Can you add some meta tags in your search? I've been looking for some S13 hatch photos :D and the etsy link isn't working

Larry, you're dropping dope content so often I had to take PTO. I appreciate all your content. Will be picking up some of your images. 🤙🏿
WaZz uP
Hey Larry, the etsy shop linked in the description is down. Do you have any idea when it will be back?
The N1 was also painted this shade of white as it was the lightest paint (least amount of coats) available for the cars
Nissan was playing 4D chess way back when 😂😂
Mitsubishi Evo RS comes to mind. They do the same thing
The difference in materials used (aluminium, steel, composites) led to the white paint discolouring at different rates, so they need painting sooner.
someone around has a special ordered one in bl0
White is the lightest and cheapest color. Worked out great for nissan....
I just wanna clear up the N1 reason. Back in the day the Super Taikyu or Super Endurance race series in Japan was called N1 Super Taikyu. It is a race for N class cars. This means production class. So those options Andrew mentions being a factory option from Nissan and not Nismo is because the cars had to come straight from the factory. The N1 Endurance series ran from 1991 to 1995. It was changed to Super N1 Taikyu Series until 2005 and these days it is just called the Super Taikyu Series which runs multiple classes. So if you wanna know more just google those keywords.
I don’t get it. So the N1 is just bone stock? 😂
@@Sunburnae92 Pretty much. Look up the old Group N specs. If I remember ECU and suspension was free as was cooling systems and safety cage etc. These are rare because they were built in limited numbers and most were used in racing so to find an original N1 for the street is pretty rare.
That’s pretty much what he said in the video
@@piefliesdid you learn nothing in addition from this post ?
The automotive history being recorded by Larry is an honour to experience in real time.. Thank you Larry.
Wow Larry such epic footage! So cool to film and be a part of the GTR scene in Australia. Thanks for the amazing video 🔥
This era of car history is/was so cool.
Visited Aus (Sydney and Melbourne) back in 2017.... Cannot believe I never got the opportunity to experience the car culture during that visit. Biggest regret 😢
A few of these dealers didn't know what they had. When the R32 first came over, Japanese Car Classic sold a few N1's for 50-60k 😂😂😂
Turns out the Super Taikyu series was previously called the Super N1 Taikyu Series, so that is probably where it's from.
Hats off to those who keep these historic cars in great condition. It takes so much money and time, on top of being an "enthusiast". Keep it going lads
I’ve always preferred the 33 to the 34, but hot damn that 34 with the black nismo wheels might be one of the prettiest cars I’ve ever see
Shout out to Mine's. Yashio Factory, RWB, Mine's, Top Secret...there's so many amazing boutique garages from Japan.
There is another N1 in the Nissan range was the JN15 Nissan Pulsar VZ-R N1. Which is another rare collection. Surprise, surprise Australia has a few of them.
Yep, Mark Rogers has one surprised it wasn't mentioned in this video
I’m from the Uk and we’ve had these cars since the 90’s unlike the US who have only recently seen these on their shores they are also responsible for the crazy price hike, which for a skyline owner ain’t too bad but what Australia has done for this brand is immense you guys are the leaders in tuning and owning GTRs salute
Yeah we hate it too I’m sorry my guy but I agree bro the Aussies know got to get down with any combustion engine 😂🤟🏼
This video is absolute Gold to prove the point.
N1 is for group N racing locally in Japan. It's basically group A, with same tuning allowances but different racing style
I actually got taken around mt panorama in the r32 n1 when we had 3 N1 gtrs together for the first time almost ever. It was such a unbelievable experience
One dude owns the trio of n1s, the 32,33 and 34. Very nice guy
came outa school turning my nose up at the cheap GTST versions that you could pick up for less than $20k well flogged. the real skylines were the GTRs that commanded $30k - $40k you just couldn't afford
Same, I missed the boat by about 5 years (only 26 currently). Although, I’m selling off all of my current vehicles with plans to buy a 32 GTR.
