I'm going to wish it out loud every year; it would be incredible to repeat the multiplayer maps or somehow cram them into Armax as selectable arenas. I know it's impossible.
Adding things to the Armax console is a very difficult, very frustrating process, which is why so few new things have been added to it. It's possible that someone could make repeatable N7 missions for the galaxy map, but I imagine you'd need to create some barebones alternate story for each to justify doing so.
@masseffectmods4599 Seriously, THANK YOU. Playing with the Diversity Project and the smaller immersive mods made me experience that same feeling of wonder I felt when I played Mass Effect for the first time. I can never go back to the vanilla experience again.
The children of rannoch look amazing! Got legendary edition on pc for just this kind of stuff. Cant wait to start a modded play through with stuff like diversication mods
Thanks and regards to the nodding community, because of them this game is still alive and real. I wish EA and Bioware should have to learn a lot of things from these guys. And Happy N7 day to everyone
We always found it a shame that they would never mention mods. They'll mention fan art, cosplayers and more on N7 Days, but mods? Never. A shame, but at least we know for the past few years our showcases have knocked it out of the park compared to what Bioware have done.
Diversification Project Team, yall amazing! Same for you guys, Children of Rannoch team! ^.^ A suggested situational cutscene for Take Back Earth. If you cure the Genophage and Saved the Rachni, I loved the idea of a scene where you see a Krogan and Turian fight back to back, and just as they're getting overwhelmed, Rachni tunnel up behind whatever reaper drones are in the scene, killing them similar to how that researcher in ME1 was killed by Rachni on Noveria. Then all three turn to keep fighting. Seeing ancestral enemies working together I think would be a really impactful scene. Granted, I still have to play through with the mod. So it, or something similar, might already be in there lol. Can't wait to see the updates next year!!
@@dirkbsilver9260 In many ways, modders would be best placed to look at what they're making and point out where it doesn't work with the established games/canon, or how small changes can vitally improve hubs and maps. Yes! What a great modding community! Awesome improvements and additions this year. When is TEB2 coming out? I've been waiting for it for about 2 years now, and I'm super pumped after experiencing what they have done so far in TEB1. Also, the future releases of LE3 Diversification and Specter Expansion mods seem awesome.
Thank you! When it comes to TEB2, there is no release date for it. The hope is that a first release will turn up by next N7 Day, but that is by no means certain. Creating new cutscenes is a difficult task, and will grow harder as improvements are attempted for the Hammer Attack portion of Earth (so far you've just seen stuff from before the Earth hub). So it's a "when it's ready" approach, but trust me when I say that those behind it cannot wait for it to be released into the wild.
Oh damn, I completely missed that it's the N7 day, good thing I was subscribed to your channel! Let's celebrate by playing some ME3MP! Or Andromeda MP!
True, it made it unique, but I bet there are a lot of people out there who'd love to just treat it as a normal mission after replaying it dozens of times :D
Mods like LE1DP, LE3DP, TEB, Armax Expnasion, and the not mentioned here MELLO, LEUITM, and LEUITM 2 could and should be in vanilla game, because while they significantly rework the game, it still feels like vanilla and like part of the game. If someone played with these mods without playing the vanilla game, I doubt anyone would notice it's not part of the main game because they are integrated so well.
I actually played the Legendary Edition of the first game for the first time this year, and lemme tell you: The rebalancing and refinement of the jank makes it the best way to play. I played with the community patch, too, and that only added flavour to my favourite of BioWare's titles. I may go through the Legendary Editions of 2 and 3 as well, but I'm busy with other things (including fellow BioWare classic, Dragon Age Origins). However, no matter what, once I've beaten them, I'll happily install some of these mods for added value. The ME community is one of the best RPG communities of all time with how much they find ways to add to gaming's best choice-driven adventure.
@@mando_dablord2646 I quite like them looking more alien than human. These ones seem closer to the original concept art mixed with some of the features from the Angara in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Even if you don't like their new faces you can control the opacity of their visors until you can just make out their eyes. I love the detail they put into every Quarians suit design, giving them as much personality and identity as Tali's.
@@smatt9132 I prefer them being faceless, leaves a lot to the imagination which feels more fun. Though the new clothing is pretty cool and makes the Quarians more unique instead of being a bunch of recolored ME1 Tali clones.
It baffles me how modders can just continue making content that feels like it's part of the game, especially when there's no official tools. Truly amazing
It's funny, but the ME community is really dedicated to making sure its mods feel compatible with the games they're for. There's a lot of quality control that isn't always present in other modded games.
That Kai Leng mod is awesome. He sounds menacing; as he always should have been. I maintain what we got in ME3 was nothing like how he was in Retribution and its so bad in vanilla that it borders on parody of the character.
He was a class character in Retribution. He could've been a great foil for Shepard, or at least, an interesting threat to take down during an assignment or mission. Ninjaboy was awful compared to what he could've been.
How is the new ambient and quest dialogue being made? I would really hope it's voiced by fans who are willing to contribute their voices rather than AI.
You know, I would really like to see of an improvement of animation like more flow and sync of the characters' bodies and many more like todays games. I don't know if it's possible, but it would be really cool if it is
While this is possible, animation mods require a lot of attention to get right and very few have any skill in animating meshes. The likelihood is that you won't see much of that.
Really cool to see the addition of new enemies and weapons. It reminded how I wanted to add new weapons and a new enemy for ME2 and ME3. Are these mods work in the LE ?
every time i try to get back into mass effect 3 you get make new stuff i like what is being done but my trigger finger to play 3 is driving me nuts the wait is killing me
After all these years. I'm surprised no modders ever proposed an ME3 mod that repairs the Normandy as you progress the main quest. Something to finally finish the retrofits by getting rid off all the cables on the ground and walls, the open bulkheads, etc so that by mid-game (after the Citadel coup, for instance), the ship is fully operationnal and doesn't look like a work in progress anymore.
I am also so sad that Diversification Project isnt compatible with PV. I love Scottina's work, but if i could rip out the level stuff (keeping the new cinematics they added and the outfit stuff) and go with DV i absolutely would. Some of the PV's outfits are AMAZING but DP does do everything PV but better, unfortunately it has the added content and outfits so it rlly fucks with what I want my game to be
The truth is that the mods have very different design philosophies, but also make sweeping edits of the game. Finding a way to bridge the two mods would take as much effort as it was to build these mods in the first place. It's a shame, but the two will likely never be compatible.
Is there an estimated time of release for Children of Rannoch for LE3? Getting in the mood to replay the trilogy again and would love to add the entire set to my mod list!
Shame that there are no Andromeda mods. I think it still deserves total overhaul and some redemption. After all - it's a big sandbox for ME fans to build from.
Yeah, the community could've fixed a lot of issues themselves for Andromeda. Unfortunately the game is running on Frostbite and I don't think there's any comprehensive modding tools for it unlike Unreal Engine so we're stuck with only surface level mods for Andromeda.
That is correct. Sadly the modding tools for ME:A are not very advanced, and the way the game is structured makes it very hard to edit. I'm not even sure if new text strings can be added yet. As such, there are few ways to make mods as complex as those we see for the trilogy. The trilogy toolset is very advanced, which has allowed us to do all this. Maybe someday the ME:A toolset will be too. Many of us hope it will.
I have an mod idea, through the war in ME3, you’ll see N7 human special forces through out the ship. The number of N7 soldiers increases by 1. Any ideas on how to do this, and make it work with the other mods?
Most (but not all) of the mods featured come from the Elcor Hamlet Appreciation Society, a team which the PEOM creator isn't part of. I'm sure he will create a cool trailer once PEOM is ready to return.
