All was great till I heard that price. I get they charge more like Corsair and I don’t mind to an extent but do people really still pay this kind of money for a gaming mouse ? Clearly they do. But there are so many great mice for under 100.
@@KitGuruTech Im actually using the Keychron mouse that they started selling ago. I am clearly not good enough to need anything more as im enjoying gaming on it, and its like a portion of the price of this. I love this Razer mouse, no doubt its better, but it is £100 better? I doubt it. I see you have the keychron keyboard in your backdrop, have you tried the keychron mouse yet?
@@Francioslusi-kg6cx No I've not tried the mouse, I'll maybe pick one up to have a look at. We have a review of the board you spotted (Q1 Max) coming soon :) - Mat
You can buy a Kysona M600, or Attack Shark X3 Pro. For a little over $20... And they're nearly as good as the Razer or a Logitech X Pro Superlight. You won't notice a difference at all, if you're not a person that's running really high DPI.
The Viper V3 Pro is a fantastic mouse. It, along with the Lamzu Maya, did not leave my desk until the new Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed came out. Now that has been my main. Razer is killing it lately. Also, to those commenting on the price, they also make the Viper V3 Hyperspeed, which has the same shape but uses a AA battery instead of a rechargeable battery, and has mechanical instead of optical switches, but at less than half the price ($55 on US Amazon as of right now).
I have been unlucky with Razer, I wouldnt say I am hard on their mice at all, but I have now had 3 fail so I have decided to buy other brands which is a shame as they are really good to use.
I've had mine for just over a month. And I bought the white version. Which some have said has a better coating. I've added grip tape anyway. Which was supplied with the mouse. I like the shape, the switches, and how light it feels in my hand. Expensive yes, but it will go on sale later this year, I'm sure.
Had the V1 but it was starting to not hold a charge after 3-4 years. Went to Microcenter to pick up my Asus PG32UCDM and saw that they were up to V3. Picked it up on a whim and so far it's a nice upgrade.
I agree, this mouse is amazing. However one thing you probably did test was the durability of the PTFE feet. On the atlas glass pad the feet only lasted less than 150 hours.
I've been using it on a Skypad 3 since I got it for review and the feet show a small amount of wear and tear but they're still going strong. It's been about two months since I started using it now - Mat
I've been using the Mamba 2012 since... 2012... flawless but it's time for an upgrade I think. I think it's funny this viper seems to have a similar design; i've been waiting for something like the Mamba to come back. But, I do love the tiny RGB hint on the mamba... Anyway, maybe this is the one.
really good looking mouse, my shape, nice and light, - might be tempted. sometimes they go on sale. 160 might be asking a bit much, I hate paying over 100 for any mouse.
I have had so many Razer mice and almost all of them has failed inside 12 months, or just outside 12 months. I think im just too rough on them, yet ive an old logitech thats still going.
I like the mouse but I agree with some of the comments, its a £100 mouse, and id buy it. will wait for an amazon black friday or christmas sale to see if I can pick it up at the proper price !!
idk why razer gave this mouse a symmetrical shape, but only the left side has buttons when the right side doesn't in previous iterations of the viper, both sides had buttons
please report any spam you see - we get rid of it as soon as we can. Let us know what you think about this new Razer mouse - would you buy it?
All was great till I heard that price. I get they charge more like Corsair and I don’t mind to an extent but do people really still pay this kind of money for a gaming mouse ? Clearly they do. But there are so many great mice for under 100.

Surely they could still make good money on these selling them for £100. But £160 ?

Yeah it’s a good point
It’s Stupid money really
Hard to justify this. But if you like it and can afford it. Why not.
I don’t know how UK prices are set but in USA it’s much much cheaper at 150$ or 118 pounds.

I would buy this, mice usually last me years, my last Razer one still works and its 3 years old and used almost daily
Absolutely loving the precision on the Razer Viper V3 Pro! 🔥 Perfect for FPS games.
Keychron keyboard in the background well done on that purchase !
Their software puts me off, but I didnt know you could install it, set it up then deinstall it, thats handy to know thanks man
Just got the Viper V3 Pro, and it's a beast. Can't recommend it enough for FPS enthusiasts!
Finally found my go-to mouse for competitive gaming. The V3 Pro is a game-changer!
The Calibration tab in this software package always works well, but I hate the adverts - did know you could turn them off thanks !!
no problem!

Great review mat, love that keyboard too, I hope you review it soon!
Thanks - Review of the Q1 Max coming soon! :)
@@KitGuruTech Welcome!!
Oh I have an older version of this almost identical shape, I love their mice - never had any issues either !
The Mamba?
The weight and responsiveness are spot on. Razer nailed it with the Viper V3 Pro
For FPS gaming, this is one of the best you can get on the market today
did you buy one?
Nice you spent a bit of time with it - thanks for the coverage, was wondering if this was good enough, but £160 is madness
its not cheap !
@@KitGuruTech I understand!
The Viper v3 Pro was the same price tho?
I like the shape of this, will suit my hand well
I always liked the Viper mice - good products, just a bit expensive for what you get IMO.
Agreed
Yeah a bit indeed 😂
I have been unlucky with Razer, I wouldnt say I am hard on their mice at all, but I have now had 3 fail so I have decided to buy other brands which is a shame as they are really good to use.
Their build quality has always been lacking.

