@@DlSCS Acura RDX. Oil and filter for the GTR and RDX cost basically the same. If you get OEM brake rotors and pads, yes it’s very expensive. But I have not needed that service done. Front and rear differential fluid was about $300 and I did that myself. Power steering fluid was less than $100. Transmission service was the most expensive, but I did that myself too and it’s not something you do that often.

I own a 2007 R35 and have had it for years. It literally never misses a beat and it has been a daily driver for 2 years. So as long as you do the basic upgrades and service it on time . They last! Currently 117k kms on the clock and no sign of anything wearing out.
Have only had to change the rotors, pads and replace all the underbody bolts as stated in the vjdeo.

I'm located in Chicago - My car never gave me any major problems at all, and i did own 911 turbo before. I did 63k trans- stage 1 - just a piece of mind. car has been rock solid, just regular Maintenace, I who ever tells you that GTR is an expensive car to own, they never owned one! - it gets expensive IF you mod it heavy! just few bolt-ons with tune , still on pump gas is plenty of fun. Owned mine for about 4 years now. And dont let people tell you not to buy one! that is overrated, etc. buy what you love! cheers!

I broke the second gear shift fork on one. After they pulled a piece of metal the size of my thumb out of the gearbox it continued to shift fine. When I traded it in it was sold with an inspection that could not detect the broken shift fork and sold as “never launched” on the add by the dealer. I disclosed both the broken shift fork and the hundred times I launched it. In other words, don’t trust inspections and dealers/owners, just accept it’s been driven hard and continue to drive it the same.

There are only 934 Australian Delivered R35s from 2009 to 2023 in total according to GTR Registry. The rest are grey imports (probably about 1000 ?) & you should really take care if buying an import. I agree, I like the look of the normal r35 over the nismo. Id only get the nismo just for the sake of it being a nismo, and ofc if I was rich becuase they’re like double the price of a normal one

Did you mention that when they go for s service, is that Nissan always had the ability for the these to show you the acceĺertion etc, but knowing the but the dealers can tell whether or not if has been on a track or someone driving on the road doing illegal drag races. .. so I'd be taking mine to a dealer first

My father in law bought his original oz delivered r32 - because he was smart and wanted the fastest car available and because he was very tall and couldnt get in a ferrari. Very little room in the back seat but more than an sc430

Have had 2 of these now, the first being one of the first series delivered in Australia one of the major issues I experienced was with the differential and being difficult to pull out of a tight spot every morning in reverse, then ended up with a 2013 with the fog lights, this was much better, but again, issues with servicing, cost of parts, insurance was pretty high also, considering my other vehicles, but overall awesome vehicle, never had any real issues with it other then people frothing over it, so I sold it and am now more then happy with my M3 touring, as it suits our family needs, and my mtb and is quicker too. ;-)

@@abrakadabraangelov1829 Best way ring a nissan dealer for servicing for costs you'll see, issues, trans missing gears after servicing, coils going off causing misfire, the diff as mentioned, car was stock, early model. have owned two, the later one was much better, but again just not practical for what it ended up being.

IRL though not in my budget at this time. I can afford to run my EV off my solar panels thou. I'll keep investing my pennies.
Note e-power Nismo S a contender as well (your smile sells).
Anyway, going for a Sunday drive tomorrow (even thou it will be Monday).

I read that the ongoing maintenance costs are brutal. Particularly the 100k km plasma bore replacement price.
That said amamzing depreciation offsets it.
Been in a r35 with tune and midpipe, its insanely fast, like you dont have the reaction time to deal with it fast.

In terms of servicing cost, probably no different from (or maybe cheaper than) european shitcars.
The cost of the ATF for my Hyundai Van is just as expensive as the DCT fluid

When it comes out, it kicks all the asses: 911, lambo, 430 you name it. but over the not very long time, the 911 has become so much faster with so much less power and other super quick sports cars. Dont get me wrong it is still a great car in today's standard but that gearbox is a ticking bomb
