in England, if I went to my National Health Service gp (md) & requested a CAC, or Coronary Angiogram BEFORE having "an event" the doctor would practically laugh in my face! • @scottstedeford7575
      @scottstedeford7575 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

@@DK-pr9ny LDL is essential in all forms - obviously oxidized anything is bad. Each type of cholesterol in useable form does an essential function in the body. For example, VLDL (very low density lipoprotein) carries triglycerides from the liver into cells. Neither VLDL nor triglycerides are a problem in form, they are a problem only in level of presence in the blood. Your body needs some level of triglycerides. So it also needs VLDL in order for the body to make use of them. It becomes a problem only if the level of triglycerides tips over the line of what is essential, which then by necessity will call up more VLDL production. Again, the emphasis is strictly on LEVEL and ACCUMULATION, not at all on type, of cholesterol.

I'm interested in this. I already take most of them. I take K2 100 mcg 3 times a day with the D3.. I won't take niacin because the flush was so bad I thought I was going to die. I take some nattokinase but you don't say how much. I take all the others except for Pycogenol and Gotukola. My 3 sisters all have stents. I don't want that problem. My baby sister's arteries are blocked. She's down to 90 lbs and keeps needing blocked artery surgeries. She's 65 and I'm 72. Two other sisters are older than me. One needs blocked artery surgery to the legs and so far her lung doctor won't approve the surgery. My sisters all smoked and two were heavy drinkers. Any answers Dr Berg?

The thing that many doctors are not aware of is that statins raise your calcium score. So patient are on chronic statin therapy who undergo CAC scoring will get in accurate results. your illustration suggest that as the calcified plaque becomes more stabilized and dense that the degree of stenosis goes down so your calcium score goes up, but the degree of stenosis goes down? Is that what you were saying?

Combine that with Vitamin C protected by Grape Seed Extract to restore elasticity to arteries and optimize capillaries. I've had hereditary high cholesterol most of my life. Currently, I am at 258 total, so my doctor orders an angiogram test every year. I take red rice yeast and magnesium daily, and I have literally no plaque build-up in my arteries. My doctor said he would usually put a patient with 258 total cholesterol on statins, but since I had no other issues like pre-diabetes or high blood pressure, and little to no plaque in my arteries I didn't need any.
He suggested I take red rice yeast years ago, and I started magnesium (all 3 types) last year. I weigh 210 lbs at 6ft tall and am in decent shape for a 52 year old. I eat well, cook for myself with all organic ingredients, do not drink often. This is totally hereditary.

Just whatever you do, be very careful taking vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 in high doses. I took D3 30,000 I use 3 to 5 times a week for about a year and a half. Felt great. Then I stopped to give myself a break, and started taking K2 MK7 for 10 days. Developed shortness of breath, heart competitions, light-headedness. Still dealing with it 3 weeks later. I think I depleted a lot of my magnesium. Either way, magnesium is helping to mitigate the symptoms.
But be very very careful and get your levels checked before you start randomly supplementing like I did. Do the research on the right kinds of tests also.

I thought Mk-7 was what we needed to reduce plaque. It’s confusing.

I'm NOT a fan of Life Extension products as they contain alot of "stuff" that is very toxic to the body, but they present themselves as a reputable company for all natural products.....I don't know why he's suggesting them..

I like to take Niacin at bedtime. That way I sleep through the flush. It significantly drops my blood pressure as well which makes me dizzy and I'd rather not be conscious while it's doing its work.

Dear Dr. Berg, according to my recent studies, the plaques in the blood vessels have behavioral similarity like that of the cholesterol.. It is made by the body according to the requirements of the blood vessels..
I am not conclusive about this, but my work still continues...

Dr. Berg. Another excellent and informative video. Thank you very much. Question, you mentioned K2 dosage in mg, not mcg. How much are you recommending? 1mg? Also is the MK-7 form still the best? Thank you
