No, Andromeda is still garbage in the same way that the Star Wars prequels still suck. Veilguard did not magically make Andromeda any better just because it's a worse game, kind of like how the Disney Star Wars trilogy being awful didn't magically fix the tone deaf writing and pacing of the prequel trilogy.
@@gigaatom I never thought I would defend Andromeda but here we are lol, as someone who has played both franchises to death, and played both games multiple times now, I can say with honesty that Veilguard is infinitely worse. Andromeda is the devs and writers trying to recreate the magic of the og mass effect without putting the work into actually build the relationships with companions, with a combat system that uses 3 abilities instead of 8 but improves up verticality in its level design, character models in the game are also wack but to its credit it never tries to retcon any of Shepard’s story. Veilguard on the other hand fundamentally changes, retcons and disrespects everything that made dragon age unique, with a combat system that has no substance and dumbs down the tactical combat from previous games, companions that make you cringe beyond belief with some of the worst written dialogue I have ever heard or seen in a video game, RPG mechanics that are downright laughable, and a wasted storyline about one of my favourite BioWare characters being Solas, who was sidelined in a game that should’ve been about him, and character models that are designed by people that don’t understand that humans, elves, dwarves and Qunari are different races and are not supposed to look like humans cosplaying. I could write paragraph after paragraph about everything wrong with the Veilguard but I have to save some for my critique of the game that I’ll be releasing soon. I respect you sharing your opinion and I would imagine you probably enjoyed playing veilguard more than Andromeda which is fair enough, but Andromeda pales in comparison to the amount of issues that Veilguard has, and make no mistake Andromeda is a disappointment to be sure but Veilguard frustrates me in a way that I can’t put into words lol 😂

Andromeda is the only Bioware game I only finished once. This list makes me actually wanna finish it again. Especially with slowly emerging news of ME5. Loved the combat, was super unimpressed with the story and Ryder as a character.

The modders made a valiant attempt to salvage the graphics in this game, but I just don't think there's much hope for it. Many of the faces still look too rubbery, puffy or fake. I eventually grew to like Andromeda based on gameplay alone (combat genuinely feels good), but I'll never be able to get past the awful character models. I can only play fem Ryder because male Ryder just looks ridiculous. I've spent hours messing with mods trying to get an interesting male Ryder... I finally gave up trying to fix him.

I think this game still is mainly because Andromeda actually has some good things about it and people hard defend it.. I ran a mod on Peebee and Cora years ago, but is a pain in the ass to run because you need to run frostbite in the background to activate them, I can say this game at launch on the xbox was a piece of broken shit, I had to reload so many times to get things to load in that were required trigger points to complete sections, I lashed out on xbox, receiving a warning I was violating terms of service when reporting every bug, neither EA not microsoft wanted them known, yet my rant over their focus on turning the entire crew into a bunch of queers was perfectly OK, just don't say whats broken! When buying games, forget consoles, the pc community offers mods and fixes to garbage, consoles, you just have to accept it!

All the bugs and glitches that happen with EA titles are never properly fixed and now I have people asking me how to resolve these issues with the main difference being I actually will respond because I have experienced many of these bugs as a player, so apparently I’m more helpful then their entire support team 😂 The modding community keeps many of these games alive, and I played Andromeda on console back in the day and man let’s just say I’m never going back! 😂🍻

The reception of this game is kinda sad, I never played it on release and only bought on sale years after and when I completed legendary edition. This game isn’t as good as the OT but I still believed it had potential to have a good trilogy and it’s obvious they were trying to make a trilogy for this series as well but with how everyone criticized this game they unfortunately pulled the plug for this game.
You know, I actually like vanila andromeda. I might pick it back up and try it with the mods, once I get through seventy other games I bought and havent played yet.

When the game was released I did not played too much with it and not finished the game. These mods sounds fun so maybe I will give another chance to the game. My issues mainly with mass effect is the strict story and I would liked to play a mass effect game where you play a no name chaarcter and be whatever you wish to. Play a race you like, make a custom one and get to the top. Sort of like Kenshi.

@@lordology4815 I do no have story driven rpgs nor sandbox games and to this day my favorite rpgs still BG2, ICWD1-2, Planescape Torment, Ultima. Still there are many here and there also good arpgs, point and click and adventure games. In mass effect the only thing I did not liked is the limited choice while it is a good to play a specific character I feel comfortable if I can play as a random person who may be or not important on the story. Some mmos in this case are good because let more freedom on what you can do and you are not a important for the story. Kenshi for example is a singleplayer game where whatever you do not really matters and if you die then another one "npc" died. You can be whatever you want and conquer all the land, be merchant, be warrior, live like a labourer or craftsman. In mass effect if they once make a game which not strictly limits your race, character that would be a nice move. If they can compensate the player with interesting companions, stories in the game and locations you remember.

the rigging in this game is just god awful. looking at people walking, standing idle or sitting down, it looks like their bones are trying to pop out of their bodies. if they could fix that, it would help a lot.
Great list. I play with some of the mods you've mentioned but I also play with WeMod, which covers a lot already. Luckily Frosty and WeMod work well together.
Unfortunately that’s not something mods can change, I personally prefer og mass effect and dragon age having 8-10 ability slots but that’s just my opinion.

