Actually I heard that in Poland it's become tradition for cartoons to be dubbed by s single person trying to sound as bored as possible. There was one time where a cartoon got a really high quality dub and people complained about missing the boring man.
Polish guy here - false. Some very old cartoons had a single voice, yes, but even then it was framed as "narration" of what was going on screen, nobody pretended like the characters all happened to have the same voice. And again, that was many decades ago. We had other stuff to focus our A-game on back then.

Actually I heard that in Poland it's become tradition for cartoons to be dubbed by s single person trying to sound as bored as possible. There was one time where a cartoon got a really high quality dub and people complained about missing the boring man.
Polish guy here - false. Some very old cartoons had a single voice, yes, but even then it was framed as "narration" of what was going on screen, nobody pretended like the characters all happened to have the same voice. And again, that was many decades ago. We had other stuff to focus our A-game on back then.
Reminds me of the Sonic Adventure Russian dub... that guy had to read EVERY line and he sounded so bored.
Entertaiment for children is pretty important. Their developing minds need the best of the best.
