Talli Faye, I have a dish just like yours. Actually it was my Mama's. She always put her banana pudding in that dish. Her's was always so good and the thing was, she never measured a thing. Whether she was making banana pudding, chocolate pie, coconut pie or butterscotch pie, she just dumped it all in the pot and cooked it. Turned out perfect every time. I have to measure.... I can't help it. I don't have the confidence to just dump it in. Thank you for a great video.

I just found your channel and I’m so glad I did! It reminds me of sitting on a stool next to my grammy in the kitchen when I was little bitty, watching her fry okra or mix up a meatloaf or stir some red eye gravy. Her homemade banana pudding was my favorite, even more than her German chocolate cake. I’m grown now and pulling in a garden of my own, and I’d give anything to have her sitting in the kitchen next to me now, letting me do all the work for once and show her just how much she taught me. Ms. Talli, my mom topped her pudding with a whipped meringue made with the egg whites and sugar. She would turn the bowl upside down to judge the consistency. If it stuck to the bowl, she would put it on top of the pudding making sure the sides were silled to the bowl then she'd put it in the oven until the meringue was a golden brown. A nice top for the pudding.

What do you do with your egg whites..I usually make a meringue topping...we've been eating this banana pudding for better than 50 yrs...love it..makes a pretty dish...I personally think it tastes better the next day or a midnight snack..lol
