  • Steven Holmes generated £100,000 within three months of trading but still holds down his day job - so why does he need a full-time day job?
    Steven entered The Den seeking £60,000 in return for 10% of his business. Soccer Stars creates personalised football comic books for children and solely relies upon licensing from top-tier football clubs. However, The Dragons sense a lack of confidence from the founder... 📖
    An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

      He's in a well paying job, he has a business idea..he is clearly able to manage this new venture while still doing his day job. What's the problem then? Why is it mandatory that someone must abandon their stability in order to show their confidence in their new business? Flipping idiotic logic from the Dragons.

She doesn't want to run the business long term; she wants to sell out quickly. I think (and in all fairness I might be very wrong here) Jenny seems to make offers only for those business who know what they do, where they're going, and won't require too much effort on her part. Compare that to Deborah, who seems to not mind having a nurturing role or a slightly long-term investment as much.

    The only pitch that had me on the edge of my seat and butterflies in my stomach. This guy is so investable! You can see the sharpness of his mind and he is honest and genuine. Peter plays a good game. He made the guy reconsider keeping his job and by default, the entrepreneur gravitated toward the most intense emotional challenge. This a fantastic display of Peter's negotiation, manipulation and domination skills! No wonder why this f****r is filthy rich. Perfect display of dog eat dog attitude. I don't agree with it but it is what it is.

    Love the look on Peters face whenever someone makes an offer before him on something he’s pretending not to want before he makes an offer 🙄😂

      i think peter does this for tactical advantage - like make the other dragons not make an offer...but yeah toukers offer was sound - keep his job and have a team run the company for him, whilst he makes tons of cash from tht - peter only got this through his affiliation with tennis....that was the game changer

    Why would he leave a job making 100k + when he’s already made 100k from the business whilst working and made double makes no sense leaving

    • @philipooi94
      @philipooi94 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fact is the job hes working wont grow much more past that anymore, but the business can grow still alot more, 100k in that kind of business could be considered small stuff.

      @@psychominded3243 it was a good offer. 40% and you can sit back and reap the benefits if it's successful while keeping your 6 figure stable income. He'll get 60k a year if profits maintain for doing nothing. I would have taken that offer.
