Cutting a extra grove in the piston for an extra compression ring makes a brilliant job of them starting. Helps with the cold weather here in Northern Ireland
HI Lance, nice run through on the piston removal. It looks like you're scrapping a better motor then I'll ever have. PS : Can you sort me out a couple of lbs of those metric sausages cos they sound really tasty. Cheers, Paul.
Great video Lance! Got the 23c engine and I Like it! Could you please make a video about hydraulic pump on the MF35 how to adjust the levers and so on? Greetings
The connecting rods in the motor that I'm repairing were in an opposite position than those in your motor. Which is right? Mine has working fine as it was.
I can see it now Lance. Bundy Bear, the new pin-up boy for Makita lol It would be great to know the history of that engine. Congratulations on reaching 30k. I hope you get a lot more as your knowledge and ability to share it is first class. Thanks for sharing

Yes the engine is in good nick indeed, It will be handy to have a good parts supply if needed with the others I have in line to recondition.

Will do. The 65 Im working on now is almost exactly the same as the 35 so when I work my way down to that area I will cover it for sure.
I'm waiting for more videos about the 23c. But would you think again, if you would put the motor together also? Timing would be very interesting part!
I will get there, Im just a busy bloke. I dont want too many things on the go at once.
I think the piston is mounted the wrong way on the connecting rod.
They are still there in the box, I havent bothered to look that hard at them so you may well be correct.

go to www.queenslandtractorspares.com.au in the technical section and there is a free manual download. You could look it up there.
