I’ve been woodworking for a couple years now and have built many awesome looking things with 2x4 and 2x6 . I’m a carpenter so I get the lumber for free after the jobs are done , which is awesome. And it’s cheaper to learn with low grade lumber before moving up to the expensive lumber lol . Anyways loved the video , new subscriber here ! Cheers

Amazing timing on this video! ... I just made a very nice stand for a Nord Piano5 out of fir 2x4's. At Lowes I found the 10' 2bys to be the cleanest needing very little picking through the pile to get just the right boards. I am very happy with my results. The piano stand cost about $25 in materials and about 6hrs of work.
I think I laughed most when you held your hand out to catch the panel then just let it drop. I always enjoy your videos for both the humor and learning new techniques. Love you, man!
I like the design and the result. Shows it's not the material but the brain that makes it all work. And I like your presentation. Always have from the "Drunken Woodworker" days.
What most who just jump into things may not realize : starting with pine will teach you a lot. Examples include, can’t be aggressive with pressure (screws, planing, cross cuts, etc). It will teach you to appreciate harder woods when you get there.
Keep at it Dave! There are gatekeepers in every industry, fandom, etc….,and they all suck! We love what you do, and more importantly, you love what you do.
I'm a old bat with a wood shop. I restore antique furniture and do custom builds out of trash lumber. I made some picture frames which housed 380 wine corks a piece and a sign for a doctors office out of a pile of redwood fencing scrap which I milled to perfection. Most of my wood I use is up-cycled and I am always on the prowl for anything I can find. I rarely get to use hardwoods. Right now I am turning a segmented bowl for a client on my 1947 Shop Smith (which I rebuilt myself) out of a futon and a ring of hardwood as an accent. Nice video.

Love it! Keep it Up… I like the vids w expensive tools. I was surprised how nice that came out w just 2/4s….
Great one! Love the banter, the project, everything! Except for..... Sand in the place where you live, when it wasnt there it started playing in my head and wont stop.... ❤
Wow, excellent film, even the commercial was entertaining! Super build, amazing results! Best use of 2x4 ever! Mahalo for sharing! : )
How could you not make some good furniture with all those amazing tools in your workshop.
Oh believe me. I’ve made some crap.
Gained a new subscriber for the laughs and obviously the craftsmanship. The finger condom in the wallet for the glue spreading was hilarious.
Love seeing other tradesmen work, the festool domino is life
Great work as always man. You had me laughing on this one. My grandma was a lovely lady. She would adore you. Also, nice domino on pine wood work. I’m with you on this.
Awesome video David!! Just wholesome, thank you for the effort that you put into these.
5 of the 6 sides 😂😂😂😂 when you’re having fun, we’re all having fun!!
by far - your absolute funniest video. loved it!
I would not say you talk too much -- your yak-yak to whack-whack ratio is much better than average. Clear & succinct without unneeded rambling. Keep up the great work!!
I love the driving part of the video! When you first started it I was thinking “It would be really funny if he did other backgrounds too...” and then you did! Haha so awesome!
And the table ended up looking great!
The Jointer & CNC are a Game Changer!!!
I love this project. It turned out awesome! What is most astonishing to me is how clean your shop is... you must have 10,000 cfm filters and full time staff to keep it that way! Amazing. Do you wipe that tv screen every 5 mins???
I’ve been woodworking for a couple years now and have built many awesome looking things with 2x4 and 2x6 . I’m a carpenter so I get the lumber for free after the jobs are done , which is awesome. And it’s cheaper to learn with low grade lumber before moving up to the expensive lumber lol . Anyways loved the video , new subscriber here ! Cheers
Looking forward to seeing the next piece of furniture from the Jim Duggan line. Looks awesome.
**goes to the store to get a hacksaw**
I love your videos. I have learned so much. I definitely use what I have and no you don't talk too much. Keep doing what you are doing and I thank you.
Have to say again my favorite wood working channel.
♥️♥️
That is a legit good build. Impressed. Good design, and great video production as well
I learned a lot while watching this video, thank you for sharing
I could only dream of having a shop and tools like yours. Holly molly!
For real right. The shop is so clean and free from dust.
I like the design and the result. Shows it's not the material but the brain that makes it all work.
And I like your presentation. Always have from the "Drunken Woodworker" days.
❤️
Nice video.
Groundhog Day in the background, You got a sub. Great content, I’ll be here to congratulate you on 1 million subs. Thx for your time and sharing your knowledge.
Hey! My grandma was a grandma! 😂 great project I’m always saying that 2x4s are fine for a lot!
😂😂 I laughed through all the "glitching" brain and fun remarks. You're funny. I enjoyed the video.
Terrific project David & you have just elevated my respect for 2x4's! Nice job! 👍👍🔨🔨👏👏
I like the way you did the top. That came out pretty cool.
Those grooves painted black are the bomb
Bruh... your editor deserves another raise.
That would be me! I’ll take it!
Don’t listen to the people saying you talk too much. I love watching and listening to you. You’re too funny
That looks fantastic and gives me a lot of ideas for my Shopsmith.
I have no complaints about you're not wearing a shoulder belt but then again you do have the car in park so it's not going anywhere anyway.
My 1 year old daughter loves your music and has been dancing and smiling through this whole video. Though she might be smiling at the grandma comments...
That is the best square space ad yet. “Driving to the store.” Haha!
Your shop is awesome. Like the design of it..
Thank you!