@@travishipp4972 so you can have more skills at the start of your playthrough to simulate a ‘new game plus’ type of save as mentioned in the video, also it allows you to reach max level without having to do any side quests, though the mod has many options to choose from so you can select how many skill points you get per level up.
the only redeeming factor of this game was it's gameplay, every other aspect of this game was terrible, especially the story. The story was the worst part of the game ignore the bugs that made a hard enough on their own to make it through. Being someone who actually beat the game, I will never touch this garbage when the original mass effect series exists, even with its disappointing ending.
I would imagine with ME5 in development that there’s going to be a lot of people checking out Andromeda in preparation, since the devs all but confirmed that ME5 is connected to both the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies, so for those people that do play the game I hope the mods in this video make it more enjoyable for them, but I do agree with your points.
No one can fix that game, its not even animation problem. the whole concept is broken, planets dead and the same, not interesting research, cut rookie gameplay. The only reason har was good its side character quest

No I am not “shilling” for BioWare, I’m showcasing the excellent work done by the modding community, I’ve been more critical of BioWare than anyone and the very last person or channel that they would care about is mine. 🤷♂️
The only mod that could make Andromeda tolerable for me would be a mod to remove the main story. I played the game twice, and on my second playthrough I finished every single sidequest available, and when all I had left was to continue the main story, I uninstalled the game.
People are going to be playing Andromeda regardless of what you or I may think about it because of its confirmed connection to ME5. For those that will play it, this video exists to at least make the experience more fun by improving characters, gameplay and cutting out many annoying aspects of the game. Other than that if you’re not gonna play it then don’t… lol 🤷♂️

These kids are great. I really hope some of these are also done for Veilguard. Textures and combat efficacy improvements are very welcome.
So far most of the mods I’ve seen for Veilguard are just different character presets, but hopefully we’ll see some more mods in the coming months!

They will still work, the frostbite engine doesn’t function like the creation engine where updates break most mods thankfully.

As always this game was rushed out the door by publishers, once it was fixed its still a great game and i wish they had of released the dlc.
I was quite surprised that they didn’t release any dlc, probably could’ve made the game more enjoyable with a solid dlc!

Unfortunately, not bro, there is one mod that might cause a crash at the start of the game being the Hair mod for Cora but there is a fix for it on the mod page!
Can you do a video with cora's romance but with peebee in her place? The mod is called romance for all.
@@clairefarron8286 I haven’t heard of that mod, I was actually planning on doing a Peebee and Cora full romance compilation with the mods in this video but I will definitely have to give it a go!
@@lordology4815Please do! I think this is the one that swaps the characters into others romances, and there was a peebee romance video in cora's place but got deleted. I haven't seen anyone doing a playthrough of that or compiling the scenes, but I'll appreciate it if you do.
I can reach max level and all skills be the end of the game. Why more skill points mod?
@@travishipp4972 so you can have more skills at the start of your playthrough to simulate a ‘new game plus’ type of save as mentioned in the video, also it allows you to reach max level without having to do any side quests, though the mod has many options to choose from so you can select how many skill points you get per level up.

the only redeeming factor of this game was it's gameplay, every other aspect of this game was terrible, especially the story. The story was the worst part of the game ignore the bugs that made a hard enough on their own to make it through. Being someone who actually beat the game, I will never touch this garbage when the original mass effect series exists, even with its disappointing ending.
I would imagine with ME5 in development that there’s going to be a lot of people checking out Andromeda in preparation, since the devs all but confirmed that ME5 is connected to both the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies, so for those people that do play the game I hope the mods in this video make it more enjoyable for them, but I do agree with your points.
No one can fix that game, its not even animation problem. the whole concept is broken, planets dead and the same, not interesting research, cut rookie gameplay. The only reason har was good its side character quest

Mods don’t make games “greater” idk where you’re getting that lol but the whole purpose of them is to customise and tweak games to the players preference and add/fix things that devs were to lazy to fix themselves.
No I am not “shilling” for BioWare, I’m showcasing the excellent work done by the modding community, I’ve been more critical of BioWare than anyone and the very last person or channel that they would care about is mine. 🤷♂️
The only mod that could make Andromeda tolerable for me would be a mod to remove the main story.
I played the game twice, and on my second playthrough I finished every single sidequest available, and when all I had left was to continue the main story, I uninstalled the game.

People are going to be playing Andromeda regardless of what you or I may think about it because of its confirmed connection to ME5.
For those that will play it, this video exists to at least make the experience more fun by improving characters, gameplay and cutting out many annoying aspects of the game.
Other than that if you’re not gonna play it then don’t… lol 🤷♂️
