    Thank you so much. I subscribed purely on the fact that you watered your 'little one' / plant and turned it around to have more sunshine...aww 👏👌. I then continued watching the video and I will revisit making my sticker sheet again. It was a bit of a disaster yesterday but I'm not giving up. Your video is much better than the other video I'd watched on a different channel x

      @@awildfaun133i spoke too soon :,,))) i am having a problem with the machine cutting the stickers incorrectly. recalibrated once with the Print & Cut calibration but it wasn’t off-set during the calibration. what’s strange is that the machine is cutting the corner squares correctly in the corners (i even did a square in each corner.) i also tried attaching my sticker cut to an 8.5x11 rectangle to keep it all aligned but it still didn’t work :(

      @@bokuwamouser that’s so strange :( I’m sorry it’s not working. It’s funny that the corners are cut correctly but the stickers aren’t. I’m wondering if maybe it’s your printer that’s off then. When you print is your original file 8.5x11? And is it printing at 100% scale?

    • @bokuwamouser
      @bokuwamouser ปีที่แล้ว

      @@awildfaun133 yep :( 8.5” x 11” and 100% scale, literally everything you did in the video. Whenever i do the regular print and cut like normal on design space, they come out perfectly. when they cut, it’s almost as if design space is warping it a bit because it looks like each cut sticker is off in a completely different way than each other..? like it will get really close to what i want for the first few cuts of the paper, but then each sticker afterwards is more off

    Enjoyed the tutorial. That said, I get to start all over and try again. I printed everything but didn't have the option to put the sheet to print at 100% so I turned on borderless instead. Figured I would try it both ways. When I got to the Cricut part, I realized my png was created at 8x11 instead of 8.5 x 11. Sure enough, that messed everything up. Back to the drawing board (Procreate)!

    Hi I have a tip for the outline so that you don't need to duplicate it a bunch x)
    Duplicate your drawing you want the outline on, hold two fingers on the duplicated drawing and it will automatically select it for you, press color fill at the bottom and make sure its the color you want your outline to be, tap feather and choose the % you want your stroke size to be, press the selection button at the top so it lets go of the layer and then press it again, press automatic and with color fill still activated press on your drawing and slide your finger to make it more opaque! If your drawing has multiple things in it you can tap on each of them and make them all different or all the same :)
    I hope that makes it a little easier for you! ♥

    • @awildfaun133

  • @margievanhandel259
    @margievanhandel259 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I really enjoyed this tut since I dont use photoshop or illustrator. The only thing that confused me was the need to tape a guide on the mat.... Thanks

    • @awildfaun133
      @awildfaun133  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason you need a tape guide is because whenever you use cricut to cut out any shape, it will offset it from the 0,0 position of the mat by about 0.25 inches or so? It does that to give a bit of a border so it doesn’t cut too close to the edge of your paper. So the tape guide is to avoid that border and be able to align your paper correctly. I hope that helps!

  • @danielaveselinova1737
    @danielaveselinova1737 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is your sticker paper size? Because I have a gap when I cut the border of the pad, it is wider and narrower than the sheet.

    • @awildfaun133
      @awildfaun133  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s just 8.5 inches by 11 inches. If your sticker paper is cut slightly off then maybe just tweak the size of the tape guideline that you cut to match it. Although mine has maybe a millimeter sized gap widthwise and I’ve never had a huge problem of the stickers being cut wonky.

    Tried this and it sadly didnt work for me 😞 im using photoshop to edit the files, initially used it to print and made sure all sizes are correct, I even tried to print it first and create another cut file base on the sizes of the printed sticker but it still doesnt cut in line, sometimes it will cut too big, sometimes it will cut really out of the line. Tried to print it outside photoshop, still a no :( too bad. This tutorial is very detailed and she's also good at demonstrating and explaining. At this point I'm not sure anymore if the problem is my printer or my cricut or the software I am using to print the sticker. I really want to maximize the whole page but I guess I dont have a choice this time but to print and cut just directly throught design space 💔 I hope cricut will soon allow the full page cutting.

      @awildfaun133  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm did you use the trick I showed to make the sticker outlines? I haven't gotten any jagged edges doing it that way. You could also use procreate's assisted drawing tool where when you draw an arc and hold down the pencil, procreate will smooth it for you and you can tweak the shape of it. I'd use the hard airbrush tool if you do it that way. You can also add smoothing to any brush by going to edit the brush and turning up the "streamline" quality of it. Let me know if that helps or if you have any more questions :)

So I tried to erase and straighten them out but no luck. I tried to cut the images as they were but the cut followed along the jagged edges. I’ll try what you suggested here and see what happens. Hi! Help! For a Kiss Cut Sticker sheet with a backing card - I can only seem to get my outline cut out when I have a white backing card (yes saved as a png) and i’ve tried the hack of duplicating the backing card to make that fully cut out but it doesn’t even register to kiss cut the actual stickers whenever i have a backing card…any thoughts on what i’m doing wrong?

    • @awildfaun133
      @awildfaun133  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm I haven’t tried having the cricut cut a backing card on kiss cut stickers before so I’ll do my best to help. My best idea is to have two different cut files on the same cricut project, one being the backing card and the other being the stickers. Then you could load your sheet, hide the layer/cut file of the backing card, and cut the kiss cut stickers. After that, keep your mat loaded, hide the sticker layer/cut file, and unhide the backing sheet layer. Then you can cut the backing card using the correct cut depth. I know it’d be more of a process to do that since you would have to babysit your machine and have it cut twice rather than just all in one go, but that’s the best solution I see right now. Let me know if you try this or if you find a better way to do it!

    • @awildfaun133
      @awildfaun133  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as the scale is set to 100%, I don’t think it matters if your printer can print borderless or not (aka print the little squares or not). The scaling is just to make sure that if for example you made a 1inch sticker in procreate, then when printed it’ll still be 1inch. I hope this makes sense. Procreate has a grid feature that I’ve used to measure the actual size of my stickers to make sure they’re printed true to size when I set the print scale to 100%. Let me know if that helped!

      @@awildfaun133 after i import back into my computer ? yes, sometimes it comes up too big or too small. but is it possibly because im not using the same size canvas as you? i was using like a 2.5wX3.5l maybe that's why? im new to this so im a just a bit confused hehe

    Apparently my Cricut decided to start shifting the cuts upwards by 3mm, searched everywhere and found its an issue which cricut is aware about and labels it as "tolerance limit" which is bad as the sheet after being cut halfway starts to cut badly.

    I did everything you said, but it’s not cutting at all correctly. I calibrated my maker last week. Maybe I should do it again? Anyhow, this was amazing and that you for doing it step by step. I definitely stuck till the end you deserve it!

    Is there another way to do this without having to draw your own stickers?

    I have tried a b- zillion times to do this the way you did and have failed! I can not figure out what I am doing wrong. I get all the way to print & cut part and that’s where things go south. Thanks for the videos though. I guess I’m not cut out to make stickers 😕

      Awww don’t say that! What exactly isn’t working? Are the cut marks not aligned? I had to calibrate my machine a few times to get it to cut right

      I print out the print copy and upload the cut copy to circut but some how the cut copy does not cut out the images, the cut does not match the image placement that’s on the print copy and the registration squares for the hack do not show up on the print copy or the cut copy. I can’t tell you how many times I redid my images, white outline, cleaning up the speckles around the images. Moving on the sewing now. I just bought a new machines. I like trying new things🙂
