He truly roasted Vader when Vader actually failed his missions, outright disobeyed Palpatine or did something his master didn't want him to (like executing a traitor Palpatine was eager to torment and torture).
As a victim of seemingly invisible mental abuse, I can see exactly where the roast came from. It was literally the entire thing. The dark side of the force and rule of two ties into the Real Life psychological aspects of abuser and abused. The Master abuser has an ultimate power over their apprentice and can "trigger" the target with very very little effort which is practically invisible to the untrained. Triggers are trained deep into the unconscious and conscious layers of the ID and Ego over many years until 90-99% of the abuse is unseen and unheard. The 'dark side' builds and builds until the target feels their own need to complete the cycle of abused/abuser by abusing others in order to fill the dark hole in their soul. They eventually become master abusers themselves and will either kill their own abuser in a fit of passion or outlive their abuser or simply die themselves while their abuser finds a new stronger target who can take it and use it themselves.
I think what's meant to implied here is what Sidious meant by "ruined" It came off more like "Why have you put yourself in a state of *weakness* in front of me again" His teasing coming off more like "I'm going to put you in another round of weakening in that suit, have fun finding my second set of hidden traps to put you in line" which Vader still resented him from the last time.

Vader could have had his cybernetics enhanced AS HE SAW FIT...plus, he's been destroyed many times in the comics...yet he's still vulnerable to force lightning...seems like that would have come up...but maybe the technology wasn't available to him. He had to work with what he had...?
@@sexytransvixen45 the movies make it hard to make those changes. Vader has to be kept vulnerable to lightning because that's what ends up killing him in the return of the Jedi so no comic or other prequel can negate that. Makes it tough to cover those kinds of things when your handcuffed to one specific ending
Early on in Sidious’s rule, Vader was tasked with defending an AT-AT factory and to ignore the Jedi on that planet. Instead, Vader hunted the Jedi down and returned to the factory, finding it destroyed. His punishment was only to meditate on his failure. Years down the line, Vader denied a direct order and demanded a planet of his own for his continued services. Palpatine agreed without an argument, even offering his own homeworld to Vader. The only times Palpatine ever severely punished Vader was when he made the Vader suit intentionally terrible and horrendously painful to be in after Anakin was defeated by Obi Wan, and immediately after the suit was put on when Vader attacked Palpatine for tricking him. Palpatine then lightninged Vader to near death after. But after those two instances, we never see any real punishment from Sidious.
By your logic the people who let sidious return in legends already ruined his legacy and Disney owns Star Wars so they decide what is canon not a bunch of bitchy manchildren
I think even if Palpatine just turned off vader's suit vader might have a chance. The comics have show Vader being able to stay alive and fully move with the force when his suit got powered down. If something were to anger Vader enough to attack Palpatine I think he would stand a pretty good chance.
Technically, the duel between Yoda and Palps seemed like a stalemate to me; Yoda's blocking the force lightning and rebounding it caused the both to be separated, and then the duel was pretty much over by that point. Yoda could have gotten back in the fray, but other people came along, and Yoda probably felt they were too evenly matched, or the opportunity was gone. Sidious ultimately won, but it would've been nice to see what would have happened if they hadn't become separated. Also, the scene with Vader in the bacta tank is a nice reminder that only his forearms and lower legs were severed, and not his entire arms and legs. Though, anything that happened later, I don't know about it.
As iconic as Vader's mask is, sometimes I wonder if he would have been even scarier if only his eyes were not covered by it, then we could see that fury in full force.
I think it's a pretty good description. Palpatine knew his limits, and Vader was still discovering his. However, there is an instance when Vader saw an alternate timeline where he actually returned to the light. In the vision he had, he straight up challenged Sidious and killed him with one attack I believe Vader could smash Sidious with ease if he were angry enough. He's had his armor disabled before and, while not up against someone like Sidious, he came out on top. All of that said, at this stage in Vader's life, Palpatine had him beat. Vader was broken. Sidious capitalized on this and, because of his genius, effectively put Vader at his feet. That would change later, of course.
Come on, i can't be the only one who thought from the thumbnail that Sidious is just gonna literally roast Vader by sticking his lightsaber inside his bacta tank to make the water boil
Considering Darth Vader was an engineer, you would think he would have found a way to design his suit so that it could block force lightening or even absorb the lightening. I'm sure there are ways he could have done it.
I'm afraid I would disagree with you on your analysis of this scene, SWC. Sidious has trolled Vader before, and it has been much different than the scene here. Instead, I felt a much more civil and strictly business-like conversation going on.

Obi wan, mace, yoda, dooku, even Rey blocked lightning. But everytime vader comes up against it, he takes it straight to the face. And he is more powerful than any of them.
Mike M Maybe it has to do with Vader not having actual hands? I think you need real arms for blocking force lightning. Plus Vader’s suit gets fucked and can’t stand ANY lightning without damage. Dick move by Sidious to weaken his armor...
Because when he is in the suit, he does not need to use some extra force to sustain his body, and can use all of it in the battle, instead of constantly concentrating on his auric body.

