Crane is a legend in that universe. He’s known for being the greatest runner that ever lived because he was incredibly athletic and skilled at parkour. You would have to be an olympic medalist to survive in that world.

I wouldn’t want to survive it. Imagine how bad it would be. Imagine how God awful the smell would be. Everything around you, anywhere you go, would smell of rotting flesh, feces, decay, etc. Not to mention the different types of beefed up variants. That one zombie is an absolute unit, the one that charges at you and throws cars and stuff. If I encountered that, I might be paralyzed straight up out of fear.
It would be a very, very lonely and stinky world…It wouldn’t be something you would want to survive.
exactly! The smell is super awful! Which is why one of my favorite sidequests in Dying Light 2 is about someone complaining of the smell (the realistic thing to do) and tries to make an air freshener haha.

This game has got to be one of my favourite zombie games ever, the sheer world building and secrets you can find across the map are awesome, from the large bridge on the edge of the map that you can explore, and the plethora of cool Easter eggs found on both base maps and the dlc map, it’s just so cool! And that doesn’t even cover the badass gameplay. (Sure the story wasn’t the best and the ending “tap this button” type ending was underwhelming, I still found all the progression and content fantastic)
Me too...what a fantastic game!! I got it back in 2017 but didn't play it for some odd reason...started playing it in 2018 and boy was I blown away
I especially enjoy The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, I want a combination between the best zombie games.
I wish they would release Red Dead Redemption 2: Undead Nightmare.

I know, I am late; but I love how a major fact in Dying Light is the fact that the Armed Forces of Turkey simply refuse to go in and Kill the Zombies, but instead wait out and quarantined it, stopping infection out, but dooming the ones inside.

@Kermit 2 well in the game there aren't any cases of them like on top of high buildings like sky scrapers but i guess in real life they could but i just feel i would be safest at the top of a building since in the game most of the volatile nests are underground or are in some dark tunnel or something like that
Don't forget to add that even if someone is as capable as Crane, most city infrastructures are not designed by parkour in mind as a method of getting around.
While in Lore Harran might have not been designed for parkour, from a game design standpiont, it was to the very last detail.
So even if you had the inhuman video game mobility in real life, you most likely wouldn't have the terrain to support you like it does in game. You'd have buildings far apart from each other, and long wide roads that were designed for cars, but now are occupied by zombie hordes.
Depends on the country. In Europe where there are still many old towns you would have quite good chances. Ofc all this car-centric US-city-style and you are doomed once the 6 lane roads are filled with the infected.
In the game it is stated that people propped up things to improve the odds of scaling buildings so if a community survives over time they will modify the surroundings.
6:33 small mistake here, you can find this out in a side mission where you get UV bulbs
The Ministry Of Defence did not immediately bomb all bridges, infact the bridges were quickly equipped with high power UV lights to repel the zombies from escaping, this was supposed to be an escape but it failed when the power got cut out so it unfortunately allowed for the escape of some zombies, the ministry quickly reacted and bombed the bridge to attempt to stop it from spreading more
Unfortunately we don't how it exactly escaped to the whole world but hopefully we'll have that explained in a mission in DL2

You talk a lot of shit about dying light zombie not being creative but unlike your two ''very'' imaginative creation, dying light zombie's mutation are explained and plausible. Not only that but a zombie with a long range attack that can debilitate is pretty much what the toad/spitty boi/spitter is , while the spawn zombie close to himself is pretty much like the screamer/child zombie/snappy boi except that yours doesnt disorient or get the famous cute ''aww'' from your gf before traumatizing her its, therefore spawner is inferior.
There is also the technical limitation of the game, not everything you can imagine can be coded into a game with limitation (otherwise id want some shadow of the collosus type of zombie (not realist but potentially fun as fuck). On the other hand the 5+ basic zombie archetype, give a decent amount of design possibility, are fairly balanced, doesnt require a pokedex for your zombie and is a field tested formula that work and is enjoyable.
Finally you giving shit to other for not being creative while essentially re-skinning two common zombie archetype and not providing any form of explanation whatsoever on how the human body could acquire such ability. Also you call the zombie that can spawn other zombie Spawner and the one that can shock you is called shockwave (a bit more original but wrong since a shockwave by definition as nothing to do with electricity and more to do with explosive or any other type of object or circumstance that can create a deflagration)
btw im probably not gonna answer, arguing on the internet is like kicking you own nut, never fun and at your own risk hope you learn that lesson at some point, its really helpfull.

