Allow me to give a history of this "game" because trust me it is crazy. So in 1992 a company called Dingo Pictures (originally Media Concept) was founded in Germany and they produced various cartoons doing crappy redraws of Disney or Don Bluth characters. They made multiple films many of which had sort of English dubs done by their crew which are awkward and goofy. You may remember their other work from their movie "Dinosaurs" which the Italian dub spawned the "Yee" meme. These films had a vaguely connected universe mostly because Dingo were lazy and would not only reuse characters but also their names from film to film. Animal Soccer World was in a sense their big cross over movie and was vaguely based on the soccer scene from Bed knobs and Broomsticks. These movies were all mostly released in Europe with US ones mostly being in dollar stores or other bargain bin stuff. They also are well known for having some rather inappropriate lines for a kids film like "what the hell is going on here" and "I can't find my damn hair brush". Oh and in their film Janis the Little Piglet they showed a pig chopped up into food. Some time in the early 2000s they found another way to get these films out was by partnering with Midas Interactive and Phoenix Games who slapped these films onto game disks (and later cards in the case of the DS releases) in order to sell them in stores in order to make a quick buck. They would also randomly slap numbers on these movies leading to 2 "Lion and the King" films which are the same movie and their 2 Dalmatians movies being released twice each. Animal Soccer World was a unique one though as it didn't have the "regular" Dingo English cast but instead was done by a currently unknown group and are often referred to as the "East West dubs" because they appear on a lot of DVD releases from the company East West. These dubs were even lazier than the original as they would simply play the movie while a few people who barely understood English and tried to vaguely say the lines in somewhere around the right time. The other films that got this treatment were there Wabbu movie (Wabbu is a rip off of Miko from Pocahontas) and their longest film "Alladin" (their rip off Aladdin movie). They also are extra lazy by playing a little music loop over the entire movie and leaving the original film audio in there (minus voices except for when they are lazy) as editing the audio was a no go. They would just do it in one long take and leave in obvious repeated lines as if they were ever going to edit them. Animal Soccer World is the only game release of one of these dubs making it the one people have seen the most as the others are rather rare. And that is a brief history of the Dingo Pictures rabbit hole. If you read this far thank you for indulging my encyclopedic knowledge of this nonsense.

I just want to say two things... First, I love that Arin did the mini games and kinda took them seriously. It was the perfect build up. Second, that fucking goat at the beginning man, omg it's so funny hahaha
I like how the suspensful music track always runs in the background, even when there's other music playing. It's a metaphor for life to always be on guard, even if there are happy things happening.
Penguinz0 did a MST3K style commentary on this 8 years ago. It's his video called "The Worst Cut Scene Ever Created". Watched it years ago and how I was introduced to this "game". It's a hoot!
Man, this is a WHOLE lot to try & ingest in one go... sitting in an airport, trying to not look crazy by going from faces of utter confusion to using every ounce of self control to not absolutely bust out laughing.
Oh god, the grumps have discovered the hilarious horror that is the company Pheonix Games. Have mercy on them. And grumps, if you think this is it, this is only the beginning. A couple "recommendations": - Pheonix Games Peter Pan - Phoenix Games Dalmatians 3 - Pheonix Games Pinnochio And who could forget - Snow White and the Seven Clever Boys (Yes, I'm serious).
Also probably like a lot of people, I found out about this company and these...."games", from a youtube by the name of Caddicarus. Who if you haven't heard of, I highly recommend his channel. Dude puts a lot of effort into his content, especially with his newer videos.
Well that's funny because there is "Silent Hill 4: The Room". In fact, I heard of that before the movie. But is this even a game? There's a few minigames and activities, but that barely counts. The main dish is just a video you watch. That's not a game at all. XD
Chris: "The Room" is a movie. A supremely terrible movie that is so bad that it is good. An all-timer, actually. You're thinking of the game I already mentioned. "Silent Hill 4: The Room".
YES. Finally two of my favorite things come together: horrible movies by Dingo Pictures and the quality content of Game Grumps. The circle closes. I've found peace.
I have feverish memories of this work of art since it was played on a 24/7 loop without sound at my local shoe store which I my parents took me to when I was young. I remember a pulk of ~10 kids starring at a TV screen, no one understanding what was happening in the slightest.
@@denis-florian_0.57 if you want to get technical, it's _association_ football, called so to differentiate between it and _rugby_ football. The word "soccer" comes from an Oxford shortening of the word "association". The word is as properly English as English can get. Both "soccer" and "football" are perfectly acceptable terms, but the former is arguably better when there's a possibility of confusion with another sport, like the much more popular (in the U.S. and Canada) gridiron football, which is why the term is used more in countries where that is the case (or where the U.S. has had a strong influence, like Japan).
The duck making an ambulance noise followed by the injured player bouncing up and down violently on the stretcher killed me. This entire thing was hilarious.
I remember Saberspark talking about dingo pictures and outright demanding no one watch it because it's literally torture, but this is low-key hilarious, at least with the Grump's commentary over it
In fairness, the mere concept of a duck/goose/whateverthefuck being its own ambulance siren was enough to put me in stitches. Arin simply cemented its hilarity for me!
Danny: "Why are some people hundreds of feet from the microphone and others are _inside_ the microphone?" That's an incredibly good question, Danny. There is no answer.
By the way, I wanna make it very clear to the US public that this movie would play on a loop at H&M stores in the 2000s in Germany for kids so that the parents could shop in peace. Fucking insane to think about the fact that I grew up with this shit.
@@Lilliathi im pretty sure that the company itself wasn’t responsible for the voice overs, in the H&M stores the audio would be German. I saw a video about this company once where I think they say it’s an Italian animation studio, or it used to be, so they were probably responsible for making this for a European audience, not just a German one
@@Lilliathi so I did some research and the publishing company was actually from the Netherlands themselves! I heard "Grommel" but who knows at this point?
"This is like early Godzilla levels of dubbing."
That is an insult to early Godzilla dubbing. At least early Godzilla dubs had more than one voice actor, even if all of them were terrible.
I made the mistake of falling asleep as this came up in a compilation, and had a dream that there was a man talking to himself for an hour in weird sock puppet voices while Arin and Dan laughed at him and I was like “wow that’s so mean to laugh at ppl with cognitive issues” and then I woke up and laughed my butt off at “can’t you play soccer you dumb-“
Oh that sounds amazing-
it's the fucking fade out💀😹😹
(28:16 btw)
It really reminds me of "thank god fish aren't into cash" dream of Dan's 😅
This was the best comment here
What makes it hilarious to me is that I can only imagine him saying “bitch” if it hadn’t faded out
I just want to say two things...
A new series where they just watch weird budget animations like this would be a joy.
MST3K style.

