One question: because the cricut has a limited dimension for print and cut feature. Does that mean we have to waste almost 2*2 inches of sticker or expensive materials every single time we use this feature? Or is there a way out to use full letter /A4 sheets completely? just like we do in a printer. Thanks

I haven’t used my cricut in months!! Totally gave up making stickers on it and had to buy from a store online. Your videos helped me so much!! Just made my first sticker pack and it came out perfectly ☺️
Haha omg the start of this video: IT ME. I got a Cricut... I don't know.. (what is even time during lockdown) in the summer? And I've hardly used it because every time it just makes me RAGE. Thanks for the video, that was really helpful. This might be a helpful tip for you or anyone else reading: If you have Photoshop anyway, you can use the Stroke function (Layer Style) to easily outline your individual stickers, so you don't have to do it manually in Procreate.
If I were still the type to cry from being overjoyed.... I could hug you right (if there wasn’t a 😷) now! Last December would be 2 years when I was gifted a Cricut. 😔 Thank you so much for sharing and knowing that there are more of “us” out there than you think. 😃
I'm glad someone said the Cricut was really frustrating at first instead just making it out how simple and easy it is. Because that was the same experience I had at first too.
I just wanted to thank you for this video. I was getting so frustrated that the Cricut design space was ruining the colours of my stickers, and couldn’t get the cuts to align properly when I did cut only. As you suggested, I set my printer to glossy and best standard and my stickers look amazing - so rich in colour. Thank you so much!!!
I don't know how to show my appreciation for this. I was so scared to make my first cut since I found out that so many people were having trouble with the Cricut just after mine got delivered (poor research on my part). But because of you and this clear and informative video I was able to make my first cut a succesfull one. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to explain your method

Super helpful tutorial! I’ve been struggling with this process for so long and had almost given up until you made it so simple and easy to follow along! Your positive attitude and humility helped me relax and not feel intimidated. Thank you so much for your help! 💛
Thank you for this video! Made me feel so much better about my own cricut story. I've had mine for 4 months now and I only opened it about two weeks ago. I spent the first month using design space only and was completely frustrated with it and its designs. I'm not a designer so it makes it doubly hard to make anything because the designs are behind cricut access, and I dont really feel like paying when the free stuff looks so awful... obviously they're not giving their best designs for free. But it just made me regret getting the cricut. I took it out finally and test cut some pieces and enjoyed the ability to cut whatever I wanted. I'm also hoping to find a good quality sticker paper in my country. When I do I will refer to this video again! Thank you again!
It would be useful to see the sticker being peeled off at the end. It’s hard to know if they were cut cleanly or not with out seeing the finished product. Great video though!
OMG OMG you are absolutely a lifesaver 😫♥️♥️♥️THANK YOUUUU, i spent weeks to figure out how to change my printer settings on the cricut design space 😞 but now finally i found a really good video explaining how to do that 🙊 Thanks again

Your video almost covered everything I needed to know; just one thing how does the cricut know not to cut around your branding? Is it because you didn't put a white border on it? I've spent all day trying to make and cut stickers out. I don't have procreate or photoshop but I do have the premium Picmonkey (which is excellent btw) and a Canon printer. I have saved your video for my next trials with the cricut and I will refer back to it. Thanks again. New subby here! 😊🥰

I subscribed just because you confessed that Cricut put you through the same frustration that it put me in. I was able to cut my vinyl, but layering has been a huge bump in the road for me.
I would love to get more info or see a tutorial video on how you edit the sticker sheets on photoshop and how you separate the front and back of the sticker sheets please 🙂. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, my cricut has also been giving me headaches because of slight cut errors and this has helped me a lot! As for color accuracy, have you tried converting your rgb files to cmyk for print? It’ll be slightly desaturated but you can edit the colors in photoshop before printing and it should be more accurate than printing rgb!
Thanks so much for watching! Happy I could help :) I have done that in the past before but I usually just leave it in RGB nowadays and the results are relatively the same for me! The biggest factor that I've found actually, which I didn't mention, is actually dependent on the type of monitor you have. Different types of monitors are more color accurate for print vs for digital media.
