    I've been looking for a good 3D printer but didn't know which one to get since I have zero experience in 3D printer. This video is very helpful for me and I believe it will benefit other people who's also a totally beginner :D Thank you for the recommendation!! 👏

    Very interested in this. Was looking at another machine to have on my desk for quick prints and prototyping and was torn between this, a Micron, or a Ratrig Minion.
    How loud are the fans? Did they ever get the AI thing working? What do the time lapses look like?

      You should Check Out the Neptune 4/pro. Its cheaper and prints a 18minute benchy, also advertised with 500mm/s.

    BUT, some of us have older phones. For example I have an iPhone 6s. I drive an electric car, BMW i3 and the BMW App can't load on my phone as I would have to load a newer operating system to run the App on my phone that can't install the newer OS. So, I am always hesitant to buy products that require loading an App. So, the loss of the touch screen is a negative for me.

    • @Flyguy4500
      @Flyguy4500 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why do you still have an iPhone 6? Not saying you have to get the newest version every year, but that’s been a while to not get one. I follow the four year rule usually.

    G'day m8.....Bloody Quick printer! My Ender3 V2 with Microswiss DD and hotend made the same Omni box that you did in 40hrs took me 7-8 days. These new quick printers also seem to be on the higher side for a Beginner printer....Cheers for the vid From Downunder!!🙃

      cheers mate!! You should be able to rip one out on an ender in a bit less time than that depending on print speed and layer height!! I've still got my trusty ender from day 1 and did some initial testing with it on the Omni!

I have the A1 which was $399 and I don't see how there could be a much better printer. It puts out really nice prints at a very fast speed. I do like my Prusa Mini better, however. It puts out even better prints and is easier to work with.

    Are you aware that the company you partnered with for the precut acrylic is not shipping the products? I placed an order 7/19 and have not received anything from them regarding shipping date. I have emailed them to no response. I have tried online chat to no response. Very upset after purchasing your Omni box file for $65+ and then get no response from a company that is supplying your acrylic.

    Love the review.. but the 500mm/s claim is absolute BS.. u said u print at .30 layerheight.. at 500mm/s thats a volumetric flowrate of about 60mm³/s... Thats considering u use .40 linewidth on a .40 nozzle.. so best case scenario...
    This thing uses a hotend thats only SLIGHTLY longer than a v6.. so the flowrate with pla is MAX 15mm³/s..
    So it will.... Never ever hit 500mm/s because it simply doesnt have the hardware for it..
    And no... It doesnt print abs.. as abs needs an enclosure.. u CAN "print" some shitty abs or asa blends.. but if u want layer adhesion.. u need a chamber without drafts and 40°c minimum...

    • @AustenHartley
      @AustenHartley  ปีที่แล้ว

      Keep in mind its more of a beginner printer or one for small parts and quick prototyping.

    • @aronjanssen5702
      @aronjanssen5702 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AustenHartley completely agree and its leaps better than what creality and others offer at this price point... But it doesnt print 500mm/s.. not even half that, seeing print times.. its a great printer for basic pla/petg..
      Does it have a full metal hotend? Nozzle changes? Max temp?
      If it can change nozzle to hardened.. and has a 280/290 temp limit.. u might be able to easily enclose it and print stuff like prusament pc blend cf.. if u are able to print that properly on this machine, it opens up a whole new world of printing

    • @KevinLagan
      @KevinLagan ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, due to the design of the hotend the beta testers said in the discord that the flow of this printer is around 30mm3/s and the ankermake specs say 35mm3/s

    • @KevinLagan
      @KevinLagan ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aronjanssen5702 The M5C comes with an all metal hotend and has a max temp of 300c with the bed being able to do 100c and theres 3rd party nozzles like the mod3dp ruby tipped nozzle as well

    • @aronjanssen5702
      @aronjanssen5702 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KevinLagan i really would like to test that..
      Yesterday i tested the rapido 2 plus uhf hotend... And.. didnt come further than 36mm3/s with PLA (polyterra) at 215°c.. that was with a .4 nozzle.. peaking 480mm/s with .40 linewidth and .20 layerheight

    Would have loved to see the actual print quality of the benchy. This video focuses on time only but you aren't telling us the normal benchy time on your other printer. No screen, small bed size and $400. Not sure about this...
    Lots missing in this review because time was the focus. 😕

    Don't leave on your desk, these printers emit fumes for some types of plastics and for all types emit microscopic particles into the atmosphere.

    This 3d printer is a huge flop! Lack of a good slicer is a big shot in the foot. There is no offline anything with the m5c which is a joke.The app is completely useless and the files on the app are very few and arent all stl files so you cant directly print 90 percent of those files.. The slicer will tell you 10 hour print and turn into 15 hour print somehow while printing. The fact that the company's on website lies about its own features should be enough to scare anyone away from buying this. And for the price, you can get many different 3d printers that utilize more types of filaments and have some sort of upgrade so your printer can do all the things you want with 10x better slicer. And the m5 is an even bigger joke with a camera that does nothing... I wouldnt recommend this to any entry-level person either because that's just predatory to suggest a bad product to someone who doesn't know any better.
