You are incredible for sharing this. To anyone suggesting this would be detrimental to your own business, people don’t pay for stickers because they don’t know how to make their own, they buy them because they love the art. As someone trying to get my head around how this is done, I deeply appreciate you showing how it works so thank you!
This was probably the MOST helpful video for me when trying to find how to print and cut stickers myself without half an hour spent on the person talking about premade designs on cricut. I'm too small a buisness to use a third party and this has been so helpful.
I cant imagine how much $$ this saved me on doing it myself rather than hiring it out. I am not a sticker business, but will be adding sheets to my sales. In the long run, you save, educate yourself and have fun doing it!
Yeah I wish I did this first because even though I found places that will do lower quantity, sometimes the colors can be off or too dark or the manufacturer lacks quality control… I was first using sticker mule, but they sent me stickers where the laminate had little dots or lines on it… and I found a smaller business and while they did amazing with the holographic stuff I wanted, they sent me a few stickers with debri stuck in between the image and laminate and have yet to respond to my email. It also took them about a few months to create and send the stickers to me which is frustrating as I had Halloween and fall specific ones that are now too late to post on my shop… I decided enough was enough and bought a cricket on eBay and ordered sample sticker paper, now I’m trying to figure out how to make this work. I’m happy as now I have more control and can offer different sizes, lower prices and sticker bundles! It takes more work to get this going, but in the end you won’t be throwing out money because of someone else’s careless mistakes.
I’m very surprised she gave away this because now no one would buy from her shop but still everyone buys from her and I’m so glad I found her tysm I mean all other sticker business owners wouldn’t do this
That’s the fear and reason why people don’t share things. But people will still buy your items because they enjoy your art work! Just because someone knows how to make something doesn’t mean THEY can or will 🤷🏽♀️
Hi, I run a sticker shop! And trust me, no one’s out there buying a 300-400 dollar cricut to not have to order stickers. What would you rather do, pay four bucks for a sticker or pay $400 for a machine you probably won’t actually use as much, unless you’re an artist who makes and sells stickers. Not to mention the supplies like the sticker paper and ink all add very quickly.
Whenever you buy from someone’s business your not just buying the product ur supporting their style and them as well so even if everyone knew how to make stickers people would still buy bc that persons stickers wont be the same as another persons❤
I dont think most peoplew ould go buy all of the stuff and draw their own art just to make stickers. this is a LOT of money and it also takes a lot of time to make the art
@@Mindofliz I already draw my own doodles and decided to make stickers so I happened to find her. And i thank her for this vid bc it helped me to figure out how to do it. But yea most people won’t
I've been making my own stickers with my cricut explore air 2 for over a year now and still was able to learn a lot watching your video! I specially loved the way you print your sticker sheets. thank you so much for sharing your process
There is a wealthy of sharing here. What some of you are missing is that if I wanted to buy, . And that gives me motivation to buy as my life is busy. She's not scared to share. I applaud her.
Hi, You could do a cutout border on yout cut layer the size of the kiss cut sheet. This will help with the alignment of the two images, and removes the final step of cutting your A4 sheet in two and you could make round corners on them.
the way i work around the whole visibility issue with the cut layer for kiss cuts is i make excess "border marks" on the corners of my sticker cut layer, so that it matches the size of print sheet and i can easily attach them. then, i size it to however i want. next, i use just a random shape and use the subtract function to get rid of those border marks! easy sizing :)
i can't thank you enough for this! i'm autistic and my frustration tolerance level is very low. I realize i will still have to practice and go thru trial and error, but THANK YOU for sharing all this info that you could have kept as a secret. Please know you're really helping me and so many others!
Looking into buying Cricut mainly for sticker making to add it to my business. This is the most perfect video that I understood everything about making stickers. Thank you. You gained a new follower ♥️
That’s a good idea to have that accordion folder! I have different papers of different thicknesses, matte/gloss and it just for stickers as I make prints, bookmarks, and cards. I sort of have everything stacked in different places and that’s a great way to keep organized! I really appreciate this tutorial too. I just got a cricut air 2 (I know there’s a newer model, but this was on sale and I’d only ever use it to cut stickers and help me cut bookmarks and stuff for pins on thicker paper) and while I set everything up the software is intimidating! I’m so excited to start really using this thank you.