Honestly with the technological prowess in Star Wars (warp drive, sentient droids, cloning, etc) it makes no sense that limbs couldn’t be regrown. Also, it really doesn’t make sense to me that Anakin couldn’t regrow his limbs with the force. Loss of midichlorians or not he was the chosen one. Heck, his midichlorian concentration was FAR greater than Yoda’s and he was still larger than Yoda even with his limbs gone. The only thing that makes sense to me is that is psychological condition weakened him. Not his body.
Vader lost more than half his connection to the force. Force lives through living tissue. He was originally going to be twice as powerful, but now he's only 80% power of Palpatine.

I'm shocked and was half expecting him to literally start adjusting the bacta tank, messing with Vader's settings, changing the temperature, adding epsom salts, extra bubbles, perfume... hahahahaha Whoever came up with this scene should be whipped and then rewarded for its brilliance. :)

Palpatine wanted Vader to be in a clunky, easy to destroy suit to keep Vader weaker than himself in a vain attempt to break the Rule of Two (the student kills the master and the student becomes the master afterward, the cycle of all Sith lords).
I agree in the fact that Vader definitely had the potential to be more powerful than Sidious, but his guilt held him back. I’m also pretty sure Sidious knew this which is why he used his guilt to keep him in check, or rather his power.
Also on Vader vs Sidious. Sidious is more experienced and knowledgable than Vader. It doesn't matter how powerful Vader is or how his suit limits him. If Sidious knows how to fight him and work around his own weaknesses he can win. Sidious's arrogance lead him to lower his guard as he didn't think Vader would ever turn on him and due to his own victories over the decades. But in a serious fight between them I feel like Sidious would know exactly how to take Vader down while Vader would only focus on overpowering Sidious.
And what’s even more impressive is that he threw Sidious down a garbage shute all while getting blasted by Sidious’ Force Lightning. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is my favorite character of all time. Next would be Revan/Darth Revan
For the ones who have watched this longer this is like church You've heard seen them before because he has to out the new ones for the rookies but there is some new ones here and there and you get really excited about it for no apparent reason
I dont understand something, supposedly Vader had a way more advanced suit made for him, but he couldnt use it because it was risky procedure, but here he is out of his suit and soaking in bacta. Wouldnt be easier to switch to the advanced suit while soaking in bacta?
The two Sith I always compare in a fight (And I know this is fanboy silliness) but its Darth Vader vs Darth Nihilus mainly cause I am always fascinated on the idea of the half machine versus the Force (life) drain. On one hand there is less of Vader to withstand the drain before he dies but on the other hand Vader has a tremendous well of power to be taken and robotic limbs wouldn't feel the fatigue as quickly as a fully intact person cause well...the limbs wouldn't be drained. I know, I know I'm a weird fanboy.
I have a question. If the way a Sith makes a kyber crystal red is to bleed it after taking it from a Jedi, then how did Darth Sidious have so many light sabers? I remember reading somewhere that Darth Sidious had several light sabers at his disposal at any given time, two he kept hidden on him and several others he had hidden around his office in the senate as well as others hidden in his palace and other locations, and this was before order 66. So, if the bleeding is the process of making red kyber crystals, then how did Sidious get so many from the Jedi? This is why I like the Legends version of how sith had red crystals, that they were artificial and that during the process of forging them the sith poured all of their dark side power into them which made them red.
As for the second half of your video, Vader is physically much stronger than Sidious and even his former self, but his vulnerability to electricity keeps him from attacking Sidious directly. In legends, Starkiller pushed Vader through at least five metal walls, and Vader was completely unharmed. In canon, Vader has survived sinking hundreds of meters under water, has walked off up close explosions without a second thought, and has survived being dropped into lava for a few moments. All of these things would have killed him without his suit. Force sensitivity aside, cyborg Vader is more capable as a whole.
Steven Doolittle Vader is neither weaker than Anakin nor did he lose his potential. That is LEGENDS not Canon. In fact in Lords of the sith novel, which is Canon mind you. Its stated thar Vader's power has increased tremendously after he was put in the suit; his suit being state of the art technology.
@@sheluvprada That's true. Vader, in canon, is more powerful than ever, and it has been debated among the Star Wars fan base as to whether his power with the Force was hindered by his accident or not. After reading the new comics, I can see why, as they have several strong implications throughout the stories that Vader was never weakened by his accident on Mustafar, and all of the problems with his suit have been removed except for the vulnerability to high voltage electricity. It seems Sidious wanted Vader to be the ultimate fighter in every way against anyone EXCEPT for him. Perhaps he is greater in nearly every way.
ok so in a straight up vader vs sideous fight. lets say sideous follow banes rule of 2 and actually teaches vader instead of in canon limiting him. i see different ways vader could give himself an advantage. vader would be aware of the weakness's in his suit so a lot of his force powers would be focused into a force barrier to deflect or even re-direct sideous's lightning whilst going for the kill with his sabre. vader could easily use the force ability "force weapon" a power that allows a force user to imbue physical objects with great strength and resistance to damage. vader could easily use this on his entire suit after all if he can push back millions of gallons of water using force weapon should be no problem. vader knows palpatines routine inside and out and also knows a direct fight would be suicide so he would have to think with his head not his lightsabre so perhaps to distract sideous he could use the rebel cells feeding them enough info so that they engineer a situation that would require darth sideous's direct attention on the field. after that vader would have the perfect moment to either use a power like force choke to snap his neck, order an orbital bombardment on his master or putting a few assassins amongst the rebels with orders to not let the rebels capture sideous alive to instead kill him.
No wonder Darth Vader chucked him down a garbage chute.

