Doug, a buddy of mine bought one of these brand new and he told me the reason that spoiler operation is incremental when lowered is to maintain stability at high speeds. It allows you to drop the spoiler a fractional amount to add a few more miles per hour on the top end while still maintaining enough down force to maintain stability. He said if you hold the button down for 2-3 seconds it will go all the way down. Pretty genius engineering.

Stay away from Bentley Rolls Royce Lamborghini Long Island, the service is horrible and they treat customers horribly when they repeatedly fail to fix issues they create by improperly fixing the car under warranty. Just saying in case they are offering one of these.

The programmatic stoppage of the wheel on the infotainment screen is genius...totally helps with fiddling around with the system while driving (not that you’re supposed to be fiddling with it while driving, BUT, you’ll eventually know how many clicks you’ll need per category to choose a “value”, so the wheel stopping helps you know where you are in the system/category...and you don’t need to take your eye off the road as much as the Menu becomes meshed with muscle memory. Brilliant UX design)
The ovals in the hidden compartments are in fact cup holders . They are designed that way to be adjustable and for coffee mugs with handles. I know because I had a 2007 Bentley. And that's what the dealership told me. And once I started using them, they were the best cup holders I ever had

People like to mock the blue interior color. But dont you forget, colors like this were incredibly popular from at least the 1950's well until the late 1990's. Until they were dropped for tan, gray, and "graphite" or black. Green lost popularity a bit earlier than red and blue. Colored interiors absolutely dominate automotive history. Bentley took a risk and didnt botch it. And now Lincoln is bringing it back.
It's almost like he never drove a car that was older than 1992 before. Almost all of my beater cars growing up had interior color that matched the exterior paint. The craziest one I owned was a white 1977 Cadillac Fleetwood with white leather seats and bright red shag carpeting matching the bright red (we at the time, sun-beaten red) dash.
Yes you are correct, but honestly i feel we can all say that the cars of that era wore the color a lot better bc of the simplicity of the interiors and how it was complemented with real woods and/or metal.
Yeah, I had a '95 Chevy Tahoe. It was blue. All the blue things he points out in that car were blue in my blue Tahoe. I didn't really think it was unusual. My father's red '76 Chevy Silverado had most of that stuff in red. (It was pretty basic, it didn't have things like mirrors on the sun visors, or air conditioning. But what it did have was mostly red.) I have a Ford now. There's quite a lot of black. And I like that better. But again, I didn't think much about it being any different than the others, because it's a black car.

Doug missed the coolest and quirkiest feature of this car! Those scroll wheel cuff links actually function as scroll wheels when worn inside the car. They connect to the infotainment system and then you can use them just as you would the scroll wheel on the dash!
The "weird oval shaped thing" inside the center armrest IS in fact a cupholder. Also, the global close button was for when you're parking your car, not for when you're on the highway. You hit global close as you're getting out and everything closes and locks.
I love the global close, no lock or window auditing, silly luxury on a 2-door vehicle. Or if it's a sunny day and you were cruising by the beach, but beggars or the press accost your vehicle, 1 tap to button up.
I've had a 2004 Continental GT for a year and had it serviced at a Bentley specialist not a main dealer at half the price. Yes it does zero to 60 in 4.7 s but even more impressive is the zero to 100 time of 9.3s. Acceleration is balistic and for the price, nothing to touch it and I disagree with the score of 6 in this video for acceleration . Only fault in one year is the PDC has stopped working. Best car I've had in over 40 years of driving - you feel special every time you get in it. I would highly recommend this car.

It's amazing how much depreciation older vehicles experience. I am on my second similar vintage Lexus LS430, and I love the luxury and reliability (The first one was crashed, but it is so solid that I was unharmed). My insurance covered ACV on the first LS, so I received enough to purchase the second one (with 140,000 fewer miles on it) for only $1000 more than the insurance proceeds. I also love that they are available for $10,000 or less, and can be serviced at any Lexus or Toyota dealer (or Sears, LOL).
A friend of mine has this in silver with the W12 engine, it will do almost 200mph on the German autobahn. He's had it a long time and has had no real issues with it, especially considering its age. He also does the servicing himself too! Its basically VW inside so generally dependable! The instruments are reshaped and tarted up Porsche Cayenne for the same year! As for the seats, the Cayenne heated seats have 5 settings and yes - you can feel the difference and they get warm in seconds and super hot!

We have to give GM kudos for their attention to detail as you say Doug. My 1990 Cadillac Brougham D'Elegance, 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood coupe and my 1998 Buick Regal all have detailed color matching seat belts and plastic parts just like the didn't exist yet 2005 Bentley Continental!
If you use it like a wild animal then not 10000 you might even end up paying 25000 or so. If you use it carefully you won't have to pay huge bills often.

"Global close" was the option for market of Russia - where this car was very popular by rich oligarchs and businessmans, but the high crime rate required to have such function. Very popular was attacks through the windows or doors mostly to steal the leather bags where usually the money present in cash.
I think the Global Close button is for when you are getting ready to exit the car. Instead of having to close each window individually to exit and lock the car, you can just push one button. I always thought that would be a good idea, but didn't know any manufacturer offered it.