Good info thanks for sharing
It took more than a year for the Viper v3 pro to go from 160 to under 125, so I doubt it will make a big difference.
Makes a lot of sense. If it cost £90 not £160 !
Great review mat as always. Button clicks sound nice and crisp 🤘🏻
Awesome content Kitguru, thanks for the analysis of the mouse, but I dont think I can justify paying £160
Excellent review thanks mat, job well done
Love the shape, really comfortable looking for my hand shape
excellent thanks for the comment
@@KitGuruTech Welcome!
Wow that really glides around! Want that glass mouse pad too now.
Love this mouse. Brother got it for his birthday. It’s really smooth on a good hard mat
That high polling rate battery life is amazing. Cant believe it uses up the battery that fast.
The fact you didnt review any before was interesting, good to come in fresh. Do you not think £160 is just too much for any mouse?
Looks like they have really put a lot of effort into their software suite its very impressive.
Great review Mat, I agree, it is an excellent mouse, bought one a few weeks ago
good to hear you are happy with it

Yeah that’s the same mouse I’ve used for while
Like the closeups of that mouse as it shows its quite a premium product.
I like Razer, always make some great gaming keyboards and mice
Classy looking mouse, I havent bought a Razer mouse in years
Great gaming mice - really recommend Razer products, good software too, like Corsairs
I like their mice, just never liked the pricing. but this one seems good - thanks mat

Wish they would open source their software.

@@KitGuruTech yes I think the atlas pad has more friction than the SP3, leading to more aggressive material loss.
Love that mouse mat that Mat has got there.

OK I cant get over that price tag. Who do they think they are? Apple?
Quite cool the auto polling rate increase for gaming.
Pretty good looking mouse. Not sure why so many people are surprised it’s so expensive. Has no one been watching Razer prices for years ? 😀
Setting the software up is a bit of a pain I find, but its ok once you get used to it

That’s really nice. Love that shape but my wife is left handed so useless as we share same computer
Thanks mat. I’m starting to understand you better now !
No worries!
lovely mouse really well thought out. its a flagship mouse from a flagship brand. its not going to be cheap. people need to realise that.
So you don’t mind paying the price ?
idk why razer gave this mouse a symmetrical shape, but only the left side has buttons when the right side doesn't
in previous iterations of the viper, both sides had buttons
Yes good point.
4000hz when gaming, does it actually really make any difference at all? I doubt it but would love to hear
Some people say they feel a difference. Only way to know is to try yourself.
@@KitGuruTech Your Correct
Those side buttons look really solid.b
this 4000hz polling rate - never tried it, surely it makes some difference? anyone tried it ?
I prefer Synapse to iCUE, always had more success with it and less CPU drain too, iCUE is a hog
Amazing for a flagship as its got a really restrained design.
Great review thanks mat.
Glad you enjoyed it
How light is it? I like a very light mouse my hand gets sore, need more time in the gym
54g
Those polling rates seem excessive for an average use, battery gets killed too, so its pointless IMO
With those battery drain rates they should have included a magnetic charging dock like the Viper Pro.
Yes good idea
What are those speakers you are using ? Edifier? is that a chrome finish? !
Edifier QR65s - They have infinity mirror style baffles
I remember the ball mice that Apple used to sell, square, cabled, and you moved a ball in the middle. how things have changed
Thankfully 😀
Attack shark r1 is the same same same even the size and i paid 12$ for it...damn, AliExpress for the win!
Wow they are certainly not shy charging for this one. 😮
What is that massive white mat you use ? its huge!
Skypad 3.0 XL
@@KitGuruTech 🤍🤍🤍
👍👍
Without thumb rest not sure id like this love my Logitech.
They aren’t made very well, they break quite easily, avoid !
I still prefer a wired mouse for gaming over wireless even though the wire can get in the way.
What's the point of wireless though, it's literally 50cm from the PC to the desk
No cables looks cleaner and mouse movement feels much more fluid and smooth without cable drag - Mat
Nice review mat. Too expensive for me that mouse
Glad you enjoyed it!
that white pad is massive! what is it?
It's a Skypad 3.0 XL 👍🏻
That dongle as an additional purchase is very cheap from Razer.
The price is always ridiculous, its like Corsair Tax- over the top
Razer make good mice, but im not sure I would pay this for all the wireless stuff I dont even like. Do they make a wired version of this mouse?
Pricing isnt so bad given what Sony what for the PS5 pro controller.
I prefer a more ergonomic shape that is shaped to my hand.
2:34 Can someone please tell me what game is that?
Call of Duty MW3 (2023) 👍
@@KitGuruTech Thank you!!!
If you run on Linux for example what is the software support for that?
How do you know its a gaming mouse? I cant see any rgb on there whatsoever.
Agree with Mat too much branding is rubbish better to be a bit more discrete.
Shessh so many tightwads here ! 😝 get a good job guys. 160 for a mouse to use all the time isn’t too much money !!
How does this compare to to the Corsair DarkCore SE?
I've not tried that mouse to compare unfortunately - Mat
You looked a bit bored in this video. id love that job, playing with all the cool new tech as its just released
Definitely not bored! :)
Is it possible to connect the razer viper v3 pro to any console?
I thought my Logitech super light pro x was a lot of money at £130 !
Expensive too !