A suit built like a Faraday cage would be better. Kinda like what power line workers use.
Palpatine wanted Vader to be in a clunky, easy to destroy suit to keep Vader weaker than himself in a vain attempt to break the Rule of Two (the student kills the master and the student becomes the master afterward, the cycle of all Sith lords).
Awsome job Bessy
I agree in the fact that Vader definitely had the potential to be more powerful than Sidious, but his guilt held him back. I’m also pretty sure Sidious knew this which is why he used his guilt to keep him in check, or rather his power.
bruh this comic is like 5 years old
And we still love it and watch it 😉👍
@@SmileysYT and i still wank to it

obi wan went from verbally roasting anakin to literally roasting anakin
Tbh I just like the videos that talk about lord Vader
Also on Vader vs Sidious. Sidious is more experienced and knowledgable than Vader. It doesn't matter how powerful Vader is or how his suit limits him. If Sidious knows how to fight him and work around his own weaknesses he can win. Sidious's arrogance lead him to lower his guard as he didn't think Vader would ever turn on him and due to his own victories over the decades. But in a serious fight between them I feel like Sidious would know exactly how to take Vader down while Vader would only focus on overpowering Sidious.
Great video mate
I think Darth Vader would EASILY crush sidious, since his suit made him taller than sidious, he will always have the high ground
And what’s even more impressive is that he threw Sidious down a garbage shute all while getting blasted by Sidious’ Force Lightning. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is my favorite character of all time. Next would be Revan/Darth Revan
lol cooked him hotter than the rivers of Mustafar did
Sidious during his fight with Yoda.. threw the senate.. the whole senate
(It’s a robot chicken reference)
I thought from the description that Sidious boiled the liquid Vader was in.
*Obi-Wan leaves*
well at least I don't have to deal with his sarcasm and trolling. Master of getting caught my-
*Sidious walks in*
oh no
Actually Obi Wan is the one that roasted anakin... pretty bad actually
Yoda & Palpatine
*It's a Match!*
Lord Vader is very good at focus of mind body and all it's energy.
For the ones who have watched this longer this is like church
You've heard seen them before because he has to out the new ones for the rookies but there is some new ones here and there and you get really excited about it for no apparent reason
Did the Bacta soothe Darth Vader's wounds in a way? Like It can't heal them but can stop the paim temporarily
"Roasted"? No, he didn't...
Sidious to Darth Vader in a Bacta Tank: you're not that cute! and your hair's uneven! ya look dusty!
0:48 Vader looks like his head is disconnected
I dont understand something, supposedly Vader had a way more advanced suit made for him, but he couldnt use it because it was risky procedure, but here he is out of his suit and soaking in bacta. Wouldnt be easier to switch to the advanced suit while soaking in bacta?
No, For him to actually upgrade his suit his life support had to be turned off
I thought you meant literal roasting but this was better. Sorry about your video being taken down
The two Sith I always compare in a fight (And I know this is fanboy silliness) but its Darth Vader vs Darth Nihilus mainly cause I am always fascinated on the idea of the half machine versus the Force (life) drain.
Probably from previous sith masters passed down or smthn
Sick burn, but hasn't he already had enough fire?
Anakin was never able to use that level of telekinesis.
The dark side really did empower him
As for the second half of your video, Vader is physically much stronger than Sidious and even his former self, but his vulnerability to electricity keeps him from attacking Sidious directly.
Vader was also Thrown into a Lake of Lava...& was Just Chillin' like a True Villian!
ok so in a straight up vader vs sideous fight.
lets say sideous follow banes rule of 2 and actually teaches vader instead of in canon limiting him.
i see different ways vader could give himself an advantage.
vader would be aware of the weakness's in his suit so a lot of his force powers would be focused into a force barrier to deflect or even re-direct sideous's lightning whilst going for the kill with his sabre.
vader could easily use the force ability "force weapon" a power that allows a force user to imbue physical objects with great strength and resistance to damage. vader could easily use this on his entire suit after all if he can push back millions of gallons of water using force weapon should be no problem.
vader knows palpatines routine inside and out and also knows a direct fight would be suicide so he would have to think with his head not his lightsabre so perhaps to distract sideous he could use the rebel cells feeding them enough info so that they engineer a situation that would require darth sideous's direct attention on the field.
after that vader would have the perfect moment to either use a power like force choke to snap his neck, order an orbital bombardment on his master or putting a few assassins amongst the rebels with orders to not let the rebels capture sideous alive to instead kill him.
*A Wild Senate Has Appeared!*
Just imagine Hulk-like Vader Vs Lightning fast Sidious.
Anger vs Speed.
Tank vs Electricity.
Master Vs Student.
Sidious: Vader you lost your wife, kids , best friend, what a loser