I use the exact same paper. Yes, the paper itself is not affected by water or moisture. The ink however, is water soluble. So even thought the paper is waterproof, the stickers will still bleed if they are left unprotected and get wet. Especially black!
Thanks for this, It's very imformative, but i have a question, how did you do the back layer? I get confused all the time learning to do them. Can i do them on the photoshoo? As for the front layer? For outlining the cutline for the stickers... would that all be on one layer ?
Hey Ruby - I am so sorry about the late reply. I didn't go over that much in this tutorial, but I could do a follow up about the sticker sheet set up if it's still helpful.
Ohh thank you so much for giving a sticker paper recommendation, I’ve tried so many already and all were not what I wanted. I’m definitely going to try them out. So sad that I found this after your September 30
There's still time this month! I really like this sticker paper, but she shipping price can be really high of you aren't in europe. Another I know that many people use is onlinelabels.com, but I've never used them before
You are very talented. Thank you for your sharing! I am thinking a sticker workshop for young members in my Sunday School! Bible story stickers collection.
I'm so frustrated with my Cricut that I want to throw it out in the garbage! 😭 I wasted so much sticker paper and ink and it still cuts off! I did calibration many times... Please help me... 🥺😔🙏
it could just be your machine! contact the manufacturer & they should be able to help you. a similar thing happened to a friend of mine & they replaced her machine ☺️
@@ajknight8640 Yes they will replace your machine if it's in the warranty period. There's not much they could do for you if it's not in that period other than try and help you power on and off and try a calibration. I tried everything and really want to throw my machine out the window.
This was so helpful, Birdie, but I still need a little more help. I do ALL the sticker-page design in Design Space on my Mac (and add the offset there) rather than working in Procreate or Photoshop and bringing in everything already designed. I haven’t had too many problems when I just print on a white background. But I hit a wall tonight trying to print/cut a page that has three different sticker pages on it, and the pages have color backgrounds. I want my Cricut Maker 3 to do a kiss cut of the stickers (with their white offset) but then do a full cut of the three sticker pages, each of which has a rounded edge. Any suggestions? Do I print once and then cut twice - a washi cut for the stickers and then run it back through with a full cut for the stickers?
I never write comments but this video changed everything for me making stickers. I feel so dumb but I didn't know you had to change the paper type in your printer and I am finally getting high quality prints that my Cricut can cut. Thank you so much!!!!
The beginning of the video was so funny “I didn’t use my cricket for over a year because I didn’t know how to use it” … that was exactly me !! But after a few videos especially this one I’m going to start using it again thanks ! :)
Thank you so much for this video! I love the paper you suggested and your instructions were key. I am a "newbie" with the Cricut and it has taken me awhile to figure out the right setting to use and the most cost-efficient sticker paper but this video made it 10x easier!
thank you so much for this video! i foresaw some issues when i was in the process of prepping designs and it's been difficult adjusting to the cricut design space but you explained things in a simple, concise way and i learned some new things too. you've really helped this apsiring art shop owner a ton! :)
Your video helped me a lot, thank you! The only thing is, I wont be using vinyl sticker paper. The sticker paper I use is glossy labels, not vinyl. Vinyl is good for a lot of applications, but not necessarily every application. As for print quality, it really also depends on finish, and resolution of print...Not necessarily the type of paper. Everything else was very helpful though.
to line them perfectly you could try a 1cm square in the top left corner of the background file and a 2cm square in the same spot on the sticker file. Then just line them up with the measurements in design space. Still won't be absolutely perfect but it's in the mm decimals at that point.
Love the video! I just started learning how to make sticker sheets :D and your video is super helpful. My only concern is my cricut is only cutting the background sticker sheet but not the stickers inside. Anyone know what could be the issue for this happening? Thanks!
This is the best sticker creation video I’ve come across yet. Can you recommend a good matte sticker paper brand by chance? Do you have any knowledge on adding glitter to the stickers?
@@birdietam I have Photoshop and Canva. Most often I'm able to find videos on desiging kiss cut sticker sheets using Photoshop +cricut but they go so fast glossing over the design phase in Photoshop. More recently I found makers who have figured out how to use Canva to make that back layer but... I really liked your explanation and thought I would ask if you had video detailing the design phase and the steps and settings used in Photoshop.
