People with nice cars like the 400R should daily them. For the sole fact that myself and many other people would like to see them IRL and the people that own the car should experience the car
Definitely yes! But I would be choosing a time and a road twice... Every time on my motorbike, when I overtake expensive rides in a traffic jam I do a double or maybe a triple check. But unfortunately not everybody do...
Cars are meant to be driven regardless of price tag or rarity. That’s why they were produced anyway. The ones that were meant to be history are cars like the R390 and the LM which stayed with the company, for history’s sake
And ironically, imo, many of the persons who can afford to buy these beasts, may drive them once a yr if so much. They don't fully appreciate what they have
Any car should be driven daily and be properly Maintained, Not showroom queen.. You buy the car to be driven and enjoyed. not to be parked. At this age, Parts of these Cars should still continued to be made from a small company. Those who owns these cars should continue to support those small companies that continue to make these parts. I know I would. That's what makes preservation of true classic cars as history. We still have the parts available for the wear and tear to specs with upgrade technology.
Then you have to worry about someone running into your rare car. I feel you on the being driven part, but if it was a really rare car, I'd rather not risk damaging it because some other moron didn't check his blind spots
@@douggoins2960then you never get to enjoy it. With your mentality, you’d never leave your house for fear of dying, while staying inside your house and missing out on the experience of living. Same thing as not driving a driver’s car for fear of damaging it. You’re missing the point of it all.
That car was made to be driven and enjoyed. Yes its a historical piece in Japanese automotive history but if i owned that car id daily drive it and enjoy the essence of it. Big fan of nissan right here , i even own a nissan but not a skyline unfortunately
The people on the internet that always say that they'd daily cars like this or drive them hard everywhere really need look at it from a different perspective. Think about it. There's 40 on planet earth *best case scenario* and parts are exceedingly expensive and scarce. Granted if I had the money I'd drive it around very occasionally but knowing the poor standard of driving on todays roads across the globe, would you want to risk it? Sure a handful of times and at low traffic times of day, but the more you use it the more likely you're going to find yourself in a situation where something terrible could possibly happen. It's fine to say they'd daily it when they don't own one but if they'd spent years and years working as hard as they could to buy their extremely rare $2 million dream car, I think they'd think twice about potentially getting rear ended in traffic. I personally would never let someone tell me how I should use my hard earned possessions. Just a hot take.
Absolutely agree. I was building my Silvia for 7 years track/daily driving it the same time. But after the final paintwork, when in the end got my perfect dream car...I was afraid to drive it on public roads. And its not only the question of costliness. It's not a new car and the most of parts are just unavailable. So it definitely makes sense to keep one for your ego and another one to get your emotions unleashed.
I hate this nonsense, its stupid wasteful and worthless, for 2 mill u can buy an r31,r32,r33,r34,r35 and still have hundreds of thousands left over to modify, break, and fix them all. Some shitbox that has a pathetic 400hp for 2 million? Really? Thats bugatti money, pagani money, mclaren money, f ck man thats a fully build world record r35 money.
@styleemusic So true! But sometimes I think about the inflation ratio... When the Veyron came out, it was the first hypercar to beat 1M price. But nowadays it looks like there's no Bugatti for these money... just a Skyline, old but gold😂
