If you spoke to her, I bet she would sound like the most caring, empathetic, and compassionate individual you ever spoke to. She would convince you that torturing monkeys and driving them insane is the only way we can gain insight into treating human mental illness. Sociopaths are like that.
She should be tested for mental illness. A person who would have the heart to intentionally torture animals would have no problem in torturing human beings. Im not spreading any hate, im just saying.

Because scientists, unfortunately, are able to separate their emotions from what fascinates them scientifically. It's what allowed the scientists to develop the atomic bomb despite knowing it would kill hundreds of thousands of people horribly. It's what allowed Japanese scientists in World War II to infect thousands of children in China with cholera to track the spread of the disease (yes, the Japanese did that, without accountability, because we gave their scientists immunity and jobs at the end of World War II. Yes, we did that). It's what allowed Nazi scientists to experiment on human beings including children with impunity.
And it's what allows American scientists to torture animals with no sense of empathy to their pain or suffering.
Look up the Tuskagee Experiment. Doctors deliberately withheld penicillin from black people suffering with syphilis, until they died so they could dissect them, so they could see what the disease did to the human body. The doctor who headed this evil program had no sense of guilt about it, and was never held accountable for the many hideous deaths he caused. In one letter he actually wrote that he was looking forward to the "rich harvest" of dead black people so he could dissect them and discover the pathology of what syphilis does to untreated victims of syphilis.
Our government knew about this, and did not shut it down. This is detailed in an extremely painful documentary called "Bad Blood". The outrage is that this evil program was not shut down earlier and the American doctors not imprisoned for their inhuman (but government sanctioned) actions.
So yes, the evil is right here, in America.

People of substance speak out against atrocities which is commendable and a great help. This woman appears to be a psychopath who enjoys hurting other beings for no reason at all. These experiments are useless not to mention the tax payers money spent on them. My 23 year old daughter and her fiance had mental illness and decided they couldn't fix it. So in Jan 2013 they killed themselves. Please stop the bullshit. How do you how they feel.? So many people complaining about harsh environment and cruelty. There are other ways of testing thing more humane way but guys you have to understand testing on animals is of one the best (in terms of results) and most cost effective way research. I worked in this kind of research center for 5 years and I can tell every human working inside is psychologically healthy. When you know something that you researching helps humanity and prevent future diseases you do it with pleasure as it your duty. Also scientist having significantly higher IQ points than average population they much much better understand what is good and what is bad. I wanted to ask those compassionate people do not rely solely on emotions when it comes to science and think about future logically. You simply can not treat ethically when it comes to drug research because you need to kill on a daily basis to get results. Scientist have to work best results not for good ethics and wasting money. Please stop that demagogy with ethics because they are already doing one of most ethical work.

@@kimbu9029 What you fail to grasp is that even the 10% of experiments on primates that do achieve some valid result are absolutely unnecessary because they do not promote any cure for humans. Instead they are used to push drugs that do more harm than good and which effects are not possible to fully determine until at keast a decade after they are marketed and prescribed to zombies (typically in the US and western countries). You can observe primates in the wild and realise monkeys need bonding with their own species to live fulfilling lives. To lock them up (sometimes from the day they are born) in a dark metal cage with zero stimulation is pure sadism and it does in any way not reflect the reality of 99.999% of humans so why do it? Oh of course they do it because pseudoscience demands it to justify their 6 digit annual pay packages and big pharma makes its trillions by misleading zombified people like yourself.
Do you have any peer-reviewed academic journal supporting your claim of "testing on animals is of one the best (in terms of results) and most cost effective way research"? I, among many other people who are disgusted by this practice, would like to read it. Plus, there literally are scientific communities striving for a less cruel outlook of experimentation that includes less/no cruelty. Do those scientists, in your words, "have lower IQ points"?

I'm not opposed to certain types of animal experimentation: we wouldn't have many medicines without them, unfortunately. But this is just sadistic.

Well this are bullshit experiments. But don't generalize, I am a biologist in Europe, and I have participated in experiments that have used animals. They we're never this cruel or cruel at all for that matter. Always reviewed by the Bioethical Comittee and for an actual important cause, such as combating, in my case, Lung cancer. I don't know what the NIH does over there in américa, but this is not the norm at all
Since you have a Spanish sounding name let me remind you that the norm in Spain and other Spanish speaking countries is to poke (with metal hooks) and knife stab bulls until they bleed to death after hours sometimes even days of terrible suffering (often they are left to die from thirst intentionally as they are in their injured state) in the arenas and idiotic 'festas' so I can imagine the state of lab animals in pseudoscience experiments isn't much better than it is in North America.

To think that monkeys who shate 97.5% of human DNA will produce much more accurate results than a bug or a tomato is a lie because it is not the amount of shared DNA, instead it is the sequence which counts.
Monkeys are social and highly sensitive. They are closest to us no doubt which is why it is absolutely unnecessary to drill into their skulls, inject them with toxins, break their bones and isolate them in dark cold metal cages in order to 'discover' they become hopelessly neurotic, sad and sick. And in the name of what? In the name of producing more drugs for the most zombified nation on earth with the only goal of enriching big pharma companies.