Wonderful video! Can you please explain to me how you get the Cricuit to cut all the way through the sheet but only do a kiss-cut on the stickers. This is driving me crazy!
Thanks for the walk through! The process is starting to make more sense to me now. I'd be interested to know how your process differs when you use the Silhouette Cameo 4.
Thank you for this really clear tutorial. I had my cricut for a week and already done few things as stickers and I guess I’m just the lucky one not having much trouble with it from the beginning. For now I only tried full cut stickers but after watching this I really want to try the kiss cut. Will see how it turns 😅 I also have the online labels standard stickers paper but it’s not working so well with my printer and I really wanted to update to a waterproof sticker hp(it’s actually by searching for feedbacks on Evergreen Goods that I’ve found this video, not disappointed).
Ah you're welcome! I really like Evergreen Goods. I haven't tried Online labels before - I've heard good things about them but can't give a review. Good luck with the kiss cut stickers!
This is such an easy to follow tutorial, thank you so much!! I was rusty at making sticker pages and the previous method I used was so complicated, this one is a LOT more simple and my sheets turned out perfect! I did have to make 1 adjustment, I used Paper+ since my sticker paper was thicker but everything else was spot on!
Love your video! It looks simple when you do it but I'm having a hard time with the cuts. I'm trying to print planner stickers and the Cricut keeps cutting out the letters on the sticker. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I suspect it's something with the layers? On your background sheet, do you merge all the layers together? How does the Cricut know to just cut the outline and not the individual elements in the background?
OT, but wow your snake plant looks SO fantastic! I hope it's live plant haha!:D An overall I just love your house plants in the other background, looks like they are all thriving and that makes me happy :D
Oh my godness Birdie Tam i had no idea you lived in Sweden! :O I love this video so much! the other day i got my Cricut Explore Air 2 ! i'm excited to try to make my own sticker sheets aswell! you're really awsome! ♥
I’m not sure if you talk about this in your video but I have been trying to do sticker sheets for about a month now and wasted so much time and sticker paper and laminate. Then someone told me today that sticker sheets need to not use the iOS app but the desktop version. 5 mins later I have my sticker sheets in hand.
Loved this Video!! You explained the process perfectly! Now i want to do my own stickers!😍 one question tho, how would you make glitter stickers? Laminate some glitter adhesive tape on top? Would you do a Video off that also please?☺️ Lots of love from Germany🌱
Hello! I don't have much experience with making glitter stickers, but I believe you can use a holographic laminate or holographic overlay to do that. There are some good TH-cam videos with how to do it 😊
Loved this video! I followed all steps but for some reason my circuit is only cutting the boarder of the sticker sheets instead of the stickers inside the sheet. Any idea how to fix this 😅😅😅
What a great video tutorial! Definitely one of the best and to the point tutorials on TH-cam. I have liked and subscribe ☺️ I hope you post more video tutorials on making products.
The reason you're having a problem with lining up your sticker layer with the background is because the proportions of your sticker layer are different than your background layer. Your back layer's proportions are defined by the blue rectangle but your sticker layers borders are defined by the stickers at the edges. (I hope this makes sense)
So your sticker layer is smaller in width than your back layer, yet you are resizing them the same.
To easily line up the stickers with the back layer put registration marks on the sticker layer.
Registration Marks are small squares (size doesn't matter but I usually keep mine .25" each).
You put 1 square in each corner of the layer as it corresponds to the back layer (the blue rectangle) and make sure they aren't touching any sticker.
This way when u upload the sticker layer it will have the same proportions as your back layer.
Then when you resize the two layers together they will always have the same proportions.
Once you are done resizing simply slice the 4 registration mark squares out of the sticker layer and continue.
I hope I was clear. Feel free to ask questions.

How do you slice the registration marks without slicing through the sticker sheet?
@@kaitlyna2865 you essentially crop the stickers out of the squares. That's why squares have to be away from stickers as it was pointed out in the comment.
I think that you can get photoshop to add registration marks. You can definitely do it in Illustrator.

