Sweet milk. Wow ! I haven't heard that word in a long time 😊. My daddy's mama always called it sweet milk. Thanks for sharing this recipe, it looks yummy.
This brings about so many good memories of what my mom used to do in the kitchen as a dessert for us I like the golden raisins so I use those instead thanks for sharing you always do your best😊
Oh this looks so good. If you like raisins, you'd love my family's old-fashioned raisin cake. Unfortunately, Buzz probably wouldn't because it has lots of raisins in it. Looking at your bread pudding reminds me of that cake. You're always making the best foods ❤
Now I live in s ga . I made this a church for lunch and believe it or not,no one had ever made this or heard of it ,wow I was so surprised ! But they ate it all up , it was so good ❤❤❤❤
My mother made the best bread pudding. I love raisins in it (my little sister didn't like it raisins in it). Mom made her chocolate sauce, coco, sugar and milk to spoon on top. I really liked a nutmeg sauce on mine.
I have always made my Dad's bread pudding recipe, very close to your recipe. I am ready to put mine in the oven right now. Just a side note, I watch a youtube channel called backyard chef, he is from the north of England, and many of his recipes are similar to what I grew up on, being ancestors were mainly from north England and Scotland. He makes a bread pudding that he said the Beatles loved. Just like your recipe, and many others, but it is called Wet Nellie. I just love the names that the British have for food. Thought you would get a kick out of Wet Nellie.
BAHAHAHAHA!!🤣🤣♥️♥️ I love it!… I love pretty much any bread puddings!… I just grew up watching my moma make it like this and I love doing anything in the kitchen that keeps her with me ♥️😇♥️… Priceless memories 🥰
@@bettymace7249 I know…we’ve just always distinguished between whole milk and buttermilk as “sweet” or “butter” lol… I try to check up on myself about saying it!!… Old habits I guess 🥰
The reason I asked about sweet milk is because growing up in dairy country, it meant milk straight from the cow, preferably still warm, definitely not processed in anyway. To me it tastes like gamey milk, don't like it. Now that I live down south sweet milk means condensed milk. Interesting how different parts of the country use words differently
My dad always called it light bread cause we from Texas too So i still call it light bread And we love dog ticks ( i mean raisins ) but my sister hates them Edit : Ms. Talli Faye do you have a biscuit receipt if you would can you please share it too
You got my attention on this one Ms. Talli! Few desserts can ever get my attention like Banana Pudd’n & Bread Pudd’n!
Except maybe my Mama’s BlackBerry Cobbler, with a healthy scoop of Blue Bell
Nothing better than eating together with family
Easy and looks so delicious 😋!

That is so true!… I try to check up on myself about saying sweet milk as to not confuse folks…
Ever make this with left over pancakes instead of bread? Works great and you don't waste food.
I’ve never had bread pudding before. I will make it coz it looks really good.
@@pamsharp6314 it’s definitely an old time dish!.. I hope you like it!.. we love it 😊
Hey friends 🤗 bread 🍞 pudd n mini love ❤️
Sweetmilk, to me (from Texas) meant "regular" milk that wasn't buttermilk, non-fat milk, evaporated milk or sweetened condensed milk.
WooHoo!!.. There’s me a Texas girl!🤣♥️🥰
Another good spice instead of cinnamon is cardamom with chopped almonds in place of raisins. Swedish style.
Mr. Buzz sure is a picky eater! 😂😂😂
He can't be to picky , have you seen the size of him 🤣
Just kiddin
