    Hope this is helpful and let me know if you have any questions! 🤗
    If you want to sign up for my new newsletter that I mentioned, subscribe here on Substack! I'm still figuring it out, but I think I'll be going deeper into specific questions I get from my TH-cam, sharing my London recommendations, details of my travels, and more. - monicaxguan.substack.com/subscribe

    Super helpful video! I just moved from NYC to London and have realized both these cities need the same rigor finding an apartment.

    Would love to see a follow-up on agencies or brokers you'd recommend working with, either in a video or via your substack! :)

    My advice on how to rent a flat here in London England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 is don't spend much on things you don't need! Always keep an eye out on affordable things rather than expensive stuff! Also, save money inside a bank account & take out a little bit of money!

      Haha I’ll try to make one but unfortunately it’s not so straightforward and easy 😔

      @@MonicaXGuan omg yesss can we get some tips on how you managed to find a company that sponsored your visa? where you searched, interview stages, what questions they ask you, and how many years of experience did you have professionally?

    So useful, ❤ thank you 😊😊. Is it common that they keep your deposit when you leave, using any excuse regarding maintenance or similar? It happens in Spain despite the pictures having been taken!

    • @MonicaXGuan

      Def does happen sometimes, I've personally never had an issue. But there all deposits are required to be under a protection plan so if there are issues you can dispute it. They are quite fair with disputes.

    Hi Monica, what is happening if after 3 months of rent some of the appliances stopped working? Are you contacting agent or landlord and who is obliged to fix it? Thanks

    • @MonicaXGuan

      It varies! I would start with reaching out to your agent and they will let you know who is responsible. Because some landlords here pay their agencies a management fee to take care of all requests for them so I’ve have had both.

    Hi Monica, thank you for the info. How did you solve the visa gap issue? I have the similar issue... I got my YMS visa but it won't be activated until a few weeks later... do I still have the right to rent now?

    • @MonicaXGuan

      Heyy so my agency made we wait to sign the tenancy until it got approved. I think you might have to wait as well to officially sign the tenancy, but check with the agency! I think it might be more lax if you're going direct to an landlord.

      @@MonicaXGuan Thank you Monica. I'm lucky that I got a job offer before going to the UK but now have more problems like I don't have BRP or NI or right to rent...

  • @TheLuckyJam

    4:50 Does it mean that if I move to the UK with skilled worker visa, I will have to pay 6 months upfront? Or having a new job will be considered as a job and I will have to pay only 5 weeks upfront?
    Thanks for video, it's really useful!

    • @MonicaXGuan

      Usually a new job is fine! They might require you to provide your work contract
