- Welcome back to part 8 of my series where we restore a Ferguson FE35 Vintage Tractor. In today's episode we will be taking a look at the injection pump as well as a fly wheel removal. Sorry if the video is dark or some things were shaky, My wife was filming and she is brand new to cameras so we thank you for your patience!

I still think there a seting up tool that bolts to the pump mount flange and locates the master spline holding gears in correct place for assembly with the cam shaft in its correct place .i havnt dissassembled mine yet but im assuming thats theres an idler in the mix .i havn't found any manual or blown view so far.

Hi Kev super videos a great help .I have a crankshaft leak next vid will be a great help .My old lady breaths a lot and hard to start so I put elec heat gun to inlet and away she goes .A chap told me to put a 4.2 kw iskra starter on it to make her spin faster did you ever here of that being a help cheers
Hi yes a bigger starter and battery helps a lot.
Did this one not have the mystery spring on the drive shaft for the pump?
Some of them have a round spring that sits in the middle of the shaft.
Hi sorry for the late reply I have notest that some of the earlier 23c engines had the spring but then some did I guess it depends who's worked on the engine in the past.
Bloody hell the poor old tractor has been neglected. If only they could talk.
I know she hasn’t been looked after at all poor old thing.
When i brought this on it wouldn't run and on dissassembly i found the exhaust ports were blocked with carbon . There was a hole about as thick as a pincil . the injectors were rebuilt and also the pump . Lookingat the pump drive housing , i see that theres been a bolt put thriugh the housing and presuming through an idler gear . So guessing its timed wrong /?Its all a guess ...
I would say its been messed around bit best to start from fresh so you know its all correct.

Thats definitely some gritty looking oil, metal pieces in the sump are never a good thing. I'm sure it's in good hands now. Keep smilin

Ps . id like to reasemble the pump drive gears with the possibulity that its been out before and could very possibly be installed WRONG as it stands .What did the factory do ?cheers

Mr kevs, can a 3cylinder 135 engine fits on a FE 35 back end?
Hi yes you can with the adapter plate and the front axle carrier everything else is the same but the 135 parts have to be from a swept axle not a straight axle

Im needing the part where yoy do take that drive housing of and on . I guessing that there could be a setting up tool to reassemble it ? ?? I think theres an idler gear in there ! Its the idler shaft i need to repair .. Am i guessing correctly ?
