Aiman is selling the "dream" that Siraj Ul Haq was talking about - a young girl, falling in love, getting married and having a child (a typical girl that.is mostly being shown in dramas right now). So, in my opinion, she is exactly what dramas are selling on TV. There is Saba Qamar, Sarwat Gilani, Ayeza khan ( both balancing motherhood and professional lives) and many more who actually are influencers in real life.

Hands Down Amna. Your that sentence gave me goosebumps "You were intrigued to watch 365 days but you weren't Intrigued to watch Queen's Gambit". You are the best critic I have ever came across. I mean I love your "haazir jawabi" and of course I love your way of thinking.

I just don't get why Aiman khan is on the list. I mean she hasn't done a drama/movie in the last two years as said by Hassan. I haven't even watched a single drama of hers in my entire life. She isn't vocal about any of the issues happening in Pakistan. The only thing that Aiman does is put pictures of her birthdays/eid and sponsored products on her insta. Also, we aren't sure whether Aiman has genuine following or not.

I think that the type of content that they are showing in movies like 365 days is not only "glamorizing" kidnapping or toxic character that massimo was but it is also making young and adolescent girls think that it is okay to get kidnapped or suffer assault as long as the kidnapper is good looking. I think it is very repressive of them to show this kind of content

@@salayhaakhtar6372 well how much are you going to put on TV content makers? There's still social media influences. Twitter Instagram Facebook Snapchat etc. How much are you going to stop the world from doing what it's doing? That's why you have to have your own moral compass to know whats right and wrong and whats okay and what isn't.

Not talking abt u and me who understand the importance of consuming content. Commercialism he chalta raha toh we will never develop as a society. Media is undoubtedly a big big influence and we ( apparently more woke) should at least should know who actually has the power... These makers should at least take initiative... I think when watching a movie or a drama, a viewer knows exactly what can impact him/her, sometimes we watch just for the sake of passing time, a change, sometimes for fun, we don't watch everything to learn something and sometimes we simply forget it right after watching, sometimes after watching a drama, your reviews make me think oh yea you are right, this is wrong, otherwise i wouldn't use energy to analyze. Having said that, when we watched beauty and the beast, may be that time was too innocent, even the elders never thought abt it as a kidnapper story so we never realized whats wrong in that until now that we are grown ups and talking abt it. In young age, the brain doesn't function like adults, but can it leave an impact, yes or no, depending on the perception or analytical analysis a kid can do at that time. Alot of content we have seen as kids doesnt make sense now coz now we can reflect and analyze it. Its like math theorems in class 10th, you cant make sense of them until you reach an older age and then realize oh thats why they said it. Every individual has filters for good and bad, but every filter is different from the other. And these filters keep getting better for everyone but every one takes their own amount of time, some might take a day, others years...

I agree with u guys that it's important to call out issues in content, whether it be our own or international. At the same time, I'm with Amna that there's no need to waste your time on something that you're not interested in. As for whether we've evolved as human beings, I think that the biggest evidence of that is the fact that now the kind of conversations r happening, people r thinking about the kind of content they're being shown and they're realizing the power of the media and it's influence over their lives, which I think proves that we r growing and evolving and even though it's a slow process, it's a continuous one and will give results. Really enjoyed this video and I really hope u guys do more such videos in the future!

Bit by bit its affecting your personality your boundaries, moral and physical. So I would always want to read and watch stuff that ultimately makes my mind positive, open and accepting.

Means what..🙄 and yes of course content has a great impact..completely agreed with Hassan because not everyone have the same prespective of seeing things and yes of course Amna its a minority who has a sense of what to watch and what not.
