I don't think so.
If she doesn't want to invest she unabashedly says so. Hence all the jokes.
And also if she was that way inclined she could just make an offer and then pull out later down the line on the grounds of due diligence. Which she never did
Personally I think she has unfairly bore the brunt of jokes which personally I would have levelled at the likes of Piers Linney, Doug Richards, Kelly Hoppen. They invested far less and very rarely did anything without sharing.

I have to say i thought Deb was a grouch at first, but as i watched more videos, i have to say. She does a really good job of explaining why she is in/out to investors without looking condescending or being mean. I think that's a very important feature for investors as well as entrepreneurs. It leaves the door open. And i bet she has a great network because of it.
I wonder though how many entrepreneurs products blew up in the market that made the dragons think "oh wow I was totally wrong. Perhaps I should have invested after all."

None of them has the faintest idea of the cost of a quality packaging machine, in relative terms.
None of the Dragons talked about the extra space this packaging would take on any transport vessel.
No more than bubble wrap or packing peanuts would.
No one asked if the "environmentally friendly" product ie. the packaging (plastic) is recyclable.
I think it would take up more space than the bubble wrap then if it is squeeze, does it give way...
The first thing I thought was how would you get some of those packaged items through a small letterbox

I know there are some rules regulating they can't invest in products they've been approached by before the show.

In fact, most professionals that I have come across in the UK or who I know of who lives in the UK are looking to leave the UK to come to America or go to Canada. It’s very rarely the other way around.
I am very sorry to say this as I have as very special place in my heart for the place where I lived in the UK for over five years, but for me GB does not stand for Great Britain. GB stands for grandparents bungalow.

The problem I see with this is the bubble uses up so much space inside the box, you may need less packaging but you're going to end up needing a lot more boxes and shipments.

I’ve also seen the pillows of air like in their display in a lot of packages I’ve received - and I wonder if it came from their company or if other companies copied their idea (or developed it independently). I wonder how much protection a patent for their system would actually give them.

Touker had second thoughts about working with Jenny really. Otherwise, he would've made a separate offer. If it was any other dragon to partner up with, he also would've agreed. But it was just JENNY that was the problem.

A few days ago, my son went to the Nissin CupNoodles Museum here in Yokohama and brought back his own original cup noodle (ie he choose the ingredients) in a clear carrying case (with string - similar to a lunchbox or purse) made with this type of packaging (not sure, but it may have been the thicker type that they mention in their pitch).
That could be modified into tamper proof/resistant packaging for postal/courier services. They'd on-sell the service to clients too, so they won't even wear the cost long term.
I think there are similar things on the market but they have created a great product, it clearly does its job and they have stated very positive things about the product

The packaging makes each individual packaged item larger than normal so the large cardboard boxes they go for transport either have to be bigger or more numerous. Basically negates any initial savings plus you have less space on a pallet & truck.

A heavier vehicle consumes more fuel during transport, so getting rid of cardboard, which would be heavier than their plastic bubble packaging, would make transport more efficient.

These guys need to sell their patent to an online retailer like Amazon.
Amazon will not be interested in packaging that is twice the size of normal packaging. It would cause a logistics issue.
The "Dragons" are very selective on investing not just about the deal; but about what they can afford. Being worth versus how much cash you have on hand is totally different.