@@izzy031096 the 32 was the best 👍
Imagine still being around in a time where manufacturers were over engineering absolute monsters like this, no expense spared absolute bomb proof rockets, Japan truly knew what the fuck was going on back in the 80s/90s, really impressive to see
i used to chat to the guy who owns these on skylines australia back in like 2012 haha. so much info in those old forums
This was an incredible car collection to see, thank you for the guys who provided Larry with the set to film, learned a lot. Australian car culture is so under rated to the JDM car scene.
the skyline saga was so classified.. nissan nailed it for collectors..
Now i want to go back to all the hot version videos and see which ones were potentially N1 from tuners
Thank you Larry for bringing us these videos, epic collections etc.. 🤙
The videos are the reason why we can't afford them or paying a ridiculous price but it's a great video tho not gnl.
Won a drag day with a friend's N1 r33 broke the 3rd gear in 2nd rece then went on to win fastest time for the day. 9 second quarter miles on standard fuel. What a beast.
This was epic, respect 🙏🙇♂️
@1:00 Love how you put Eddy Wally in to your video, he's a legend.
So cool. Incredible collection
Best-R in Japan had one with 10km on the clock. I almost fell over when I realised what I was looking at. Also worth noting that the parcel shelf is different on the N1 with no speaker cut outs or wiper assembly/surround.
Great video Larry.
What an amazing video! Gotta love Andrew! Thanks for the detailed video, Larry!
I've known about these for years, admittedly only because there was an in depth feature on 'em in a local New Zealand car magazine. I never knew about the rear windscreen, thanks!
🌴😎💯
I always assumed "N1" was derived from the N1 Endurance Championship in Japan that has since been renamed Super Taikyu.
this is a special video, well done!
Just when you think you have "heard" about all of the GT-R models out there .....😅 super informative and awesome footage either way Larry . Thank you for the excellent content, per usual.
Another epic video. Thanks bro.
Such a great opportunity ❤ Love the history!
I thought i was a gtr nerd, my dad owned a 280z and my mom had a 510, so inherently i grew to love the skyline as the top dog, I thought even knowing about the rare z tunes that were bought back, but i never even heard of n1, this collection is more interesting/impressive than any super car collector, nissan for life🤟🏼 also the word nissan means 23 in japanese, which is the number they used as their first race car
Such a cool video mate. I have been following Motive since they made dvd's and own many of them. The history in Australia they have been amongst it all.
Its amazing how big GTR's are becoming huge in the states these days. In the first first fast n furious movie the yellow R33gtr was my favourite.
Having modified and owned many gtst and gtt I never had the cash free to get a gtr at the time. We call the R33 'A boat' in Australia. We just love them.
When you get time checkout Gibson Motorsport and do a video on them. Your viewers will love it.
Enjoying watching from Australia.
My memories of N1 GTRs are seeing the Targa Tasmania races on tv which they always did well
So cool! Id never heard of the n1's!
Mind blowing!!!
Them damn down under boys get *down*
Great video and happy belated birthday 🎉
Thank you!! 😊
i love how andrew goes 10 years ago in 2002 hahaha
Sick!
Beautiful collection
Do a Thailand series
Amazing content man☺mr hawkins knows his s##t when it comes 2 GTRs loving watching his channel motive video😊
Thanks for the knowledge
The R34 is such an awesome car.
My 33 has no rear wiper and didn’t have from factory. It was optional. Not just the glass. The stalk of course is different too
makes me want to go to the event next year
The rear spats on the 32 are the most attractive visual cue on the N1. It flows the skirts perfectly and everyone has the skirts but nobody has the spats. No idea why theirs repros of all the aero but the spats from Nissan.
there are copies, they're just not as mass produced
Happy to own side skirts and the spats on my R32 GTR
@@bnr_jan I just replaced my n1 skirts with new ones and bought a set of spats for the new paint job on mine. Just couldn’t believe how expensive spats are lol
Larry for President! Always good vids.
"a skyline in every driveway"
I had that set in GranTurismo4, either new or 10 mile examples
This dude and his Skyline knowledge!! (Mind blown every time he talks).
I believe that Jason and John White won the 2005 Targa Tasmania in an R34 GT-R N1 (had the carbon bonnet). That was the first time that I'd heard of an N1.
Thats sick, didnt know that and ive been a fan of the whites and targa in general for a while now..
