Awesome! Have you tried to use yeast instead of baking powder, and let it ferment overnight? Keep all ingredients as is.... But use enough starter yeast. I think it'll turn out fantastic!

Almond nut is too hard to use as a whole. You can use sliced almonds will work better or any other soft nut.

It's an individual thing. White sugar is sweeter than brown sugar but brown sugar has a deeper flavor. 🤷♀️
