    Great Video! Please do a tutorial on how to get the outline around the individual images. I watched the other video linked in the comments, and always get lost after the modify and expand step when it is time to add the extra 3rd layer to make the white background in photoshop. But this is a great cricut style, and exactly what I want! So simple with 2 files to attach and print.

      @milkteafirst  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Add the third layer, use white paint bucket to fill in the selected area and make sure it's on the bottom layer so it's an outline. If you're still having trouble, consider joining my discord - there's a #troubleshoot channel! Hope this helps!

  • @simone885
    @simone885 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I love your designs, just followed you on insta (@minimeartco)
    Quick question what type/pressure (paper/cardstock) do you use to cut on cricut because the way I do it is i have to add the backing card on design space about 4 times behind the stickers so it cuts the backing card completely through but only cuts the stickers so they come off when you peel them
    if that makes sense, im still not 100% on the technical terms lol

    • @milkteafirst
      @milkteafirst  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      hi! YES! it's an unfortunate thing that Cricut doesn't have a way to set different pressure settings for different cuts. I used to replicate the backing but my honest opinion after doing it for a while is it's not worth the time. The cricut is by far the limiting factor when it comes to production. so, I just have it cut it once (so it's a kiss cut instead of die cut) and then I use those lines as a reference for my cutting board.
      hope that makes sense!

    Hi Lovely,
    This is such great info! I was just wondering do you have any issues with colour differences from your iPad to your computer? My designs on my iPad seem so much more vibrant but than I airdrop them to my computer and they look dull. Your help would greatly be appreciated.

    • @milkteafirst
      @milkteafirst  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi! thanks so much :)
      there is a slight difference, definitely. if there is a huge discrepancy and you want to really fix it, there is a calibration machine you can purchase.
      it's not as serious for me so I don't go to those lengths. instead, what I do is make sure I draw in the right color profile (CMYK) since I mostly use the computer as a 3rd-party recipient to my printer anyway. does that make sense?
      since I'm not too versed in this, I would say google keywords "calibrate monitor" "how to calibrate monitor" loads of *hopeful solutions pops up.
      I hope this helps. best of luck Natalie!

    Hello, I’m a little disheartened, I keep having the same trouble.. the outline of my stickers is not cut correctly. I left bleed on. Maybe this is why? I think the last video i followed along the sticker size was 7x5 and they printed well but again the cut outline was not cantered and that one I made an extra outline for bleed because the backing was coloured. I feel a tad overwhelmed after three trial days 😅

    What pressure setting do you use? I've set it at as "Washi Sheet" or "Removable Sticker", adjusted the pressure even lower to 77 & it still cuts all the way through. I'm thinking it's the paper at this point. It's online labels basic white, not glossy.

    • @milkteafirst
      @milkteafirst  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can't adjust it to anything under 77?
      I just checked my pressure settings for white generic sticker paper and it's 122. I'm not sure if the paper is the culprit - when is the last time you switched out your blade?
      let's hope it's the blade... because that's an easier fix than having to find another paper supplier... !!
      also, my dial is always set to custom and my pressure is calibrated (through trial and error) by me and my particular blade + paper.

      Are you accessing DS with your iPad? I heard it only works if you're doing it through a computer! Hope that helps!

      @@milkteafirst as I'm a beginner. Very recently I came to know about sticker shop business and can sell in etsy .
      In the initial stage / when you were starting the business on stickers : with wot equipments or devices or supplies you started the sticker business on budget level? Did you started from scratch? How come you planned to earn or save money for this business before you launched this shop ? How do you plan all the funds especially for sticker shop ? What all info do I need to about shipping my products to the customers? How does etsy actually work ?