Stoked for 2024 though
They had 2 of them other used to follow around in case other broke to pinch parts off and tow spare back that thing was a piece of art insane bit of gear
@KurtBrewer333 And youre sure they were both N1's? kind of insane if true.. i guess they were just and old nissan back then but still 🤯
@@alexcowboi6984 not sure about the other but we’re pretty much identical
@KurtBrewer333 Thats sick, wonder what happened to them 🤔
BooM Some one please drop the mic! I'll never get to see these gems in the flesh so... TY LC and to all involved (Especially the owner) to show us this amazing bit of car history and culture.
Thanks, very interesting. I'd heard of N1's but I was completely ignorant to any of the story. 👍
Is the Pulsar Vz-R N1 the only non skyline N1 that nissan made? Or are there other models with the N1 moniker
Hey Matt where did you bought your all season trunk mat
Super cool. I'd like to see a reaction/comment video from Tommy on this.
Always loved the N1's! They have all the nice parts that nissan could offer.
My '95 R33 GTR V-spec is quite special aswell. Not because it is spark silver, or because it's a januari 1995 S1 But because it came with a passenger airbag from the factory (wich is really hard to find on 95's but became standard on S2 96 models) and it doesn't have the rear wiper, also from the factory.😊 i went through the register and from memory there are like 2 or 3 of them made this way in this exact spec. I had no idea when i bought it in 2010.😂 and i don't know if the others still excist today.
v spec II n1 r32 is and will be my dream car forever. americans may not know about them but up in canada we sure as hell know.
LMAO the Wayne's World refernce. Spot on.

I've seen an N1 S13 in Japan.... I have pictures of it from Miracle XBar.... At least the S13 was stripped and added rigidity via welds.
This is great stuff. Is there a Z-Tune at the GT-R Festival?
Two of them in 2019 th-cam.com/video/4_anbizdH4k/w-d-xo.html
Hey I've seen that guy on Mighty Car Mods!!! Hell yeah!
The Holy Grail of Motorsports!!! 😍😍😍😍😍💥👌🏻🤙🏻
The Ausies having all these GTR's is criminal
How so?
@@satchguy It was a joke not to be over analyzed
im drooling
So freaking coool! White is boss!
Im not drooling.. your drooling!
Phenomenal collection of GTRs! Wow. But the ultimate GTR for me is the R33 Nismo 400R.
I drove N1 GTR 34 once in Gran Turismo 4🥰
JAF N1/N2/N3 are regulations valid in Japan used in national/domestic race events. These regulations can be found on Japan Automobile Federation web for 2022 or in "Yellow Book" called JAF Domestic Competition Vehicle Regulations. These are issued every year. Each year there are some changes for example until 1990 side exhausts were allowed (1990 300km Sendai Hi-land #26 Diesel Kiki GTR), until 1992 side mirrors could be replaced, 1993 air-jack systems could be installed and so on.
Wonder if we can find a Japanese worker mech etc… that knew more about these N1
These N1 is all freaking confusing
Not too confusing. They are race spec versions of the consumer cars. I remember Mitsubishi making a version of the evo 8 that had no at, no radio, crank windows... you don't hear much about that car either. They're just rare so most people never hear about them. I'm sure there are more cars that have a stripped down model that was meant to be a racecar for the street.
@@brandondeel3567not only evo 8, all evos had an RS Version except for the x
Yeah if I had the chance , I’d just get a 400R instead
Oh there were actually an RS version for X. My bad 😅
@@vetlogmobaho703And Suby’s had RA versions with no AC, lighter body etc
seeing eddy wally in a larry chen video . wauw , rofll
Missing the one of one N1 R1 though haha. That just changed hands and is in Sydney.
ANDREW FIGJAM HAWKINS 😂
He's explaining this like everyone knows. Why is the headlight worth more than some of the cars? What's different about them?
Not mentioned here, but I'm pretty sure the coat of painter is thinner, than a standard GTR, to save weight
For anyone wondering where the "N1" name came from it's Group N racing. Think Group A but way less modified.
5:35 On the Nismo R32 GTR also has no hole for the rear window.
