And in case you're wondering... my favorite rum is Bumbu, liquor is Southern Comfort, sipping cordial is Rum-Chata & overall beverage is Diet Mt. Dew... I do like a stiff cup of coffee and fresh florida squeezed orange juice too! Oh and my mom's beef enchiladas, yeeeeehaw they're delicious!
Also, my favorite metals to collect & invest in currently put in order of my #1 down the list: Graded Coins (Capped Bust, Seated Liberty, Morgans & Barbers), Gold (because it's awesome & portable), Silver (the work horse of metals, some opportunity here).

Lived on the SC coast for six years. Basic preparedness! Went through four hurricanes. Stayed through two of them. Not worth it, evacuate and come back after. Stay safe brother! 👍👍👍

We're ready, but we also prep to help out family and loved one's too... unfortunately none of them are as well prepared!
Damn I don’t think I could go through that three or four times a year where I’m at. I don’t get storms like that and I’m happy. Best of luck to you. I hope you don’t get flooded out.
We typically only see a good threat once a year, with a BIG landing maybe every other year. I'm inland and have good drainage thankfully so damage is usually minimal and mostly power outages and downed trees with flooding elsewhere... But here and there, storm surge kicks in and buries homes, it's crazy!
I try to always top off my tank whenever I get to a half tank. I always carry cash. I always have some emergency cash in each of my cars. I try to keep a minimum of a couple of cases of bottled water in the house, and that's on top of my water storage. I always have about 30 freeze dried meals pulled out that we are slowly eating through, and we have a pantry that we could eat off of for weeks. I actually don't have tub water bladders, though I do have the portable camp showers that could be filled with water. Always good to be prepared! I definitely need to get the solar power pack thing together. I have some solar chargers for computers, cell phones, etc..., but I don't have any generators. The only thing I would say about the lithium ion batteries, is that I wouldn't be comfortable leaving them plugged in and charging unattended. It actually doesn't happen that often, but I've seen or read about enough issues with those batteries that I'd only charge them if I were in the house at the time. Initially I thought it was just happening in China, but after I started looking into it, that's not exactly true. It just doesn't get a lot of play in the U.S., though it is a lot more common in Asia where quality control often isn't the greatest. Anyway, great video! Stay safe!

Wow Pirate great video on basic preparedness! You covered many basics. I think of some of this all the time. There's no end to being prepared, and one could make a 24 hr video on more.
Without a doubt, so many thing to prepare for and ways to get ready. Many people just don't know until they're put into the situation... Try to just remind some people here and there. Prepped = options, and options are good!
I live in South Central Wyoming. We get Hurricane force winds 20-40 days a year. BUT! no rain with our stuff. You be safe!

@@PirateStacker Thanks. Yeah, Central FL doesn't seem to be in the danger zone. I just figure it's better to be safe (prepared); than sorry. I will be watching the latest update at 11pm. Honestly, my biggest concern is loss of power - 3 to 7 days, on average, is not fun.

We have decided to evacuate and head NW for the duration of the storm. This could easily become a Cat 5 and cause some serious damage. After seeing the damage Michael caused a few years ago we dont want to put ourselves in harms way.