My trick is find a enclosed room wait for night and draw as much attention as possible and with a semi auto shotgun i just let them in and drop them in 1 or 2 shots and when i need to reload throw a uv flare and good to keep going. Most i banked in 1 night i ranked up like 2-3 lvls

People really underestimate how much stamina it takes to fight even one zombie. Like, if that zombie is anything above the walking dead level, you're probably going to be close to exhaustion once you hit the 4th/5th one.

I don't think that stomach acid would ever really be able to have any sort of major impact on ones thoracic cavity even if their metabolism is slowed or sped up by this sort of virus. It's a really, really weak version of muriatic acid (aka dilute hydrochloric acid) which is rapidly diluted further when introduced to other fluids. You'd need something called a strong acid (they have specific formulations that act closer to a stoichiometric equilibrium) to dissolve flesh such as "piranha solution" (which is a mixture of sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide.)

I honestly can't see Dying Light 2 baiting us with the "your choices matter" mechanic it's advertising. The game's story is being written by Chris Avellone. This is the guy who is well known for the stories of Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas, both games with a great variety of outcomes for the endings.
I've got high hopes, especially with how well done the first game is.
Chris did fantastic with New Vegas. You can do whatever you want in that game ❤️

Incredible game. I played when it came out on xbox years ago. Recently grabbed it for super cheap on Steam and have been having a blast revisiting Harran. I wish DL2 was on that level (it was good not great).

Just now am I getting to this video, despite it being in my recommended hundreds of times. The main reason I’d say is just because Crane’s athletic prowess is basically unmatched.
Actually, UV lights are so common, you probably even have some at home. Florescent bulbs all emit uv light, it's just the coating on the glass that filters it out. So uh, yeah uv lights wouldn't be anywhere near as rare as the games imply. You could probably jury rig some uv lamps pretty easily.
Yeah but there are multiple types of UV. It's never specified which one is used in dying light and but it's probably one that doesn't even exist, but it looks like it was based off of UVC light which is are used in hospitals to disinfect without using chemicals. In fact they're specifically marked to never point them at any living creature because it causes damage to DNA which is how they destroy organisms like bacteria.
@@dirtyshinobii While that could be true, it could just as likely be UV-A, as there are countless times in both games where you and other characters straight up sleep while bathed in the light. That would lead them to need to explain why so many people don't have severe skin damage/cancer in part 2. In my opinion it just seems so much more likely they didn't consider types of UV and just based the lights on typical hydroponic UV lamps which I believe are UV-A. That would back up my claim that typical fluorescent bulbs sans the filter would work against the volatiles. And to further control an area just bust the glass cover off older non-led street lights, they produce far more UV than any other lightbulb that isn't specifically made to produce UV.
Quick edit as I just realized. The volatiles only come out at night. The UV from the sun would damage them, and all UV-C produced by the sun is absorbed by the atmosphere of earth before it reaches us. So yeah, it's not UV-C. God I'm a massive nerd.

That first time your caught out past sunset and THEY see you is absolutely terrifying. It's so well crafted that as you run for your life you truly feel like they are right behind you. I can't remember the last time made the feeling of fear so palpable. You are actually afraid to go out after dark.. great game.

I've subsisted primarily on lard for a month while maintaining my vitality. I've been on the ketone for four years. It would be easy to barricade my stairwell or hide in the attic crawl space while the national guard kills all of the zombies outside. People who live on the second floor or higher would have it the easiest. All they would need to do is barricade their one entrance.

National guard are aren't doing anything. They will run home, protect their families and soon be more of a threat than the zombies themselves. Going from house to house scavenging what little they can to eat.
@@AdamAdamHDL I would join the national guard if I was needed. There could be civilians authorized to help distribute food. People in the national guard would realize if they don't kill zombies, their families won't be safe. Also, everyone is recommended to have months worth of bottled water and food in case if there's a natural disaster.

Well that's because human life and society collapse. Just as bleak as the story was in the first with containing the virus, it turned out quarantine did not matter in the first game and society collapsed fast.
I love the new game cuz unlike most game developers, Techland isn’t trying to make the second game a complete copy from the first game, and I love the more of an RPG type game when choices change the future of the game. It’s going to be AMAZING I can’t wait for the release
