This was a big screen movie. Period. Who didn't watch it, I'm sorry, you missed it. Period.
I am not even SRK fan and I felt like hooting in every scene, watching it in the hall. Its with this film I have understood what is the vibe of watching a movie in a hall. Its an all-out entertainer, one doesn't need to always compare it to reality.

Shahrukh Khan proved to be biggest leader by Jawan. It takes a spine to show all the issues that he showed in the film. That was very brave of him. All the incidents shown were real. The leaders & businessman they showed were real and we as audience very well understood who they were pointing to by so & so characters.

    Dear Hasan and Amana,
I begin by expressing my profound admiration for both of you. Your intellect, eloquence, education, and progressive perspectives have had a impact on me. I wholeheartedly enjoy all of your shows and hold you in the highest esteem.
As an ardent Shah Rukh Khan fan, I've had the pleasure of watching not just 75% or 80%, but a full 100% of his movies, often on their opening day. I'd like to share my thoughts on your critique of 'Jawan.' It's always fascinating to hear diverse viewpoints on cinematic creations. Films often blend reality with artistic license to convey stories that resonate with their audiences. While certain aspects of 'Jawan' may come across as surreal or exaggerated, it's important to recognize that, given the state of the film industry at the time, we truly needed a film as unconventional as 'Jawan' to draw people back to the theaters. I can attest to this as an Indian residing in India, with family and friends abroad. The film culture in India, once a passionate cinephile nation, was evolving, and the number of moviegoers was dwindling.
It's equally vital to acknowledge how 'Jawan' transcended mere entertainment. The movie provided significant roles to numerous female actors, a commendable step in an industry striving for enhanced representation. Moreover, it addressed various prevalent issues in Indian society, contributing to meaningful discussions.
When watching 'Jawan,' it becomes imperative to suspend disbelief to some extent in order to fully immerse oneself in the narrative. It's a film crafted for the masses, a high-energy spectacle designed to excite, entertain, and captivate a wide spectrum of viewers. In doing so, it serves a greater purpose - bringing people together, allowing them to experience the enchantment of cinema, and celebrating the art of storytelling in its most vibrant form. Shah Rukh Khan, being one of the most astute individuals in the industry, played a pivotal role in ensuring that the movie would appeal to the diverse audience that India, its primary target, comprises. From a rickshaw puller to individuals from the upper echelons of society, 'Jawan' offers something that resonates with everyone, encouraging them to head to the theaters and purchase a ticket.

Is it just me or is your commentary lately has been very critical and 'roast-like'? I kinda failed to understand the need for this roast. If we're such big SRK fans/stans, and knowing its an Atlee film, I really do not understand why so many things were nitpicked. It is an out and loud commercial film. Not the first time in Bollywood and Indian cinema. Why are we being so harsh dear Hassan and Aamna ji? :( This really doesn't sit well. :(
P.S the issues they picked - farmers protest, hospital, bhopal gas tragedy (I wish they didnt edit it out from Priyamani's backstory), arms, voting and so were all based on true events/reality on this side of the border. So still, kudos to SRK for doing this especially when the masses in India say that he doesn't speak on political and communal situation in India. This was a big answer to all! And would still appreciate and applaud SRK for doing that.
Finally, 'bete ko haath lagaane se pehle baap se baat kar" was a hint to the whole Aryan Khan's false drug case that the government's chamchaa's did to divert country's attention from the actual Adani drug case to this. So much respect for SRK! He really roared out and loud this time again. :')

But i missed the serious conversation. You should have talked about the women empowerment they showed in the film. I am pakistani and i instantly got why jawan made that much numbers, its a movie that you have to watch in theaters to enjoy. when you got to know its by south indian director. you should have known you have to suspend the disbelief.
Pathan and jawan were kinda comeback of SRK to bring the people to the theaters, and i am glad they added some great issues and it reached the audience. The craze of jawan in theaters was unbelievable, i as a pakistani wanted to watch it in cinema somewhere but its banned.
Also you said that srk needs to do intellectual movie, thats right DUNKI is coming , rajkumar hirani will not dissapoint. And now the audience will also come to theaters. I like the timing of these movie realeses tbh.
I agree about vijay, he wasnt good. He didn't scare me as villian. John was alottt better in pathan.
Hassan try watching these films by switching off your brain and just enjoy the Aura of srk. I grew up watch ddlj , k3g nd kkht so i just wanted SRK on screen . And i am sure thats what an average indian pakistani wants. You are becoming too critical bcz you are a big fan of him.

