Flat hunting in London is the absolute ghetto. Lucky you are 2, makes it a lot easier. I'm all by myself and it hasn't been pleasant. I pray I get someone to share soon.
Yea we are super lucky to have us both! Where are you looking in london? And what are you looking for? We can try and give some help virtually if helpful at all! Xx
I just came across your video, eye opening! I'm from London but lived 6 years in Tokyo and now living in Singapore. My apartment in Singapore which is classed as one of the most expensive cities in the world is bigger, has a pool, gym, 24 hour security and walking distance to main shopping hub is cheaper than all the apartments in your video. Also our Tokyo apartment was bigger and cheaper! It's crazy how expensive London is now! I really can't see myself ever living back there again. All the best though in your new apartment!
Yep completely understand! When I lived in Singapore and HK I LOVED all the high rises and it was something I was looking for when I moved back to london. Cos it’s not really a thing in London, they can get away with charging absolute craziness for prices. How long have you lived in Singapore? I need to come back to visit! I miss it so much!! Xx
I haven't finished the video yet but i'm just seeing your requirements and they seem insane! Like not insane as in bad, but as in impossible to find an apartment with all of those non negotiables. I'm about to start apartment hunting and I feel that the only thing i can "ask for" (as in non-negotiables) is like a window and a stove 😭
Yea I know what you mean! I think because we’ve lived in the area and we know what we like, we know what is and isn’t feasible and basically want something similar. How’s your apartment hunting going? Xx
Gosh your don’t get a lot for your money nowadays. I’m so happy I brought my house years ago. To be honest if I had to buy my house now I definitely wouldn’t be able to it. I definitely could afford to rent now. Can I ask why if your gonna pay that kinda rent why you not buying? 😊
We actually have two houses and in the process of buying 2 more but in london, buying a house in these types of locations isn’t worth the investment, in our opinion. We like the convenience of being able to change locations and not being tied to one spot xx

Hi, Have you gotten something? Also, currently flat hunting.
@@hemhemoh hi, unfortunately I have had to move out of London. I hope you find what you are looking for.

@doubledoseofchi I lived in HK also! I've only just moved to Singapore, 2 months now and I absolutely love it here! Beautiful place! 🇸🇬 🌴🌞
Beautifully edited, shot and explained!
Thank you so much! We’ve actually got another set of viewings coming up which is exciting but in a new place…. New updates coming soon! Xx
Loved this video. I’m moving to london soon and I have pretty much the same criteria regarding my flat search so that definitely helps!
Amazing! Did you find a flat in the end?! Xx
@ not yet :((((( I’ve visited some in Battersea but they were not as great as the ones I’m seeing in your video unfortunately… but I’ll keep looking!

i agree for the money that they have for Battersea and the non negotiables it’s quite extreme.
I’m so happy to have found your channel. You are so charming!
Oh thank you! That’s so sweet! Glad to have you a part of the family ❤️
Hi. My husband and I just subscribed to your channel. We plan on moving to London around January and hope to get some tips❤
Never heard of 6 months deposit. I live in London.
Neither have we esp given that we have lived in the area for a year and are British citizens lol
Loveee this video💕! I’m getting ready to go through this process also 🥲
Oh cool! Where in London are you looking? Xx
Flat hunting in any major city is like playing Russian Roulette. You just hope you outlive the competition! (Kidding...sort of)
Hahaha this is so true!!
Omg I have never clicked quicker 😂 I first found you because of your move to Leeds video 😢
We love this!! We’ve actually got another video coming up in another big city as there are a lot of updates job wise… stay tuned!! Xx
@@doubledoseofchi wonderful! i’ll definitely tune In and I wish you the best of luck with everything ❤️🙇🏾♀️
She’s looking in a very expensive area of London, plus her wish list is quite specific and probably not achievable in cheaper properties

@@doubledoseofchi right that makes a lot of sense. You should try buying in auction.
Great review, thanks …
Thanks so much for the comment! Are you looking for a flat in london too?!
@@doubledoseofchi No my daughter rents there( Lambeth area), so I’m always keeping an eye on the prices!
Single in London is just so bad. Find a good place is quite impossible with my salary
It’s really hard right now honestly. It’s such a shame cos london really is home
Can you give us an update on your new flat❤
Yes we actually need to update you guys! We moved in and absolutely love it!!
You’re not asking for much are you
No… that’s why I’m asking for it 😂
It should be illegal not to have a break clause. Terrible situation for renters.
Honestly! It locks you in no matter what 😩
I don’t get it, if you can afford to pay that much money in rent why not just buy a flat?
£4200 a month is very different to £1.2 million to buy the flat and the mortgage payments on top xx
Will Chidi be back from the states permanently soon then?
Not quite but stay tuned there are some exciting updates are coming soon!!!
OMG London is expensive to rent!
It really is! When you leave london, you realise how expensive the city is!! Are you moving to london? Xx
@doubledoseofchi oh no. I live in Australia. I emigrated from England when I was six. I did live in Greenwich when I was three for a bit.
