@@haraldhansen2761 Oooh, I've worked there for over a year now and people keep coming up with creative ways to interpret and connect things. Wrong, but creative. I can't go into specifics without explaining all the puzzles in detail so hope this'll do: I've absolutely had to drag groups through rooms with hints and they'd just be staring at the hint screen completely dumbfounded while I'd just laid out exactly what to do step by step. After 20 minutes (and half the room still to go), I just said whatever and let them pass. This happens more frequently. We generally don't let people get stuck that long. Hints get extremely obvious so people can actually enjoy the rest (or at least more) of the room within their alloted time. One group was so confused about a number they needed to call , I saw them entering "911#911' over and over again, which I laughed at. They got a hint and solved it then. One time a person was annoyed by the blacklight he held up a blanket over his head to try and read a note better. The note's writing was only visible in the blacklight. Held up the blanket higher bc he was convinced it would help. One group, annoyed at having to feel through a small hole in the wall for something, just ripped a large piece of the (wooden) wall off. One puzzle a group has to enter a code of colored shapes in the right order and they'd convinced themselves it was connected to something way back. It wasn't. Yet somehow the first three things they entered were correct by sheer luck. They were very confused why the next three were wrong because their logic, as was as they were concerned, was correct. They refused to burge from their methods when I told them it wasn't connected and they'd just gotten lucky. One time a kid was playing in the corner with a lock while his parents were trying to solve a different puzzle. He opened it. It broke the whole sequence of the room. But the things they would need with what the lock just opened weren't active yet in the software, but they refused to go back to earlier puzzles and were convinced they needed to solve the newly opened thing. In one room there's a small elevator that's supposed to carry players to a different room. To computer is supposed to know where the players are by a levers in each room. Upon pulling a lever, the doors behind would close and the next would open etc. The players devised a stringline across ALL LEVERS with some rope and other items gathered from rooms to be able to pull levers from wherever they were. The elevator left without them, all the lights were they were went dark (because they were supposed to have moved on), we had to go through all the manual overrides to get the lights and elevator back, unlock and lock all the doors. Watching them take tens of minutes doing absolutely nothing but playing with stupid sounds did it for me. It started out with me laughing with them, and then they just kept doing it somehow finding the same thing funnier each new time, literally dying from how funny they found it, as I'd long lost the humor in the sound and went catatonic to cope.
If you don't use the clues and just do the math using what you see at 15:10 you get the answer of 46. Are they multiplying? I assumed addition. You find that triangles equal to 15 square is equal to 48 and x is equal to -20. So you get a final answer of 46.
5th time asking for the Ultimate Second Person Shooter Tournament. Any FPS game, 2v2, but you can only see through your teammate's vision. I will continue until I see this or I get assassinated, whichever comes first.
I tried solving the cube/triangle/x puzzle algebraically, without using the hints (just to see if you even needed them) as a system of equations and lost my mind, spending half an hour trying to relearn systems of equations and not knowing what I was doing wrong, before finding the actual solution... then I watched the video and saw them solve it instantly. Great puzzle!
The solution to the puzzle with triangles and squares: You firt multiply all triangles and squares with each other, then add the number of crosses. The triangle is equal to 3, the square is 4

Why do i get the impression that in the time it'll take for vale to actually release his CfNA video since the initial teaser we'll have had time to play it through ourselves twofold.
In all fairness different human brains think *very* differently. I’m in The Two Dumbasses’s camp with the fundamentally not understanding the first puzzle. If Vale didn’t outright give them the solution of “it’s not 17 it’s 1+7” my brain would be literally incapable of perceiving it as anything other than 17. I don’t think in the way that makes 1+7 make sense, nor in a way to do that 4 times to make a code, my brain sees 17 and when 17 isn’t useful I genuinely would attempt to brute force the code for a bit before looking it up. There’s a reason escape rooms are incredibly tedious and unfun for a large portion of the people who try them.
That... wasn't the solution. It was "The first number of each pair is the order you input the second number" Looking around the room clockwise with the door as 12o'clock gives us the pairings 43 - 17 - 22 - 39, look at the first numbers as an order, and the second numbers as the actual code 7293

Well anyone who regularly does puzzle would know to try that since its a common form of puzzle but i get how that isn’t really helpful advice. Someone who didn’t know before hand was supposed to figure it out by seeing that you need a 4 digit code and have more than 4 numbers. The things you are missing at that point would be -a way to tell what numbers are relevant -a way to tell what order the numbers should be in One thing this could mean in a better game is that you are missing a cypher that tells you wich numbers are relevant but in this game the things you are supposed to notice here are -you don’t just have a random number over 4 you have 8 wich is exactly double the numbers you need. The assumption they expect you to make is that half the numbers aren’t relevant. Now you can guess what half of the numbers aren’t relevant and are expected to at some point consider that it might be the front or back half of the groups of numbers -at this point you should notice that the first numbers are 1,2,3 and 4 respectively and since you need a 4 number code and are still looking for the thing that tells you what order this code should be in the game expects you to realize that these numbers ARE what tells you what order to put the code in -under this assumption you only have 4 numbers left for the code wich is the amount you want and you know wich order to put them in. Again in many better games this kind of puzzle tends to look a little different. Often used for this are books. In the simplest form of this puzzle they have 1 number inside each book and then another number on the spine. In this case the numbers aren’t next to each other making it easier to realize they are separate numbers with separate meanings and books are something people often rearrange and while rearranging the books you would see the numbers on the spines and realize to sort them accordingly hence putting the code inside in the right oder. You can make a puzzle like that as complicated or easy as you want but ultimately the concept stays the same. And now back to my first point once you’ve solved a book puzzle like this you are far more likely to recognize the non book version as similar and figure out what you are supposed to do.

Honestly thats the noise I make when I have to do laundry too
I still have absolutely no idea how anyone would figure out that first puzzle
Well anyone who regularly does puzzle would know to try that since its a common form of puzzle but i get how that isn’t really helpful advice.
Someone who didn’t know before hand was supposed to figure it out by seeing that you need a 4 digit code and have more than 4 numbers.
The things you are missing at that point would be
-a way to tell what numbers are relevant
-a way to tell what order the numbers should be in
One thing this could mean in a better game is that you are missing a cypher that tells you wich numbers are relevant but in this game the things you are supposed to notice here are
-you don’t just have a random number over 4 you have 8 wich is exactly double the numbers you need. The assumption they expect you to make is that half the numbers aren’t relevant. Now you can guess what half of the numbers aren’t relevant and are expected to at some point consider that it might be the front or back half of the groups of numbers
-at this point you should notice that the first numbers are 1,2,3 and 4 respectively and since you need a 4 number code and are still looking for the thing that tells you what order this code should be in the game expects you to realize that these numbers ARE what tells you what order to put the code in
-under this assumption you only have 4 numbers left for the code wich is the amount you want and you know wich order to put them in.
