The number of you who watch a lot of this but don't understand how this game show works is pretty amazing lol. The rules state that if unwilling to renegotiate the initial offer, they are to rule themselves out.

Wrong. Even the guy in the lift at the end said they are about to go global now. Selling to individuals around the world is not going global. It's when a business achieves retail or wholesale distribution around the world and that's where a dragon comes in. The brothers made clear they are trying to change their business model from one-off eBay sales. Your many up-votes suggest a lot of viewers don't understand business.

I don't really care about it, I did look up those dragons and read alittle bit, and from that incomplete knowledge, both Peter and Tej are the best options. If one of them offers, you take them over the rest. More-over Tej understands family businesses intimately and could help solve future problems if need be. Peter as he said, clearly demonstrated his worth by saying he can basically guide them properly into proper distribution and e-commerce. The rest are simply not as good as Peter or Tej.
This would explain Peters beard growth in later episodes lol

I don't watch Dragons' Den on TV, so I've seen only a few (heavily edited) uploads on TH-cam, yet I've already seen - within two days of watching these uploads - Jenny make *_at least_* two offers _that were accepted,_ and several more that were not. So what definition of "never invested a single penny" are you working with...?! I would actually say that Touker Suleyman is often the dragon who doesn't invest, even though he does a lot of talking... perhaps it's this which makes people focus on Jenny instead, since she's often rather quiet. Another point: she always has a reason why she doesn't invest - which is something which can't be said of many other dragons. Leave Jenny alone - it's getting really old now. Oh, and one more thing: *_most_* of the "deals" you see made on the show don't actually go through afterwards - when the serious negotiating begins.

Peter is the Godfather in the den, a brilliant down to earth chap who can make money out of anything. Every investor that walks into that den has peter as a number 1 invester in their minds. Good luck to these lads having Peter & Tej on their side they are going to make millions. As for the 2 ladies who clearly had nothing to offer compared to Peter & Tej, all they had was their egos which clearly showed in this clip.

Why do some dragons declare themselves out when the entrepeneurs show an interest in other dragons? Is it purely pride or a business image thing?
Has to be pride. I was so annoyed when they both 'dropped' their offers as soon as they saw that they weren't being fawned over. A bunch of school girls the both of them. smdh
They have to try and take the high ground
It demonstrates a lack of confidence, and a preference to work with others over you. So they don't accept being a second pick, just a personal boundary they have in business, and one that is probably quite shrewd.
As far as I know, they have to declare themselves out if they start negotiating with other dragons. Because the entrepreneur is making a new offer, the old offers don't count. I've never seen an entrepreneur come to the den, have two offers, start negotiations with one dragon and then pick the other when things don't go well. It's the format of the show.
@@itzajdmting that's true I suppose, but they could've just as easily stayed quite and have their decision be known *AFTER* the deal. Otherwise they come across as desperate and insecure. Would've carried more of a punch if they let the penny drop when (and if) the contestant showed renewed interest🤷♀️

Tej is pretty much the best person for these guys to work with. I think people underestimate the power of connection. British Indians share a lot in common. There’s a level of understanding that only resonates with people who have been through the same mental challenges. Especially from a familial standpoint. Indian families are a complex conundrum to face and I think tej could create a very successful synergy with these guys.