While you two are absolutely right on the criticisms, the thing is, Jawaan is most definitely catered more for a theatrical experience rather than watching on your tv screens. For instance, when it comes to dramas I can relate to the roasts and personally love your roasting probably because our experiences and mediums to watch are somewhat similar. But if I’m being honest, I dont even think i found these scenes which you roasted problematic or roast worthy while I was watching it on big screen. Maybe because the entire hall around me was roaring, clapping away and whistling after SRK saves the day for each of these girls or say all his entries for example, and I couldn’t help but catch the same energy. Thats what a theatre experience does to you right, and this is what exactly worked in favor of Jawaan because the larger than life experience allows you to slip logic for a while. Thats how the movie was a blockbuster. It gives you what you want to see on a big screen but not too much on an OTT platform maybe.

The different social messages Shahrukh has displayed are based on true events. A little research will show the parallels drawn...Dr Kafeel Khan's story for starters. Perhaps the story line wasn't appealing since it dealt with numerous backdrops interspersed with Rajinikant-style stunts. All said and done, he succeeded in hitting the right button.

All the three 500 grossers in India this year- Pathaan, Gadar and Jawaan were below the average movies which did exceptionally well God knows how. But at the end of the day it is what it is. Hope there will be filmmakers who still strive to make good movies and not make cash grab below average ones just because audiences are flocking to the theaters to watch them. It’s upon them now!

Its a much needed film in today's scenario.. entertaining and catching our eyes worldwide and across all regions in India (from south director, a bollywood star- SHAHRUKH KHAN..to these reviews across borders ;)). You must keep in mind that where in today's India so many critical issues exists we look for icons who can bring awareness and hope and Shahrukh has done it through his art..its always perceived that Shahrukh doesnot contribute to the political or economical scenarios of India while this movie reflects his contribution through his art..All said and done, it shows Shahrukh is still relevant after 3 decades :)

Thank you so much for the review #Hassan and #Aamna. While watching Jawaan, I thought I was the only one who felt it was more of a tribute to Shah Rukh than anything else. I did not enjoy this movie as much as I had hoped to. I agree that Shah Rukh needs to figure out what his forte is and showcase that to his audience more. I like actors experimenting, but in this case, for me it went horribly wrong

The movie is based on true facts and figures if observed carefully and intently. Most of them based in India. If the lens of looking at a socially sound and relevant film is not foggy can one decipher the intricacy of the film. I recommend watching Dhruv Rathee's video on the film to educate yourself about this.

My brain turned off after 15 minutes into the film! I was told that there was a purpose of sending an important social message to mass audiences and doing it in a way that will appeal masses across India was crucial. Hence the silliness of Jawaan!
I personally like SRK in movies like Chak De, Swades, and Dear Zindagi

I agree with both Hassan and Aamna, i enjoy SRK's 90's movies where he looked like he was giving his500 percent and craved the audience acceptance. and the offbeat ones like paheli, chak de, and swades. What he is doing now seems to be a chaotic search for what will work for him hereon. What i admire is that he is still searching at this point in his life, he still wants to know how to connect with his current audience. That disapoints us 90's viewers of his films. The only thing i can think of is that in90's he was playing characters, and now he's playing SRK. If he can somehow play just a character again without breaking his aura (like he did in zero), that might work with all. But that's really toughto do and I feel SRK will stay on that quest till his body gives up on him.

You liked KGF, RRR, and other South Indian.... but you didn't like it.... He is Shah Rukh.. and he proved what he can... we just loved it... he tried something different and he succeeded..