Ah!! i’m so glad i found your channel i’ve been binging your videos idk HOW you don’t have more subscribers!!
😂😂 Thank you!
I needed someone to explain it like this! Thank you so much for sharing. I just bought a cricut explore air and I'm excited to get started.
Very informative. Glad I found your channel because I just got my machine and struggling. 😅
I'm so frustrated with my Cricut that I want to throw it out in the garbage! 😭 I wasted so much sticker paper and ink and it still cuts off! I did calibration many times... Please help me... 🥺😔🙏
Hey there :) What do you mean it still cuts off? Be sure to use regular paper when you're doing your tests! Can you provide details?
@@birdietam I send you a dm on Instagram! @official_rabbitadventures
it could just be your machine! contact the manufacturer & they should be able to help you. a similar thing happened to a friend of mine & they replaced her machine ☺️
Yeah a lot of people seem to have this issue recently 😶😶 no idea what's going on!
@@ajknight8640 Yes they will replace your machine if it's in the warranty period. There's not much they could do for you if it's not in that period other than try and help you power on and off and try a calibration. I tried everything and really want to throw my machine out the window.
This video saved me a lot of ink and paper, thank you so much!
Yay! I am so so happy to hear that :D Welcome to the world of sticker making!
I enjoy your honesty b cuz I have no clue as to what am about to do 😩
Hey we all gotta start somewhere! :)
No tienes idea de lo útil que me ha sido tu video, mil gracias 🥰
I (hate) love how every cricut has its own personality right now to the finest FINESt detail. 😂
oooppp lmfao just watching the silhouette vs cricut video now. sorry cricut, your personality isn't a 4.
thank you so much for this video! i foresaw some issues when i was in the process of prepping designs and it's been difficult adjusting to the cricut design space but you explained things in a simple, concise way and i learned some new things too. you've really helped this apsiring art shop owner a ton! :)
I love your video but i still have a question, how do you create the back layer ?
Great tutorial!! Thank you so much :0) and everyone’s comments are great so thank you guys too!
Do you have a slower and detail tutorial on designing the stickers and the back layer and exporting them as separate files.
At the moment I don't have a tutorial for that. What program do you use to make your art?
@@birdietam I have Photoshop and Canva. Most often I'm able to find videos on desiging kiss cut sticker sheets using Photoshop +cricut but they go so fast glossing over the design phase in Photoshop. More recently I found makers who have figured out how to use Canva to make that back layer but... I really liked your explanation and thought I would ask if you had video detailing the design phase and the steps and settings used in Photoshop.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I've been trying to figure out how to do this for a while.
Thank you for the video. It’s so super helpful!
Best tutorial for sticker printing!! Very informative, thank you!
You are so welcome!
Just found your channel and you have the best tutorial. Thankyou so much for explaining things clearly💕😊
Thanks for watching! I'm planning to make that video in the spring :)
You are so talented! TFS!
I did have to make 1 adjustment, I used Paper+ since my sticker paper was thicker but everything else was spot on!
this was an awesome video and i dont have the tools yet but still kinda understood it, thank you!!
What a great tip to also set the outline on the background!! 🙏💜
It definitely helps for those times that the cricut is slightly off!
I need to know how she did this haha please I’ve been trying to figure out since I found this video!
Such a helpful and efficient video. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing. Very clear and informative.
You're welcome!
There are some good TH-cam videos with how to do it 😊
3:04
what if i want make a complex stickers with sharp corners and cut exactly at the line (like anime character) can cricut do it?
Loved this video! I followed all steps but for some reason my circuit is only cutting the boarder of the sticker sheets instead of the stickers inside the sheet. Any idea how to fix this 😅😅😅
Re 8:04 Tip...highlight both Mayers then go to align and hit center vs eyeballing maybe
Am I still able to do this if I am using Design Space on iPad OS? Thank you for such a detailed video!
Thank you for this it’s super useful and yes cheap quality sticker papers give cheap results!✌️
What a great video tutorial! Definitely one of the best and to the point tutorials on TH-cam. I have liked and subscribe ☺️ I hope you post more video tutorials on making products.
this was SOOO HELPFULL! Thank you so much!!
