Loved your video! Great info! Please move your camera slower though, it made it a little hard to view, thank you!
Thank you!
Yeah, sorry about that 😅 It was very awkward to film in front of the realtors but I wanted to film as much as possible. Will try better next time 🙌🏻
the first apartment was a dream😭
riiight?! i was stunned especially for the price!
You don't have to pay for a guarantor !! My guarantors are my mom and my grandfather... and of course I don't pay them.
You do if you don't have anyone in France who can be your guarantor, so you have to pay for a guarantor service :/
Oh, yeah, I should've mentioned that if you have relatives/friends in France who can be your guarantor, surely you don't have to pay them, but otherwise, you do
Those fees. Oh my goodness. It's like that in a lot of cities in the US, too. I've seen places that charge first & last month AND a security deposit that's essentially another month (and you won't be getting that back, no matter how nice you leave the place).
Yeah the security deposit is a scam at this point 😪
in Germany it's actually normal for the security deposit to be 3x the rent without utilities
😱 That's so much money! Are tenants somehow protected from a landlord just making up reasons to not give the deposit back?
@@tanyanyanya the landlord has to tell you which things need fixing (also depends on your contract) and if you fixed them and payed your rent etc he has to give it back. If you broke something and didn't fix it he can have it repaired professionally and take the costs out of your deposit
@@helantopia sounds like a good deal, but scary anyway, so many horror stories about these deposits 😅 mine was also stolen once and nobody could do anything about it in the UK 😩
Switzerland as well
How much was the 6th and 7th apartment?
guarantor is usually a family member or friend isn't it?
can be, but I'm guessing they have to have a certain income and stuff like that. And if you don't have anyone in France it can be a company.
A rat frying cabbage in the sewers. Epic description!
the closest I could describe it haha 😅
Hey beautiful can i ask are you at paris for work? Or school...... I wanted to apply for job at Paris but i don't know wherebyo start from🥹
do you have to earn 3x the rent for your case?
oh, forgot to mention that, yes, you do
@@tanyanyanya thanks a lot for a reply! I just signed a contract work but my company is in the us. hopefully it's ok
@@entropy696 Good luck!
The French invented bureaucracy.
Haha 17:40 you will go crazy renting apartment in Switzerland…
oh, i can imagine! 🙈
A very big sketchy area😂