I feel like this is the gaming equivalent of 'The Room.'
No, you see, "The Room" had effort.
@@SporkSlayer At least this guy took effort into voicing ALL of the characters haha
Well that's funny because there is "Silent Hill 4: The Room". In fact, I heard of that before the movie.
But is this even a game? There's a few minigames and activities, but that barely counts. The main dish is just a video you watch. That's not a game at all. XD
The room is a game
Chris: "The Room" is a movie. A supremely terrible movie that is so bad that it is good. An all-timer, actually.
You're thinking of the game I already mentioned. "Silent Hill 4: The Room".
Dan: Do you know what this reminds me of? Do you remember the Berenstein Bears-

Truly the crossover event we deserve
I love everything about this
Now they have to watch Simba at the Olympics
I have feverish memories of this work of art since it was played on a 24/7 loop without sound at my local shoe store which I my parents took me to when I was young. I remember a pulk of ~10 kids starring at a TV screen, no one understanding what was happening in the slightest.
At a _shoe_ store?!
Where was this shoe store?
Was this in Germany?? Cause dingo pictures is German!
Indeed it was in Germany
We also had this playing 24/7 at the H&M's in Sweden when I was a kid. I had no idea it was a videogame lol

It's not soccer, it's football
@@denis-florian_0.57 if you want to get technical, it's _association_ football, called so to differentiate between it and _rugby_ football. The word "soccer" comes from an Oxford shortening of the word "association". The word is as properly English as English can get. Both "soccer" and "football" are perfectly acceptable terms, but the former is arguably better when there's a possibility of confusion with another sport, like the much more popular (in the U.S. and Canada) gridiron football, which is why the term is used more in countries where that is the case (or where the U.S. has had a strong influence, like Japan).

As hilarious as this was for us, what Arin did to Dan by forcing him to see this is actually classified as a war crime.
Arin's sudden hysterical laughter at 6:58 had me HOLLERING
seriously, i have never heard him laugh that hard
In fairness, the mere concept of a duck/goose/whateverthefuck being its own ambulance siren was enough to put me in stitches. Arin simply cemented its hilarity for me!

By the way, I wanna make it very clear to the US public that this movie would play on a loop at H&M stores in the 2000s in Germany for kids so that the parents could shop in peace. Fucking insane to think about the fact that I grew up with this shit.
But why the Dutch accents in a German animation?
@@Lilliathi im pretty sure that the company itself wasn’t responsible for the voice overs, in the H&M stores the audio would be German. I saw a video about this company once where I think they say it’s an Italian animation studio, or it used to be, so they were probably responsible for making this for a European audience, not just a German one
@@NiksoSick
Germans are pretty terrible at English, so I guess they hired some dudes from the Netherlands to translate and dub it?
@@Lilliathi so I did some research and the publishing company was actually from the Netherlands themselves! I’m guessing the staff who programmed and drew the Art just also voiced the characters to save money, hence why the VA is so bad. So no germans were actually involved in making this movie/game as far as I was able to dig up.
