I messed up, A common laser mistake. Aeon Mira 9s Redline

Mistakes were made that ruined this project, I forgot to turn on the air assist which stops a build up of debris on the nozzle of the laser the build up blocks the laser path creating the lines you see in the end piece.
I am still sharing this to remind everyone that life isn't perfect and we can learn from our mistakes.

Although you said you messed up,but I disagree with that,Moray You did awesome with engraving that wonderful tree of life on the mirror and framing it.And you will soon get hold of the recording the ongoing projects and making them too at the same time.

Hi, thanks for sharing. One mistake I made was to not check the focal length before engraving. I have a laser engraver that you have to set the focal length manually. I messed up a few materials before realizing that was the problem. 😅🤦‍♀️

It looks like an older, probably well loved, heirloom with the lines. Or is it just me with my only ecpirience being with mirrors painted on the front?
If I had a laser like that I'd probably need a long checklist because I'm a champion of forgetting things...
