19:30 That Elcor... it was he, responsible for all these mods, who improved the trilogy of Mass Effect from very awesome to perfect.
I'm absolutely here for the Emily Wong mod, once they get voice acting I might actually grab the remaster trilogy just for that.
I did test it out last night, it works great, and they don't ever bring up Diana ever again. I would like for them to get someone who sounds like Emily, as I don't think they can get her old voice actress, but this mod is a must have if you liked Emily and wanted her in the 3rd game.
@@commanderelite Unfortunately the voice actress for Emily Wong is under SAG, and the process for hiring someone through SAG is very difficult unless you have an understanding of the legality around it. It's a shame as many of us would've loved to pursue that

If you have the original me3, the take earth back mod has been available for a few years now. There used to be a better dreams mod as well, the the modder removed it.

Thank you! You only see the advert when you first arrive at the Citadel, but after that it is replaced by more appropriate adverts. In effect, it's an easter egg and doesn't overwhelm the main plot :)
I'm speechless. Every single person who was/is involved in any of these mods is incredible, and should be immensely proud of themselves for what they've achieved.
It was a joy to see so many people love what we've worked on. Modding can be quite a solitary hobby at times, and often stressful, so seeing the love in the comments section has really bolstered our spirits

The Next Mass Effect may be eons away, but holy cow guys, what you´re doing here is one hell of a (another) reason to go through og trilogy again. Can´t wait for final version of what is in the works, the dream sequence looks stunning.

nicely done, loved the ELCOR opening and ending haha, that was a nice laugh, but everything you do regardless is amazing
Actually seeing all the races on taking Earth makes it so much better. And the dream sequences, holy fam. Will we see Volus bombers, batarians, and the rest of the races? (sadge I can't play Elcor shepard)
If you use Take Earth Back now then you'll see all the races, as well as the volus flotilla during one sequence. With the prototype content we're still drafting what we're going to show, so almost anything is on the cards.
@@masseffectmods4599 can you put the take earth back mod on Xbox because I was fine with the original in the game but the mod adds so much and I would want this mod for now on in my playthroughs

You know the mass effect modding community is really goddamn underrated. Like they work just as hard as the Skyrim and Fallout modders. I’m not saying they don’t work hard as well but I feel like way to much spotlight is put on them. Take this opinion with a grain of salt I have no idea what it’s like to mod video games just that it takes a lot of time and effort something I ultimately respect modders for being able to do especially when a majority of this will most likely be free hell I wish I could give these people money since this shit is incredible
It does feel that way sometimes, but that's probably because of the sheer abundance of Bethesda game mods and the stranglehold they've had on media attention. Sometimes our community gets a light shone upon it and it's wonderful when it happens, but we do have very nice fans who take the time to tell us how much they love our work. That is often all we need.
If you're keen to donate, then many modders have a paypal attached to their mods on NexusMods, so you can donate there if you want :)

I am holding of LE, as I felt it had nothing to offer the original trio did not. As HD Textures and FX was already made for it. But All these mods will make me play through it all once again in the future. For now I am happy with the original, but once the modding make LE get close to what my modded OT has. I will once again go through the adventure again.
The benefit of waiting to play Legendary Edition is that the longer you wait, the more impressive mods you'll have to install. As a mod maker we don't always feel the benefit of using mods as we're too busy just making them, so I envy you and your future playthrough :D

@@faithstevens9666 Thank you! And we're still deciding how to release the tease TEB content. It's possible that we'll add it to the main TEB mod but add toggles so people can pick and choose what happens, but as mod leader I kind of favour making it a separate release. It's still in its very early stages, so we'll see how the experiments go and how our design phase goes.
@@masseffectmods4599 Whichever is easier for you and your team 🙂. More scenes that show off your war assets in the end were probably the absolute number one thing I wish was in the game alongside better dialogue consistency. So like, I'm here for whatever way you guys want to implement it 😁.

i have 1 question, ME1 diversification project de-washes out just the look of the Citadel, or the whole game is affected by those color adjustments? which are so amazing, it makes the game look very similar to the original Mass Effect
It's mostly MELLO doing that. The footage was recorded using MELLO with the bloom and motion blur turned on. That mod affects the whole game.

It's incredible, really. The Retake Earth movement in 2012 obviously gave us the Extended Cut, but in some ways the modding scene was the best thing to erupt from that fan outcry. So much dedication and creativity has been poured into improving these games, and for many years the community helped keep the games alive.

Did you catch the announcement trailer of the Beyond the Relays mod? It’s not a mod for mass effect the games but it’s a mass effect mod for a different game called Stellaris.

