  • Welcome back to part 9 of my series where we restore a Ferguson FE35 Vintage Tractor. Sorry for the long wait, the summer can be a busy time for tractors and I have been working on a lot more which I hope to show you soon! In today's episode we will be removing the pistons. Sorry if the video is dark or some things were shaky, My wife was filming and she is still new to cameras so we thank you for your patience!

    Just thought I'd mention that the long part of the conrod should be the same side as the piston cut outs, your appear to be the other way round.

    I'm thinking the same backyard mechanic had my 1020 JD engine apart. Some guys should have their tools taken away.. Keep smilin

    I'm waiting in the part for the pump cog timeing. Mines leaking oil from the shaft

    Hi mate, your doing a great job, I will be looking for a 35 or 35x next year so this is great info, PLEASE buy some better lights they will help so muck with your presentation. Love your work

    hi kev- how do you bed in the rings ? some say work the tractor hard - current prob is after the rebuild start up was fine 2 hrs later blowing oil out of the rear crank seal pint an hr and rocker breather -

      Hi sorry for the very late reply sorry to hear you are having problems, I do agree with your first comment working the tractor which is what I do but gradually getting the work harder. I think one of the rings are broken for the sump to start pressurising its self to blow oil out of the rerank seal. let me know how you get on.

      many thanks 5hrs on the rotorvator sorted it out - no leaks or pressure now