I can tell you that Nissan Motorsport does use secret sauce My Stanza rally car used works brakes rear axle assembly steering gear etc and for instance the steering gear looks stock but is made from some very special steels, Brake disks on later models like Skylines were made by AP racing but Nissan supplied the billets that were used to manufacture the Brake disks when AP racing manufactured them.
The works Struts I ran had very special front hub bearings that had etched markings on the bearings not stamped like normal bearings and were designed to be run at 110 NM of preload certainly not your average tapered wheel bearings those ones.
The Rear axle bearings were specials basically like double sided Front inner bearings in a common one piece housing again etched numbers and the bearing retainers were twice as long as normal bearing retainers, The Differential housings Live Axle H 190 had baffle plates to keep diff oil from running away into the outside of the axle housings in long high G turns the Axle tube sections of the Diff housings had 3.5 mm steel machined sleeves pressed into the Differential tube sections all to strengthen for rally use.
Diff centres were also specials and crown wheels and pinions also were specials and better than sports option parts.
Alternators were specials, Turbo models are also custom hand built special Turbos such as the Bluebird Turbos made for the Safari rally in Kenya and with a life expectancy of one year of competition use.
Going back to the early Nissan KP 710 rally cars they used special quite heavy siamese blocks , The Nissan FIA SOHC Cylinder heads used on the L series four cylinders are also quite special the rocker arm adjusters are a finer thread than production models for easier closer tolerance valve clearance adjustments, Nissan really did make some very special components for use by the Factory Teams across the world.
I also had something that Nissan themselves do not have in their factory Race and rally Car Museum in Japan since sold and that was a Nissan PB210, Looks like a 120Y four door with an LJ torana style longer nose but with an LZtTwin cam engine at 1595 cc with up to 230 Hp depending on what events they were used in based on the Nissan LZ 14 Formula Pacific engines and that particular car was driven by Factory Nissan driver Sheka Mehta from Kenya in the Australian Southern Cross rally based out of Port Macquarie.
So because so much of the gear used in my Cars was used by the actual Factory teams and supplied by Nissan Motorsport Australia when run by Howard Marsden and my later purchase of a Stanza Liftback Coupe was from Geroge Fury as it was his personal car and prior to that was Howards personal car when at Rallies around the country I had some useful contacts to obtain the right parts literally as used by the Factory team itself.
I suppose it is like the Holden Motorsport Cars where things like on the line the body shells used for racing teams had twice as many spot welds in certain places compared to normal road cars actually done on the production line.
I still have for instance the full factory build manuals for the Escort BDA MK 2 rally cars as back in the Day when Colin Bond ran the Cars I was involved in escort rally cars also, And every factory has some sort of "Secret sauce" I have been lucky enough to be privy to some of that insider information
That is the type of show that would damage me is such a good way. One of my all time favorite production vehicles is the 34. I would drive either all day long.
someone remind andrew that 2002 isnt 10 years ago hahahaha
so its like the stripped out version like the the Lancer evolution RS. its comes with a steel rims from factory. or a porsche carrera RS
Thumbnail picture looks straight out of Gran Turismo 7!
I have sr20 n1 cams.. 😂 That's as close as I can get
The R32 Vspec ll was one of my all time favorite model I that tuned and raced when Gran Turismo first launched in 97’. Nissan does a lot of testing in the Nurburing race track, chances that N1 might stand for the tuning for that specific track, just one of my guessing.
The 34 was sold in Nür spec. Don't know the details though.
The Aussies do motorsports right down under!
Had to refer back to this video because i think ive found an r33 series 1 n1 listed for $17k usd. Waiting to hear back from the owner to confirm VIN. Thats absurd if its legit right..? Or is the series 1 that much less valuable? Theyre still 1 of 55 if im not mistaken.
@tommyfyeah be watching this like “dude I got all of them” 😂
I have a love hate relationship with these cars. I had a R33 GTST that i loved. Homeland security confinscated it. Still makes me sad 10 years later.
Why was your car such a menace? 😂😂
About time a video like this was made. Also if someone wants to throw me $250k for my R32 N1, lemme see that briefcase haha.
Aussies really love their Gee Dee Ahs... 😁😎🤟
Best GTR scene in the world there in aussie