When you test these older cars, you never mention the service record. I'm sure that anyone who has owned a Bentley like this has kept service records. That could be a reliability point on your "Doug Score".
I had a Bentley and although not cheap to fix there are ways to get it done with a good service guy at a reasonable price. Full service tune new plugs air filters all fluids and new batteries (2) about $1800. Only surprise was replacing the tail lights. Parts were about $5800 from Bentley but we tracked some down for $1800 as well, super easy to swap. Mine was a 2010 CFS Speed. An amazing car!!!!
Great car. It would be interesting to see what the reliability numbers are. Although with a Bentley GT they are so rare that those numbers may be hard to come by.
The spoiler stops at each level because it's adjustable... That's how you set how high it is. Want it half height? Let go of the button when it reaches that step.
The Menu loadout is configured to only let the wheel spin up to a curtain amount of spins (6 every time, on the map, in the setting...)Or its fully locked

People like to mock the blue interior color. But dont you forget, colors like this were incredibly popular from at least the 1950's well until the late 1990's. Until they were dropped for tan, gray, and "graphite" or black. Green lost popularity a bit earlier than red and blue. Colored interiors absolutely dominate automotive history. Bentley took a risk and didnt botch it. And now Lincoln is bringing it back.

It's almost like he never drove a car that was older than 1992 before. Almost all of my beater cars growing up had interior color that matched the exterior paint. The craziest one I owned was a white 1977 Cadillac Fleetwood with white leather seats and bright red shag carpeting matching the bright red (we at the time, sun-beaten red) dash.
Yes you are correct, but honestly i feel we can all say that the cars of that era wore the color a lot better bc of the simplicity of the interiors and how it was complemented with real woods and/or metal.
Yeah, I had a '95 Chevy Tahoe. It was blue. All the blue things he points out in that car were blue in my blue Tahoe.
I didn't really think it was unusual. My father's red '76 Chevy Silverado had most of that stuff in red. (It was pretty basic, it didn't have things like mirrors on the sun visors, or air conditioning. But what it did have was mostly red.)
I have a Ford now. There's quite a lot of black. And I like that better. But again, I didn't think much about it being any different than the others, because it's a black car.

Doug missed the coolest and quirkiest feature of this car! Those scroll wheel cuff links actually function as scroll wheels when worn inside the car. They connect to the infotainment system and then you can use them just as you would the scroll wheel on the dash!

The "weird oval shaped thing" inside the center armrest IS in fact a cupholder. Also, the global close button was for when you're parking your car, not for when you're on the highway. You hit global close as you're getting out and everything closes and locks.
I love the global close, no lock or window auditing, silly luxury on a 2-door vehicle. Or if it's a sunny day and you were cruising by the beach, but beggars or the press accost your vehicle, 1 tap to button up.
I've had a 2004 Continental GT for a year and had it serviced at a Bentley specialist not a main dealer at half the price. Yes it does zero to 60 in 4.7 s but even more impressive is the zero to 100 time of 9.3s. Acceleration is balistic and for the price, nothing to touch it and I disagree with the score of 6 in this video for acceleration . Only fault in one year is the PDC has stopped working. Best car I've had in over 40 years of driving - you feel special every time you get in it. I would highly recommend this car.

It's amazing how much depreciation older vehicles experience. I am on my second similar vintage Lexus LS430, and I love the luxury and reliability (The first one was crashed, but it is so solid that I was unharmed). My insurance covered ACV on the first LS, so I received enough to purchase the second one (with 140,000 fewer miles on it) for only $1000 more than the insurance proceeds. I also love that they are available for $10,000 or less, and can be serviced at any Lexus or Toyota dealer (or Sears, LOL).

A friend of mine has this in silver with the W12 engine, it will do almost 200mph on the German autobahn. He's had it a long time and has had no real issues with it, especially considering its age. He also does the servicing himself too! Its basically VW inside so generally dependable! The instruments are reshaped and tarted up Porsche Cayenne for the same year! As for the seats, the Cayenne heated seats have 5 settings and yes - you can feel the difference and they get warm in seconds and super hot!
So $50,000 for a 10 year old VW.

We have to give GM kudos for their attention to detail as you say Doug. My 1990 Cadillac Brougham D'Elegance, 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood coupe and my 1998 Buick Regal all have detailed color matching seat belts and plastic parts just like the didn't exist yet 2005 Bentley Continental!

Doug has asked why anybody would want a feature that rolls down all the windows at the same time. Do I really have to pull up the video where Doug says all auto manufacturers should do this? Cause he said that sometime last year in another car. Doug always contradicts himself. He's slammed Hummer for putting logos on things, and then gets all giggity when JEEP does the same thing and talks about how cool it is.
He said often, that every car should have this feature.. he really often contradicts himself... As i started to watch him i thought he was a real cool car guy... now i think he isn't.. just some guy talking about facts..

"Global close" was the option for market of Russia - where this car was very popular by rich oligarchs and businessmans, but the high crime rate required to have such function. Very popular was attacks through the windows or doors mostly to steal the leather bags where usually the money present in cash.

I think the Global Close button is for when you are getting ready to exit the car. Instead of having to close each window individually to exit and lock the car, you can just push one button. I always thought that would be a good idea, but didn't know any manufacturer offered it.

When you test these older cars, you never mention the service record. I'm sure that anyone who has owned a Bentley like this has kept service records. That could be a reliability point on your "Doug Score".

I had a Bentley and although not cheap to fix there are ways to get it done with a good service guy at a reasonable price. Full service tune new plugs air filters all fluids and new batteries (2) about $1800. Only surprise was replacing the tail lights. Parts were about $5800 from Bentley but we tracked some down for $1800 as well, super easy to swap. Mine was a 2010 CFS Speed. An amazing car!!!!

Great car. It would be interesting to see what the reliability numbers are. Although with a Bentley GT they are so rare that those numbers may be hard to come by.
The spoiler stops at each level because it's adjustable... That's how you set how high it is. Want it half height? Let go of the button when it reaches that step.