Wow thanks! I see where I was missing some information on how to do this. I wanted to make sticker sheets but got too nervous about the results I was getting with kiss-cut style. Thank you for building my confidence to try it ! 🙏🏼✨
Amazing. This video was not only very informative but also relaxing to just have on while I was working. So many things I didn't even know I needed to know. Thank you for the amazing video
OMG!!! I’m bad at electronics now a days and I’m barely knowing Cricut machine. And trying to make stickers for my free beez due to my scrunchies business. And you just made my life easier.
Wow! I purchased my Cricut in December and haven't use it yet (I am kind of afraid lol), but with this video I will definitively start. Thanks for sharing
For the sticker sheets, I just design the sheet, import it into design space, add bleed, and washi paper for the setting. Works perfectly and not at all complicated! No need for 2 layers.
i usually use the 2 layer method just for having artwork on the rest of the sticker sheet that isn’t a sticker (i hope that makes sense) like the decorations on the rest of the page that i don’t want to cut out
Nice Tutorial, if you draw your outside outline in Design Space and then duplicate it several times you can get the Circut to then cut out the rounded corner sticker sheet outline as well, although that round corner tool is cool, not seen one of those before
You're videos makes a good pill, even looking at you is also healing. I've been waiting! I badly want to buy your stickers! Like all of it! Hope my mom lets me go already 😭✨
Instant follow! Thank you for not being a gatekeeper. Thank you! I just got a cricut maker today, and I just want to have fun with it and learn all the things it can do. ❤️❤️❤️
I am still trying to decide if outsourcing or making stickers myself is better. I was very intimidated by doing this myself because I am not good with technology but the circuit program doesn’t look too complicated. I just hope there will never be a problem with the printer 😅
I think I read somewhere that you can do two layers extra to trick the cricut into cutting your outer edges instead of cutting them by hand. Thanks, this was very informative. Love your art. Do you ever do tiny cell phone stickers to fill the sheet bottom white space. Those cell phone and computer mini stickers are the rage in the USA. Thanks for sharing.
Do you have a video of how you do the different layers with Procreate? Thank you SO much for these tutorials, you are amazing!! Us small little businesses that are trying to get started are SO appreciative of you ❤
This was so super helpful, thankyou! By the way you can send a layer "to the back" if you click on it and look for that option within the edit or adjustment settings.
One thing that helps me line up the print and cut files when making kiss cut stickers (which you mentioned around 16:00) is adding a thin border around the canvas so it's easy to line up the print and cut file in cricut! it does make the cutting process a litttttle longer because it ends up going around the border of the sheet but it helps the accuracy a lot
You could also add a Grey box outline with rounded corners in the size of your sticker sheet and stack it 4x so that it'll make the die cut around the sticker sheet instead of doing it manually. And I believe that once everything is all aligned, you could remove the thin background that helped you align the sticker kiss cuts.
@@stephaniemillan1080 ooh yeah, for me i have a pretty cheap printer so i can't print without bleed and i have no idea how exactly it gets scaled once its printed. having the box printed helps so i can measure the printed version and size it accordingly in the cricut app
Your aura is infectious. And I learned from your video. Thank you! I just have one question: Is there a particular reason why you use 3-4 different types of paper for stickers?
Thank you for this tutorial!! You addressed most of my questions after watching several other tutorials. Is there a way to cut the corners of the sheet round?
Thank you for making the in-depth video. I have been waiting for a proper video on stickers as I keep missing the classes for Cricut due to work. However, for some reason(accessing from US) I cannot use any link for material purchase. I tried changing my region to UK, still doesn't work.
Thank you for this video! I have a question; When using an inkjet printer, will the sticker be waterproof if printed on matte vinyl? I have had a hard time waterproofing my stickers using regular sticker paper, I've tried laminating and using acrylic varnish spray.
hello, can I ask if you use dye ink/waterproof ink? or using laminating paper to protect the ink? or is the sticker paper already strong enough to hold the ink for long time? thank you!
What a blessed artist you are. You hands are truly equipt to do great things. Keep it up and continue to inspire us. Looking forward for more videos. See you around, my friend. +1👍 and +1 supporter. God Bless you.
Thank you very much for this! I just have a question about some thing at the 16:16 mark. Is there anyway to make it so that the background here is in landscape mode, so that you're not having to put your sticker pages sideways next to each other to make them fit on a 8.5x11 page. Also, is there a snapping feature in CDS? TIA!
My daughter makes stickers, but selling on a 3rd party site. I just got a Cricut Maker machine for my birthday, and excited to start using it!!! Your video is terrific and helpful. Do you use the Cricut sticker paper? Or do you prefer another type of sticker paper?
Do I have a cricut? NO.
Do I make my own art? NO.
Did I watch this whole video? YES.
