It's clear the Australians adopted the GT-R and RB26 as their own. While one can argue there are better balanced GT-R's out of Japan (Built By Legends and the respective shops involved comes to mind), nobody comes close to these dudes when it comes to speed and power. Much respect to 'Straya from a Texas-based R32 GT-R owner.

It was natural progression to big fast street drag cars because that style of car suits Australian roads very well.
We built the fastest Group A cars back in 91-92 and now have the quickest time attack GT-Rs, tarmac rally GT-Rs and generally all round street cars GT-Rs. We've mastered them all here. "Balanced: is often a JDM fan way of excusing why it's slow. You can make 800whp, run 9s and do laps in an all rounder very easily. Japanese tuners tend to be much more conservative these days.
One point I wanted to note, the "balance" and "response" that has made tuning companies like Mines famous in videos. Is all down to aftermarket/custom diff ratio. They are hella short which makes the car rev fast. I have a MKIV Supra with a 3.77 diff instead of the 6 speed 3.27 diff, and it revs super fast and comes on to boost super quick... It's now "The Ultimate Response Machine!" Ha ha ha

They had to bolt the differential directly to the roll cage because without the extra strength, the car made so much power the differential literally ripped the floor off the car. Think about that for a minute The numbers are insane. Four 2600cc injectors *per cylinder*. This could well be the ultimate R32, I don't know how they're gonna top this

I expect it still gets some air from other places of the engine bay or underneath the car. I think if they were to drive long distances on the high way it would become a problem but not drag racing where you cool it off between runs. Thus the cooling capacity of the ice alone is sufficient.
Water to air intercoolers fins are all enclosed, the water going over the fins is what does the cooling, it doesn't need any airflow going through it from the outside.

If a 1000hp and high torque will break awd cars loose on the road at like 80mph, that awd is DEF working its ass off for traction in the deep 2000hp range no doubt
These huge power drag GTRs dont typically have active 4wd, they lock the amount of front torque distribution in for the whole run by loading the 4wd clutch with a specific amount of hydraulic pressure.
Alpha GTRs are using VR 4.3L engines. This one is an RB32. The VRs are new tech while these are like 20ish years old. Both engines are beautiful though.
@@EZWINR33 The only thing 25 yrs old is the RB26 cylinder head design. The Nitto 3.2 is newer than ther r35. And yes AMS are in the 6s but this is quicker 6.37
It made 2500hp before, it makes more now, pretty sure they were using nitrous to get the 6.3 it ran before, since then they have upgraded the turbo and as he said it's done a PB to the 330.

I think the AWD on GTR’s is a separate unit the centre of the car, with shafts going from that to the front and rear diffs.