What the Modding community has done for these games so far is nothing short of breathtaking, Yet I hate myself because I don't think I'm ever gonna get to experience these mods. I have a PC but I don't know if it's going to be strong enough to run all of these mods, plus I don't know the first thing about installing mods that doesn't involve using the Steam Workshop. I'm very illiterate when it comes to computers, that's why I'm a console peasant. But at least I can observe from afar.
The good thing is that setting up mods is pretty easy once you've got the Mass Effect Mod Manager and use nexusmods to download the mods through it. Also, our mods aren't going anywhere, so you can always return when you've got a more powerful PC to play Legendary Edition on. If you ever need help with installing mods, there are various discords you can go to such as ME3Tweaks or the public modding server
I am sooooo looking forward to the new dreams remake. As a Shrios-gamer, I can't wait to see what the modder does with that.
Dreams was one of those shocking moments for us when it turned up, as it came completely out of the blue and was so well constructed. I think almost all of us are keen to see what happens with it
We need the mod of Elcor Shepard where you can play the entire trilogy as an elcor and it needs to be fully voiced...
Bioware seriously needs to pay you guys. You are the ones making them more money cause modding keeps a game alive way longer than normal.
We'd be happy if they just included us in their N7 Day content from now on, like they do for streamers and others. :)
Loving the diversification project so far! I also love with the mods how I have a geth and quarian down in engineering post rannoch. Can you add a Batarian that hangs out on the ship too if you get the Batarians to help? Like he can be down in shuttle bay near where you can buy goods or something. The extra species is great
LE3 Diversification Project won't be touching the Normandy because that's pretty much the domain of EGM, but down the line Spectre Expansion Mod might include a few extra alien crew choices, but that's only a possibility for now :)

Is someone planned to do the VO for Emily Wong? If so, who?
Not really at the moment. Hopefully something can be done in the future, but at the time the it's the mesh only, but the mod does remove all mentions of Allers and replaces them with Emily where possible
What was the music at the start of the video. The description only has one song listed as used and it's definitely not it.
It's the start music from Mass Effect 1, it's recorded footage from in the game itself.

So many amazing mods, but Take Earth Back is my favorite. That's how the fight on Earth should have been from the start.

The Elcor team were many of those who worked on TEB and I have to highlight a few for their dedicated work on it - Mellin for his intensive testing, and Exkywor & Lunk for their incredible cutscene overhauls. Many others worked on the mod and their contributions were brilliant too, but those three vastly improved the mod.

Someday I wish the community would make some Fan made DLC to continue Andromeda's story like they did the custom missions in Mass Effect 3
Unfortunately the modding tools for Andromeda are in the very early stages, but who knows what will happen. The game deserves to have its modding scene grow like ours, as there are some wonderful modders in that community and the game itself is ripe for upgrading through mods.

These showcase videos are always a delight, the Mass Effect modding community is really full of talented and imaginative people.
Just a curiosity, is there a possibility that CEM might ever be ported to the LE? I just bought the LE and was wondering if I should hold on playing it, as I consider the mod a pivotal part in my playthroughs of the OT, if the mod is coming.

They are very different and they are not compatible. I suggest you go through their descriptions and see for yourself.
Its kind of a crime that theres no mod in-work to let you play as Elcor Shepard. Truly it would be the pinnacle of modding!
Funnily enough, elcor can use human animations (which I discovered by accident while modding LE3DP), so perhaps someday someone will make it as a meme mod or something :)

Has there been an update on Caleston Restored? Its been over a year and there's been no update.
Caleston Restored is still in the pipeline, but the AI controversy awhile back and a few other things have led to it being set aside for a time to work on Hot Labs Restored. Partly because Hot Labs Restored was a great way to get used to recreating content, and partly so the mod leader can learn to code ways to make it simpler in the future. So it's still being worked on, it's just had a delay.
@@masseffectmods4599 Wow I had no idea. Thanks for the update. It's sad to see so many get up in arms over A.I when it's harming no one. On one hand I get it, if it was used to take away a VO's job but in this case and the case of many mods, it's being used for the fandom in a nonprofit way. The mod Jack's Shore Leave was terminated due to A.I controversy and that mod was great.

Expanded Galaxy Mod lets you invite your romance up to your cabin, which allows you do some of the things you suggested.
Now that's great you do mods, but it would be great that you can just do one update to either pc or Xbox and you sold it like such

I don't know for certain, but I do know that mod was for the original trilogy and then Legendary Edition happened, so it's likely been swallowed up by that. Many of us have ended up spending the past year just rebuilding things we'd already made
Question because I can't tell (haven't bought the Legendary Edition yet), is Caleston Restored a Legacy Mod or a Legendary Edition Mod?

Several! Though all the mods contained within this showcase are designed to work together, and certain mods (like the Diversification Projects) are designed to be consistent in their edits across games. These are huge projects, but early versions of them are out on NexusMods. You can find links to each mod in the description
Emily Wong Mod is great. Just need the VO and it'll be perfect. Wonder if they can get the original voice actor for her?
The original voice actress is a member of SAG, which means it's very, very difficult to hire her for a fan project but also very expensive.

NexusMods has all of the releases for download and a huge repository of ME mods to draw from. Sometimes when you download a mod you can add a donation through paypal. :)
The Caleston Restored makes me feel all kinds of things. Is there a release roadmap for it or is it still in early stages of development?
Both. We have planned to release a major part of the hub and its characters in the first release, along with a part of the main quest. Everything else will come in subsequent updates.
